A child put his hand into a bottle full of chestnuts. He wanted to grab as much as possible. But when he tried to stretch his hand, it was stuck by the mouth of the bottle.

He was neither willing to give up part of the chestnuts nor able to take out his hands, so he had to cry bitterly. A pedestrian said to him, "You'd better be satisfied. As long as you take half less, you can easily take out your hands."

This means not to be greedy at one time, but to be satisfied. This is the case with such things in life!

   一个小孩把手伸进装满栗子的瓶中，他想尽可能地抓一大把。但当他想要抻出手来时，手却被瓶口卡住了。

  他既不愿放弃一部分栗子，又不能拿出手来，只好痛哭流涕。一个行人对他说：“你还是知足些吧，只要少拿一半，你的手就能很容易地拿出来了。”
   这是说一次不要贪多，人一定要知足。生活中这样的事情，就是如此啊！
