What is the third common sense of Buddhism

(Lesson 17 to 21)

Lesson 17 Six Magic Tongs

'God' is magical and unpredictable, and 'communication' is unimpeded. With such ability, you will be at ease.

1、 'Shenfoottong' means to change freely and fly freely. 2、 'The eye of the sky' is visible day and night. 3、 'Sky Ear Communication' means that you can hear sounds from far and near. 4、 'He has the same mind', and he can fully understand the thoughts of others. 5、 'Longevity', I can know the situation of myself and others in their previous lives. 6、 'All leakage' is to break all worries and get relief.

There are roughly two reasons for obtaining divine powers: first, 'retribution', which is based on the natural sense of retribution, such as the first five powers of the heavens, and the small powers of ghosts and gods. The second is that 'repair can be done', such as Arhat who has obtained the six links, and the Taoist immortals who have obtained the first five links.

However, there are also differences between what is and what is not. Only the first five are not what is. If you have to leave out all of them, it is what is.

Lesson 18 Five Eyes

The eye is more than a mirror. It can look at things, not only see, but also observe. Visible objects must be seen with eyes, which is called seeing. It is also called "seeing" that invisible things should be observed with wisdom. Since it is said to see, without asking about seeing and observing, it can be said that it is the ability of the eye.

The five eyes are 'meat, heaven, wisdom, Dharma, Buddha', etc‘ The 'naked eye' means that only the physical eye can see the form and color. When it is blocked by darkness, it cannot see‘ The eye of heaven 'can be seen day and night regardless of distance, which is unimpeded‘ Wisdom 'can see through the false, understand the truth of vacuum, and do not mistake the false for the true‘ The eyes of the Dharma are all the ways in the world‘ Buddha's eye 'is a combination of the first four kinds of eyes, which can be rounded.

The first two eyes are practical eyes. 3、 Four or two, that is to observe with wisdom. The latter is to use eyes and wisdom, and to be mellow and non-stubborn.

Lesson 19 The method of no leakage

"Leakage" means to leak out. This leak is a kind of annoyance, but it is a metaphor. If a water bottle has holes, the water will leak out.

There are four explanations for leakage: First, the six elements such as eyes and ears constantly climb to the dust, causing troubles and leakage. 2、 Worry is more broken than bottle, and heart is more water. Only worry, there is leakage. 3、 Because of worry, the right path will be lost. 4、 If you have trouble, you can miss life and death.

All the laws in the world are harmed by unknown troubles. It is good and evil to not think about them and not ask about them. There are always leaks. The birth method is arbitrary and vexed, and it is called Nirvana.

Lesson 20 3 Conversion

'Conversion' is obedience and trust, and 'dependence' is dependence. All living beings are suffering in the Saha world. They are in the sea of life and death. In such an environment, everything can not be free and free. They must conform to a holy religion and rely on finding a way out.

This must be carefully examined, and the holy religion that can really solve the suffering and life and death can be converted; Lest you go wrong, you will suffer more and more.

'Buddha' is the heaven in the sky, the holy in the holy, and all virtues are omnipotent‘ Dharma 'is a classic, and all the truth is said without any defects‘ The monk pointed out that the monk who received the full precepts was the practitioner of self-cultivation according to the teachings. The name "three treasures in one" should be converted.

'Conversion' is to take the Three Treasures as the teacher, and follow the teachings instructed by the Three Treasures to seek a bright end.

Lesson 21 Five Commandments

I think too much of sentient beings. All actions are often harmful to each other. The cause of evil now will suffer in the future. Taken together, it is to hurt others and yourself.

"Caution" means "prohibition", which means to do harm to the other party. There is no evil cause and no bitter fruit. Taken together, it is just for the benefit of others.

1、 'Don't kill' All animals love life. If they are killed, there is terror and pain. We should be compassionate, so we should quit.

2、 "Don't steal" means stealing openly and secretly, which means that the other party automatically checks without permission, also known as theft. It makes him lose and hurts his integrity, so we should quit.

3、 "Don't be lewd". Men and women need to be strictly separated from each other when they live together* Evil behavior is the most shameless, can disturb society and destroy the morals, so we should abstain.

4、 'Don't talk falsely'. Some say nothing, and others say nothing. They are all deceiving others. Honest people should tell the truth, so they should abstain.

