A disciple asked, how did Confucius treat ancestor worship?

Confucius said, "Sacrifice as if you were there, and sacrifice as if you were there. If I don't sacrifice with you, I don't sacrifice."

Zhuge Changqing believes that the basic meaning of Confucius's words is:

"Sacrifice the ancestors as if they were really in front of them; worship the gods as if they were really in front of them. If I don't participate in the sacrifice in person, it's like not holding the sacrifice."

Like Confucius, let us sincerely worship our ancestors and gods.

Don't do any evil, and do all good.

有弟子问，孔子如何对待祭祖敬神？

孔子说：“祭如在，祭神如神在。吾不与祭，如不祭。”

诸葛长青认为孔子这段话的基本意思是：

“祭祀祖先，就像祖先真在面前一样；祭神，就像神真在面前一样。我如果不亲自参加祭祀，那就和没有举行祭祀一样。”

让我们像孔子一样，诚心诚意祭祖敬神。

诸恶莫作，众善奉行。
