The image of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva: What is the thirty-three Avalokitesvara?

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is immeasurable and has 33 typical images Zhuge Changqing

Avalokitesvara is a female image in people's minds.

Zhuge Changqing once wrote an article to explain the reason of Avalokitesvara.

In fact, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva has many dividencies, and the immeasurable dividencies and immeasurable are all over the void Dharma world. Sometimes, in order to bless those who do good deeds and accumulate virtue, Guanyin Bodhisattva often becomes a different image in reality or dream to bless good men and women.

Thirty-three of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's limitless avatars are extolled by the people.

So, what are the thirty-three avatars of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva?

Zhuge Changqing will share the "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's thirty-three parts" with those who are destined:

Avalokitesvara has various names and images, such as six Avalokitesvara, seven Avalokitesvara, and thirty-three Avalokitesvara (called thirty-three body), but generally speaking, Avalokitesvara refers to the holiest Avalokitesvara as a whole.

Avalokitesvara statues in Chinese temples often act as female faces. The statue of Goddess of Mercy began in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and flourished after the Tang Dynasty.

"Thirty-three body" Guanyin is often mentioned. According to the "Pumenpin" in Volume VII of the Fahua Sutra, Guanyin has thirty-three kinds of changes in the form of Samadhi:

A Buddha,

II. The Buddha's body,

Three sounds to hear the body,

The body of the four Brahmans,

The Five Emperors released themselves,

6. Being in heaven,

The seven great powers are in heaven,

Eight-day general,

Jiu Pi Sha Gate,

Ten Little Kings,

Eleven elders,

Twelve Jushi,

Thirteen kill officials,

Fourteen Brahmans,

Fifteen hills,

Sixteen nuns,

Seventeen Youpo Sedan,

Eighteen Youpo Yi,

19 Elderly women,

20 Jushi women,

Twenty-one officers killed women,

Twenty-two Brahman women,

Twenty-three boys,

Twenty-four virgins,

Twenty-five days,

Twenty six dragon bodies,

Twenty-seventh night fork body,

Twenty-eight Ganta Bodhi,

Twenty-nine Ashura,

The body of thirty garrets,

Thirty-one tight,

Thirty-two Maharaja,

Thirty-three hold the body of Vajra.

观世音菩萨，在人们心中是女子形象。

实际上，观音菩萨有许多分身，无量分身无量遍布虚空法界。有时候，观音菩萨为了加持行善积德的人，经常在现实或者梦中变成不同形象给善男子善女子加持护佑。

观世音菩萨无量分身中，有三十三个分身是民间传颂的。

那么，观世音菩萨三十三个分身有哪些呢？

观世音菩萨有各种不同名称和形象，如六观音、七观音及至三十三观音（称三十三身），但一般所说的观音是指作为总体的圣观音。

中国寺院中的观音塑像常作女相。女相观音造像约始于南北朝，盛于唐代以后。

“三十三身”观音常被提及，按《法华经》卷七〈普门品〉所说，观音由普现色身三昧示现之三十三种变化身：

一佛身，

二辟支佛身，

三声闻身，

四梵王身，

五帝释身，

六自在天身，

七大自在天身，

八天大将军身，

九毗沙门身，

十小王身，

十一长者身，

十二居士身，

十三宰官身，

十四婆罗门身，

十五比丘身，

十六比丘尼身，

十七优婆塞身，

十八优婆夷身，

十九长者妇女身，

二十居士妇女身，

廿一宰官妇女身，

廿二婆罗门妇女身，

廿三童男身，

廿四童女身，

廿五天身，

廿六龙身，

廿七夜叉身，

廿八干闼婆身，

廿九阿修罗身，

三十迦楼罗身，

三十一紧那罗身，

三十二摩睺罗伽身，

三十三执金刚神身。

我们感恩观世音菩萨对人类护佑。

诸恶莫作，众善奉行。
