Food Giving Question: Why is there still discomfort in giving food to Buddhists?
Give food for the superlative, in accordance with the rituals. This is effective.
...... Zhuge Changqing
Learning to practise Buddhism requires faith and perseverance.
To learn how to give food, you need to follow the rituals of giving food.
Zhuge Changqing has written many such articles in the past.
Recently, a student, Zhi, who is a fan of traditional Chinese culture, asked another induction question, so here is the answer.
Zhi asked: I am a Buddhist practitioner and I do smoke offerings, but why do I still have so many problems?
Teacher Zhuge Changqing answered.
Amitabha Buddha. Blessed be the Infinite Sky.
Don't worry, everything is cause and effect, and everything will get better and better.
The teacher will help you to analyse your problem, and you should pay attention to three points.
Firstly, food giving should be in accordance with the rituals.
Many people do almsgiving and just find a random content and do it, not knowing how to invite and how to return, which leads to defaults.
Do you analyse whether your food-giving rituals are those of Zhuge Changqing's teacher?
Did you just find a random ritual to do?
Did you use Mr. Zhuge Changqing's rituals for your smoke offering?
Is your smoke offering powder real?
Did you follow the food offering rituals carefully?
Did you carefully invoke the invocation?
This is all very important.
Secondly, everything is cause and effect.
Everyone has different karma in this life, and the consequences are different, so you have to reflect on your own and your family's sins.
If you are a beginner, Zhuge Changqing suggests that you read more of the classics such as "The Book of the Induction of the Supreme Being", "The Record of the Encounter of Lord Yu Jing Yi with the God of Zao", "The Earth Store Sutra" and "The Vajra Sutra", from which you will gain a lot of insight.
For example, if you have harmed human animals or destroyed good deeds in your family, you will be rewarded in this life.
For example, when Buddha Shakyamuni hit a fish on the head with a wooden stick when he was a child, he suffered three headaches during his nirvana.
For example, a friend of Zhuge Changqing killed a snake when he was 12 years old, but he had a car accident when he was 26 years old and running early in the morning.
Fortunately, his ancestors had done good deeds before he survived nine deaths. Later, he continued to do good deeds and accumulated virtue, and is now living a happy life.
So, don't be anxious when you encounter problems, just take your time to analyse the causes and consequences, repent seriously and make more merits to return.
Thirdly, keep on improving.
Zhuge Changqing said: "Practice is like climbing a mountain, it requires a strong will. Faith plus perseverance will bring you a beautiful view.
The Buddha, who practised for 12 years and attained enlightenment and taught for 49 years, is an example for us to follow.
It is not easy for us to work and live in the red world, but we also need to teach and benefit from the Dharma.
However, it is precisely because it is not easy that we need to work harder.
As Master Huineng of the Sixth Patriarch of Zen said, "The Buddha's teachings are in the world, but not apart from worldly awareness; to seek Bodhi apart from the world is like seeking the horn of a rabbit."
Practising requires faith, patience and perseverance.
You must work hard, and since you have chosen to study traditional Chinese culture you must continue to refine it.
Teacher Zhuge Changqing has a "Five in One (repentance, food giving, life release, chanting and vegetarianism)" and "Three Golden Keys to Changing Your Destiny", which you can search and compare and do carefully.
In addition, if you are a beginner, Zhuge Changqing has written many articles on studying Buddhism, which you can read by searching the blogs and microblogs.
At the same time, read more classics such as "The Book of the Induction of the Supreme Being", "The Record of the Encounter of Lord Yu Jing Yi with the God of Zao", "The Earth Store Sutra", "The Vajra Sutra", "The Heart Sutra", "The Tao Te Ching", etc., and keep improving yourself.
What are the acts of abstaining from killing and releasing
1. Do not kill a living being with your own hands.
2. Do not abet others to kill.
3. Do not help others to kill.
4. Abstain from eating meat.
5. Do not engage in trades related to killing.
6、Whenever there is worship, regardless of what is being worshipped, use vegetarian dishes, flowers and fruit, not animal gifts.
7. If you see someone killing a human being, you should discourage them or buy the animal to be slaughtered with money and release it. If this does not work, or if the person does not sell the animal, then you should have compassion for the slaughtered animal, and even better if you can recite the Buddha's name or mantra for it.
8. Do not abuse the animal.
9、Other actions that are contrary to killing.
10. Abstain from killing and releasing animals yourself, and advise others to do the same.
