Think carefully. From ancient times to modern times, it is hard to find a diligent scholar like Chairman Mao.

Chairman Mao embodied the brilliance of statesman, thinker, educator, strategist, philosopher, poet, speaker, strategist.

It can be said that there is no one before and no one after.

Zhuge Changqing believes that Chairman Mao's reading has the following distinctive characteristics:

First, read widely. As long as it is conducive to improving the quality and encouraging your fighting spirit, read it. Traditional culture, unofficial novels and biographies of celebrities at all times and in all countries are really shining like stars. I think... reading is like eating. Only when you have more dishes can you have more nutrition.

Second, think about reading. Chairman Mao always reads books with questions and thoughts, annotates the books from time to time, and writes his own thoughts from time to time. When he was a teenager, he carefully read the biographies of the world heroes, and the comments were everywhere. Confucius also said, "Learning without thinking is useless, and thinking without learning is dangerous".

Third, study hard. Even in the war gap, he should read carefully. When he hit a place, he immediately arranged someone to collect books. I read books in the war space. I think it's amazing! He is the best scholar in the world.

Fourth, practice reading. He read books not to hunt for anecdotes, but to think about how to practice. He always takes its essence to guide practice. Zhuge Changqing: Cases from ancient and modern times and at home and abroad have become a living textbook for the world of wisdom. It can be said that he is the best historical emperor who uses books.

   我更敬佩毛主席的孜孜不倦的读书精神。

   仔细思考，古往今来，象毛主席这样读书用书勤奋不辍的，真是千古难觅啊。

   毛主席的身上体现着政治家、思想家、教育家、军事家、哲学家、诗人、演讲家、战略家……的光辉。

   可谓是前无古人，后无来者。

   诸葛长青研究认为毛主席的读书有以下几个鲜明特点：

   一是博览群书。只要有利于提升素质、鼓舞自己斗志的，都拿来读。传统文化、野史小说、古今中外名人传记，真是灿若星辰。我觉得……读书就象吃饭，你只有菜肴多了，才能营养更丰富。

   二是思考读书。毛主席总是带着问题看书、带着思考看书，不时的在书上批注，不时的写上自己的思考。他十几岁就认真读过世界英雄列传，批注的到处都是。孔子也曾说：“学而不思则罔,思而不学则殆”。

  三是勤奋读书。即使是战争空隙，他也要认真读书。打下来一个地方，他就立刻安排人，专门搜集书籍。打仗空间都看书，想来真是了不得！可谓是天下第一读书人了。

   四是实践读书。他看书绝对不是为了猎取奇闻轶事，而是思考如何来实践应用。他总是取其精华，指导实践。诸葛长青：古今中外的案例，成了智慧天下的活教材。可以说，他是把书用得最好的历史帝王。
