Three Enlightenment of Davos to China

"Davos", a term that was still far away from us a few days ago, has entered people's vision at a high frequency these two days, and has become the focus of public opinion. With the Summer Davos Annual Conference held in Dalian, the new forum of equality and openness, the ideological storm of new leaders, and the value consensus of social responsibility have brought us a lot of inspiration while refreshing people

Inspiration 1: There is no rigid procedure and no limitation of views. The atmosphere created by Davos is to let every participant communicate in an open, equal and interactive environment. A Chinese entrepreneur who has participated in the Davos Forum for many times described his feelings as follows: "Davos has created an atmosphere in which everyone is walking, everyone is communicating, and everyone wants to see more people or be seen by more people. More than 25% of the chief executives of more than 500 enterprises participating in the annual meeting came from China. They shared the novelty of this forum with their foreign counterparts.

The first Summer Davos Annual Conference came to China with the new theme of "new leaders". On the one hand, the forum expanded its world influence with the help of rapidly developing China. On the other hand, the "ideological storm" brought by the forum also puts new challenges and opportunities in front of China's new leaders.

China, whose per capita GDP has just reached US $2000, is rapidly promoting industrialization and urbanization. Although the economic growth of more than 10% for many years and the fourth place in the global economic aggregate are proud, the weak independent innovation ability of enterprises, the weak core competitiveness, the misunderstanding of "going out", the severe trade environment, and the huge pressure of energy conservation and emission reduction have posed a serious challenge to Chinese enterprises.

It is extremely important to be brave to meet challenges and learn from advanced international experience and practices. Davos provides us with a very rare opportunity. More than 1700 CEOs, dignitaries, experts and scholars from all over the world gathered their thoughts on the future direction of the world, and various new ideas and ideas collided constantly.

While entrepreneurs are reaping new ideas, this mockery of the "ideological storm" brings more thought. Although China has created an economic miracle and the list of Chinese enterprises in the world's top 500 has been gradually extended, more enterprises are still in the growth stage, and more enterprises still lack international competitiveness. The new ideas and concepts emerging in Davos rarely come from Chinese enterprises themselves. People can't help thinking: When can China's new leader really lead the world trend?

Fang Fahe, vice president of Neusoft Group, believes that Chinese enterprises must go global if they want to lead the world. The quality and strategic vision of entrepreneurs are crucial.

With a broad vision, good at seizing opportunities, a spirit of reform, and the courage to be responsible, we need more such new leaders. Only in this way can we realize China's transformation from an economic power to an economic power.

Inspiration 3: The goal of enterprises is to make profits, but they should also bear social responsibilities. The new leaders and the old leaders at the Davos Forum reached a consensus that a sense of responsibility and mission is essential for enterprises to truly become leaders.

Since the establishment of the Davos annual meeting for 36 years, the world's top enterprise leaders have flocked to it, not only to discuss the development of the industry and look for future business opportunities, but also to become a broad stage to express their social responsibility and efforts to give back to the society.

More discussion of major and forward-looking issues, more attention to growth-oriented enterprises and emerging economies, more attention to underdeveloped regions and the poor, more attention to the balance, coordination and sustainability of development, and play a positive role in the development, progress and harmony of the world - this strong sense of responsibility and mission is a shock and inspiration to the Chinese entrepreneurs attending the meeting.

Wang Jianzhou, one of the executive chairmen of this annual meeting and the president of China Mobile Communications Corporation, has participated in the Davos annual meeting for many times. He wrote that when many world-class entrepreneurs gathered, what he saw and heard was not a simple business point of view, but a social point of view. In this forum, enterprises put themselves in the perspective of corporate citizens and emphasize their responsibility to the whole society.

"The international community has strict requirements for corporate social responsibility. If an enterprise is not an enterprise willing to take responsibility, it is difficult for it to be recognized by its partners and has no capacity for sustainable development." Sun Yinhuan, chairman of Dalian Yida Group, has deep feelings through these three days of exchanges: "Every enterprise should have a strong sense of responsibility and mission, just like the Davos Forum itself."

