Miss Xu, a loyal member of the Kindhearted Society, called the author a few days ago and told me that during the New Year of this year, she once rode a motorcycle through an intersection in the downtown of Jiayi. When she was about to pass the intersection, she suddenly found a large truck running straight in her direction on the right. Later, in order to avoid the pedestrians in front, the car ran into the traffic lights on the roadside. As a result, the traffic light post was immediately knocked down with a bang, and the place where it fell was only one foot away from her body. It could be said that it almost hit her on the head, making her look pale and scared. However, in addition to a false alarm, it was safe, and the body was completely unharmed. Thank goodness. Now the thought of the scene at that time is really breathtaking. So far, I still have palpitations. After that, I repeatedly reviewed why I was so lucky this time. Maybe it was a very lucky coincidence, or maybe it was related to my long-term and enthusiastic participation in charity activities.

Not long ago, Miss Cai, the president of Renxin Society, specially came to Jiayi to have a party with several orphans adopted by the Society because of her participation in the "Happy Meeting" event held by the Family Support Center. Later, she met with the author. She said that since the establishment of the Kindness Society, although she has become very busy, she found that caring friends from all over the world, whether young or old, and whether they are followers of Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity or Catholicism, have joined as members, some even the whole family, and she was deeply moved by these warm support. In addition, every time she visited or helped some unfortunate families, she witnessed with her own eyes the scenes of the families with no food to eat, illness, car accidents, and sadness, or saw the orphans whose parents were dead and unaccompanied, and who had to rely on the care of kind-hearted people to survive, she was filled with emotion. At the same time, I deeply feel how lucky and happy I am, so I feel that everyone should thank God for his current "own", and sympathize and help people who are more unfortunate than us. She said that a very interesting and incredible thing happened recently. Once she and a commune member went to a very remote countryside to investigate a poor family. Because the route was unfamiliar, she asked a mobile vegetable vendor. The vegetable vendor said that the family was far away from here, and it took at least two hours to walk. There was no bus or taxi nearby. However, when he knew the reason why they were going, he enthusiastically said that he would take them with a vegetable truck. They stopped and stopped on the way, selling while walking. When they arrived at the destination, the vegetable vendor said to them, "It's strange why the business is so good today. No matter how many rounds in these villages in the past, there are always leftovers, but today they are sold out quickly. I can't imagine why." Speaking here, the author suddenly thought of a similar thing. Once a colleague, Director Cai, told the author, She said that a businessman who often sold ready-to-wear clothes in the East Market of Jiayi City once told her that if a person did good deeds seriously, God would not let him suffer, but would often try to compensate him fairly. The colleague asked him why he had this idea. He said it was an experience he had experienced in recent years. He said that he used to do business in the East Market every day. Later, he joined a charity group. Every weekend, he and his friends took tools to the countryside to help build bridges or pave roads, so he could not do business on Sundays. However, I found out later that although I sold less than one day a week, my business seemed to be much better than before. And I found that the profit I made was much more than before I did good (I opened every day). For this reason, we are not afraid to do business for a few days, but are more enthusiastic to participate in every good work.

  我们每个人的头顶，都有两个神，一个是吉祥之神，一个是厄运之神。多做善事，吉祥之神立刻跟随，好事做多了，立刻给于奖赏；如果做坏事，厄运之神，立刻跟随，不知悔改的，立刻给于惩罚。不信的话大家可以多做几件好事看看........

 有一位仁心社的忠实会员许小姐，不久以前曾经打电话告诉笔者，她说在今年的旧历新年期间，有一次在嘉义市区骑机车路过一个十字路口，当她快要通过路口的时候，忽然发现右侧有一辆大卡车直向她的方向冲过来，后来这辆车子为了闪避前面的行人，竟然冲向路边的红绿灯。结果这根交通灯柱也就轰然一声立刻被撞倒，而落下的地点距离她的身体仅仅只有一尺之遥，可以说几乎就打中她的头部，使她吓得花容失色魂飞魄散。不过除了饱受了一场虚惊外，却是有惊无险，身体可说全然毫发未伤，真是谢天谢地。现在一想到当时的情景真是惊心动魄，迄今仍然心有余悸。事后一再检讨为什么这一次会如此的侥幸，说不定这是一个十分幸运的巧合，也说不定是与长期而热心的参与慈善的活动有所关连。

不久以前仁心社的社长蔡小姐因为参加家扶中心所举办的“相见欢”活动，特地来嘉义与该社所认养的几位孤儿聚会。事后曾与笔者见面，她说自从成立仁心社之后，虽然工作变得很忙，不过发现各地富有爱心的朋友不管年轻或年长，也不论是道教、佛教、基督教或天主教的信徒都纷纷加入为会员，有些甚至全家大小都参加，这些热心的支持使她深深受到感动。此外她每一次去访问或帮助一些不幸的家庭时，亲眼目睹那些家徒四壁三餐不继，生病车祸，愁云惨雾的景象，或者看到那些父母双亡、举目无亲，必须依靠善心人士加以照顾才能生存的孤儿，内心就感慨万千。同时也在对比之下深深感到自己是多么地幸运和幸福，因此觉得每一个人都应该对自己目前的“己有”感谢上天，而对于比我们更不幸的人们则应该加以同情和帮助。她说最近发生了一件非常有趣、而且不可思议的事情。有一次她跟一位社员到一个非常偏僻的乡下调查一个贫户，由于路线不熟乃请问一位流动的菜贩，这位菜贩表示该户人家离此甚远，走路至少要两个小时，附近又没有公共汽车，也没有计程车可搭。不过当他知道她们前往的理由之后，竟然热心地表示要用贩菜的车子带她们前往。他们在途中走走停停，边卖边走，到了目的地后，这位菜贩向她们说：“奇怪今天的生意为什么这么好，过去在这几个村庄不管绕几圈，总是还有剩货，今天却一下子很快就卖完，真想不出这是什么道理。”谈到这里，笔者忽然想到一件类似的事情，有一次一位同事蔡主任告诉笔者，她说有一位经常在嘉义市东市场卖成衣的商人曾经告诉她，一个人如果认真做善事，上天不仅不会让他吃亏，而且往往会设法给他相当的补偿。这位同事问他为什么会有这种想法，他说这是近几年来，亲身所体会到的一种经验。他说过去每天都在东市场做生意，后来参加了行善团，每周的周末都与朋友带着工具到乡下去帮助造桥或铺路，因此礼拜天都无法做生意。不过后来却发觉，虽然每一个礼拜都少卖了一天，但是平常的生意却似乎都比过去要好得多，而且每一周下来算一算帐，也大都发现所赚得的利润要比未行善前（每天都营业）超出了很多。由于这种原因，我们现在都不怕少做几天的生意，反而更热心去参加每一个行善的工作。