5、 'Don't drink' seems to have nothing to do with the other party, but when you get drunk, your mind will be confused and you will act recklessly, so you should quit.

第十七课 六神通
 
‘神’是神奇不测,‘通’是通达无碍。有了这样的能力,那就得到自在了。
 
一、‘神足通’,是自身变化随意,远近飞行自在。二、‘天眼通’,是远近昼夜都可看到。三、‘天耳通’,是远近声响都能听到。四、‘他心通’,他人心里的念头,都能尽知。五、‘夙命通’,自己及他人若干前生的状况,能以晓了。六、‘漏尽通’,就是断尽烦恼,得了解脱。
 
得到神通,大略可分二种原因:一是‘报得通’,就是依靠报身自然感得来的,如诸天有前五通,鬼神也有小通等类。二是‘修得通’,如阿罗汉证得六通,外道仙人修得前五通等类。
 
但是神通也有究竟、不究竟的分别,只有前五通,是不究竟的,若得漏尽通,才是究竟。   
 
第十八课  五眼
 
眼比镜子,能照事物,不但能见,并且能察。有形的物体,见须用眼,这名曰看。无形的事理,观察须用智慧,这也名看。既统曰看,不问见与观察,就不妨说是眼的能力。
 
五眼是‘肉、天、慧、法、佛’等。‘肉眼’就是只见有形色的,肉体眼睛,遇暗遇阻,就不能见了。‘天眼’不问远近昼夜,都能见到,是无阻碍的。‘慧眼’能看破假相,识得真空之理,不致误假当真,著迷颠倒。‘法眼’是世出世间一切法门,都已彻了。‘佛眼’是兼有前四种眼,能以圆融。
 
前两种眼,却是实用眼睛来看。三、四两种,就是用智慧观察。后一种用眼用智,圆融无执。
 
第十九课   漏无漏法

‘漏’是向外泄漏的意思。这漏是说的烦恼,不过取一比喻。假如一个水瓶,若有孔洞,那水是要向外漏的。
 
漏有四种解释:一、由眼、耳等六根不断攀缘欲尘,引的生起烦恼,向外泄漏。二、烦恼比瓶破处,心比注水,只有烦恼,就有漏心。三、因起烦恼,正道就会漏失。四、因有烦恼,就能漏落生死。
 
世间诸法,未知烦恼为害,不思断除,不问事是善恶,总是有漏的。出世法,就是专断烦恼,证取涅槃,所以名为无漏的。
第二十课  三皈依
 
‘皈’是归顺投托,‘依’是依靠仗赖。众生在娑婆世界备受诸苦,生死海里头出头没,这样的环境中,一切不得自由,不得解脱,是必归顺一种圣教,依靠著寻一个出路。
 
这必须仔细审察,真能解决诸苦及生死的圣教,才可皈依;免得走错了路,反而苦上加苦,越坠越深。
 
‘佛’是天中天、圣中圣,万德万能的。‘法’是经典,一切谛理说的无余无欠。‘僧’指出家受具足戒的比丘,是依照教义自修化他的实行者。这名‘三宝一体’,是应当皈依的。
 
‘皈依’就是以三宝为师,要依著三宝指示的教法去作,求到一个光明的归宿。
 
第二十一课  五戒
 
众生我见太重,一切动作,往往有害对方。现造恶因,将来定受苦果,合起来看,正是损人损己。
 
‘戒’是‘禁止’的意思,就是损害对方的事,不许去作。不造恶因,也没苦果,合起来看,正是利人利己。
 
一、‘不杀生’ 凡是动物,皆爱生命,若被杀害,皆有恐怖,皆有痛苦。应该发同情心,所以要戒。
 
二、‘不偷盗’ 明抢暗窃,固然是盗,就是对方未曾许可,自动检取,也称作盗。使他损失,又伤自己的廉洁,所以要戒。
 
三、‘不邪淫’ 正式夫妇同居以外,男女须要严分界限。* 邪的行为,最是无耻,又能扰乱社会,破坏风化,所以要戒。
 
四、‘不妄语’ 有的说无,无的说有,皆是欺骗他人。正直人要说真实话,所以要戒。
 
五、‘不饮酒’ 这件事好像不与对方相干,但是醉了以后,心性就会迷乱,便要妄作非为,所以要戒。
