Nowadays, there are more and more obese people, not only the older ones, but also the younger ones. Obesity unknowingly erodes people's health and threatens people's health. If a person works for a day, although he/she has no disease, he/she feels backache, fatigue, lethargy, inability to concentrate, panting, palpitations and other symptoms, this is the precursor of geriatric disease, which is the aging phenomenon of various functions of the body, and also the harm of obesity.
The reason for obesity is that people pay too much attention to nutrition, and think that only animal food is the most nutritious food, so they eat meat desperately, resulting in excessive intake of animal fat and animal protein, producing too much heat in the body and no place to use, so they hoard and become fat.
In fact, the "high calorie nutrition theory" above is out of date. Advertisements in newspapers, television and radio in Europe and the United States all emphasize that "this is a low-calorie food". Therefore, the latest nutriology in Europe and the United States has also abandoned the high-calorie theory of animal food, and has made progress to vegetarianism with the goal of "low calorie". 现在肥胖的人不断地增多,不止是年纪大的人胖,年轻的,年少的肥胖者弈屡见不鲜。肥胖在不知不觉中侵蚀了人们的身体,威胁着人们的健康。如果一个人工作一天之后,虽然他/她没有什么疾病,但感觉有腰酸背痛,疲倦,懒散无力,无法集中注意力,喘气,心悸等症状,这就是老人病的前兆,这就是身体各部机能的老化现象,也是肥胖的贻害。
肥胖的原因,是因为人们过于讲究营养,又认为只有动物性食物才是含营养最丰富的食物,于是拼命吃肉类,导致动物性脂肪和动物性蛋白质摄取过多,在体内产生过多的热量而无处使用,便囤积而发胖。
其实上面那种“高热量营养论”,已不合时代了。欧美国家报纸,电视,广播等推出的广告,都着重标明“这是低热量食品”。所以欧美最新的营养学,也已抛弃动物性食物的高热量学说,而以“低热量”为目标,可以说进步到素食主义了。因为植物性的食物热量低,所以素食的人能保持适当的体重,并且素食能使血液变为微碱性,使身体的新陈代谢作用活泼起来,可以把积蓄于体内过多的脂肪及糖分燃烧掉,从而自然地消除肥胖。
在我们中国,早在古代就注意到素食与健康的关系,因而提倡素食。随着科学的发展,文明的进步,世界上越来越多的人也认识到了素食的好处。可以相信,素食之风将吹边全球。
