Celebrity Story: Yan Ying, Prime Minister of the Three Dynasties of Qi

Everyone has his own idol in his life.

Zhuge Changqing admires the ancient sages, Emperor Shun, Zhu Yuanzhang, Mao Zedong and other ancient emperors, Yue Fei, Guan Gong and other powerful generals, Yan Ying, Confucius, Mencius and other sages and philosophers, as well as Gui Guzi, Jiang Taigong, Zhuge Liang, Liu Bowen, Zhang Liang, Liu Yong and other ancient celebrities, all of which are my idols.

The cosmic space is as bright as stars, and they constitute the most beautiful scenery.

How many times I meditate at night, how many times sages dream, how many times I write hard, and the cultural blood of the Chinese nation, I dare not be slack.

Just as you need to look at the Big Dipper in the night, you need to set an example in advance.

Only under the guidance of sages and sages, can people move forward persistently, can they have a brilliant life.

Yan Ying, the prime minister of the three dynasties of Qi, is a shining star in my life.

Yan Ying (? - 500 BC), a politician in the Spring and Autumn Period, was born in Laiyi Weiyi (now Gaomi). In 556 BC (the 26th year of Duke Ling of Qi), he served as the secretary of the state of Qi, and experienced three generations of Duke Ling, Duke Zhuang and Duke Jing.

He served the country and the people, and dared to remonstrate. One summer, the country of Qi was plagued by heavy rain, the walls collapsed, and the people were short of food and clothing. However, King Jing turned a deaf ear and drank heavily day and night. He repeatedly asked for relief, but Jinggong refused. He was so angry that he met Duke Jing and said, "The country is suffering from a severe disaster, and the people are hungry and cold. You are not considerate, but you are addicted to alcohol and sex. As a prime minister, Ying feels deeply guilty." After that, he bowed and resigned. The Duke Jing was ashamed and went to his home by car. He was deeply moved to see that his grain had been given to the people, so he immediately relieved the disaster and asked him to resume his post.

He is alert, eloquent and conscientious. Once on an envoy to the State of Chu, the king of Chu Ling wanted to insult him. Because of his short stature, he opened a small door beside the gate to "greet". He refused to enter, and said, "If you are going to the Dog Kingdom, you should enter the Dog Gate. If you are going to the Chu Kingdom, you should not enter from this gate." The visitor had to ask him to enter through the gate. When he saw the king of spirit, the king spoke rudely, and he calmly refuted it. The king of spirits begged him uninteresting and held a banquet to "entertain" him. When the wine was in full swing, a small official tied a man up. The King Ling asked the reason for the move, and the petty official reported that he was from the State of Qi and was guilty of theft. The king deliberately sneered: "The Qi people love to steal!" Ying immediately got up and said to each other: "I heard that orange is orange when it was born in Huainan, and orange when it was born in Huaibei. Its branches and leaves are similar, but the fruit taste is different, which is caused by the difference of water and soil. The Qi people do not steal in China, but they become thieves when they arrive in the State of Chu. Is it not the water and soil of Chu that makes it so?" The king of spirit met the wall again, and had to laugh at himself and said that the sages should not be teased at will.

He advocates thrift. He did it himself. "I don't care about meat, I don't care about clothes and silk." Duke Jing once went to his house in person, and saw that his residence was dark and narrow. He wanted to build a Chinese house for him several times, but was rejected. He doesn't like being attached to his voice. His friend Gao Quan is his housekeeper. He has worked hard for three years, but he was dismissed. Someone asked him why, and replied, "Only saints have no faults. I have heard nothing and made no mistakes. But Gao Zheng has never put forward different opinions or criticized him in the past three years, so he was dismissed."

Confucius once praised and said: "Save the people without boasting, and make up the three kings without boasting, and Yan Ziguo is a gentleman!" The handed down "Yan Zichun Qiu" was compiled by people in the Warring States Period who collected his words and deeds.

       名人故事：齐国三朝宰相晏婴

 诸葛长青仰慕先贤，舜帝、朱元璋、毛泽东这样的千古帝皇、岳飞、关公这样的威武雄将、晏婴、孔子、孟子等这样的圣贤哲人、更有鬼谷子、姜太公、诸葛亮、刘伯温、张良、刘墉等这样的千古名相，都是令吾敬佩万分的心中偶像。

 灿若星辰的宇宙空间，他们构成了最美的风景。

 多少次静夜深思，多少次圣贤入梦，多少次奋笔疾书，中华民族的文化血脉，使我不敢有丝毫懈怠。

 正如夜行需看北斗，前进需有榜样。

人只有在圣贤的指引下执著前行，才能烂漫人生。

晏婴，这位齐国三朝宰相，是我生命中一颗闪亮的星星。

晏婴(公元前? -前500) 字平仲，春秋时政治家，莱夷维邑(今高密)人。公元前556年(齐灵公二十六年)任齐国国卿，历事灵公、庄公、景公三世。

他为国为民，直言敢谏。一年夏，齐国淫雨成灾，墙倒屋塌，百姓缺吃少穿，景公却充耳不闻，日夜酗酒。他再三请求发粟赈济，景公不允。他气愤难平，往见景公，曰：“国家重灾，百姓饥寒，君不体恤，却恋酒色。婴身为相国，实感罪深。”言毕叩头辞职而去。景公愧悔，乘车追至其家，见其存粟已尽给百姓，深为感动，遂立即赈灾，并请他复职。

 他性机敏，善辞令，恪尽职守。一次出使楚国，楚灵王欲加侮辱。因他身材矮小，特在大门旁另辟小门“迎接”。他拒不进入，并说：“出使狗国，方入狗门，今臣出使楚国，不应从此门入。”迎宾者只好请其从大门而入。见灵王，王口出不逊，他泰然予以批驳。灵王讨得没趣，又设宴“招待”他。酒兴正浓时，有小吏缚一人来。灵王动问原由，小吏禀告：系齐国人，犯盗窃罪。王故意讥讽道：“原来齐人爱偷盗! ”婴立即起座，正色对曰：“吾闻橘生于淮南则为橘，生于淮北则为枳，其枝叶相似而果味截然不同，系水土不一所致。齐人在国内不为盗，至楚国则变为盗，岂非楚之水土使其然乎! ”灵王再次碰壁，只好自己解嘲说，对圣贤者不可随意戏弄。

他崇尚俭朴节约。自己身体力行，“食不重肉，妾不衣帛。”景公曾亲至其家，见其住处阴暗狭窄，数次要为其修建华舍，均被谢绝。他不喜他人对其随声附合，其友高纠为其管家，辛勤用事已3年，竟被辞退。有人问其故，答曰：“唯圣人无过。我孤寡闻，不无差错，而高纠三年来从未提出不同见解，亦未给予批评，故辞退之。”

   孔子曾赞曰：“救民百姓而不夸，行补三君而不有，晏子果君子也!”传世《晏子春秋》，是战国时人搜集有关他的言行编辑而成。
