What is karma and causality
Each religion has its own set of causal theories, with different contents, and even quite different views on certain things. Because Buddhism has a complete and thorough view of karma, this book will use its theory as the basis for exploring causation.
The theory of causation in Buddhism has a wide range of contents. The karma discussed in this book is only a small part of it.
In short, 'karma' means that good will be rewarded and evil will be rewarded‘ The law of causation is a set of rules and laws of karma.
To be specific, there are mainly "ten evils" and "five evils" that belong to evil. Each kind of evil deed has its own retribution, and varies according to the seriousness of the evil deed: the most serious of the "ten evils" is to suffer in hell after death; Moderately, they are transformed into animals after death and suffer; To a lesser extent, they suffer as hungry ghosts after death. When you are born again after receiving the above bitter retribution, you will receive the following retribution respectively:
(1) Killing: you will get many diseases, disabilities, short lives, multiple disasters, separation of bone and flesh and other fruits. (Killing people or animals directly or indirectly is an evil act of killing animals; if beaten, maltreated or injured, it is an evil act similar to killing animals, with similar results.)
(2) Theft: poverty; Or property is shared with others and cannot be freely controlled. (Any thing or property that is not your own and is taken or occupied without permission is theft.)
(3) Prostitution: The spouse is not kind and faithful, or the wife is abducted and raped, and is not satisfied with the family members. (It is immoral to engage in sexual relations and engage in industries related to pornography.)
(4) False language: get the result of being slandered and cheated. (Lying, perjury and dishonesty are all guilty of lying.)
(5) Qiyu: People don't trust, accept or speak clearly. (It is said that the words of yellow and lewd make people fantasize, which is called rhetoric.)
(6) Two tongues: the family members deviate from each other, and the family members do harm and evil. (To gossip and stir up discord are two tongues.)
(7) Bad mouthing: people often talk against each other, and there are many lawsuits and disputes. (To swear with cruel or malicious words is to speak ill.)
(8) Greed: insatiable and insatiable. (Greed for all kinds of enjoyment of wealth, lust, fame and wealth, infatuation and not giving up is called greed.)
(9) Anger: People often talk long and short, and they are often disturbed or framed. (Anger and resentment when you feel a little unhappy is anger.)
(10) Idiot: Born in a family full of evil opinions, in a remote place lacking of Buddhism and civilization, he is obsequious, flattery and scheming. (Idiotic refers to evil opinions and distrust of cause and effect.)
In addition to the ten evils, the five evils are more serious evils. One of them is' unfilial parents or even killing '. Its result is that you should go to the most bitter and everlasting hell and suffer immeasurably long suffering. All other kinds of evil deeds have their own retribution, and there are many names, which cannot be listed here.
The main behaviors that belong to good are 'ten good': (1) no killing, (2) no stealing, (3) no evil, (4) no delusion, (5) no rhetoric, (6) no two tongues, (7) no evil, (8) no greed, (9) no anger, (10) no ignorance.
If you can do ten good deeds, you will get the exact opposite of those who do ten evil deeds. Heavenly people are born in heaven after death to enjoy the blessings of heaven; People born after death to a lesser extent. Those who can live without killing before can be rewarded with health, fewer diseases and long life when they are born again; Those who practice the rest of the good will enjoy the good rewards they deserve.