Fang Fahe, the vice president of Neusoft Group, discussed many environmental issues rarely discussed by enterprises in China in recent days, as well as some cultural topics, such as poverty reduction. The role of a new generation of fast-growing multinational companies as new leaders is the focus of this annual meeting. Guo Lanshi, global president and chief executive officer of American Anke Consulting Co., Ltd., said that social responsibility has increasingly become an important part of the core values of multinational companies, and the core values of the next generation of global top 500 companies cannot be separated from social responsibility.

"The prosperity brought by rapid development and the eager desire for more rapid development make it easy for many entrepreneurs to ignore their social responsibilities." Fang Fahe, the vice president of Neusoft Group, said that they should not only consider the development prospects of the enterprise in the next five to 10 years, but also shoulder social responsibilities, establish the image of the enterprise and improve the level of the enterprise.

“达沃斯”,一个几天前离我们还很遥远的名词,这两天高频率地进入人们的视野,并成为舆论关注的热点。随着夏季达沃斯年会在大连举行,平等开放的新颖论坛,新领军者的思想风暴,社会责任的价值共识,在让人们耳目一新的同时,也带给我们诸多启示……


启示一:没有刻板的程序,没有观点的限制,达沃斯营造的氛围就是让每一个参与者在开放、平等、互动的环境中交流。达沃斯的魅力和成就证明:会议的方式无需千篇一律,真知灼见往往产生于不拘一格的碰撞之中

“竹林”掩映下,一座座棕红色的院落别具一格。沿着弯弯曲曲的廊道走去,不时经过绽放着香水百合的咖啡吧或茶吧。

给人以轻松愉悦感的这个“村落”是夏季达沃斯年会精心设计的“新领军者村”,参会的新领军企业无论名气大小,一概按名字的第一个英文字母排序。

“宽松、平等的氛围,坦率、透明的交流,这里没有过于浓重的商业味,每个企业、每个参会者都是这个大家庭的一员。”中国东软集团副总裁方发和说。

第一次参加达沃斯论坛有关,方发和已经感受到了达沃斯的魅力。“形式很好很新颖,论坛的演讲没有幻灯片,每个发言人对自己企业的介绍都很简单,重在交流、对话。”

一位多次参加过达沃斯论坛的中国企业家这样描述自己的感受:“达沃斯打造了这样一种气氛,每个人都在走动,每个人都在交流,每个人都想见更多的人或者是被更多的人见。你在那里会被这种气氛深深感染,而这种气氛别的会上很少有。”

每一个会场上,人们都在抢着发言,争论有时会非常激烈,但也非常平等,每个人都有发言机会。而且每个人的发言都被记到纸上,最后再被总结成一段文字,这位企业家说。

参加这次年会的500多位企业首席执行官有25%来自中国,他们与国外同行一起领略着这一论坛的新颖之处。

伸手不见五指的黑暗中,20多位商界领袖手杖探路,小心前行。摸索着坐下,不知身在何处,不知身边是何人。大家一起以游戏的方式度过一段时光。这里是大连夏季达沃斯年会会场泽马特厅——达沃斯精心布置的“黑暗中的对话”会常“让人们体验健康、光明是和值得珍惜的;而走出黑暗和战胜困难,需要自强不息和相互搀扶的精神。”一名中国企业家如是说。

这些“新招”使与会的中国企业家感慨良多。记者采访的几位中国企业家都觉得,过去开会习惯了刻板的程序、冗长的报告,达沃斯倡导的直接沟通、坦率交流的形式,不仅让人产生交流的欲望,更会给人留下回味和深思。

启示二:500强中的中国企业名单虽然逐渐拉长,但是更多的企业还缺乏国际竞争力。达沃斯带来的不仅仅是一思想风暴”,也给中国企业搭建了一个走向世界的广阔平台,在新的机遇和挑战面前,中国企业应该目光远大、勇于领军

首届夏季达沃斯年会以“新领军者”这一全新的主题来到中国,一方面论坛借助快速发展的中国扩展其世界影响力。另一方面,论坛带来的“思想风暴”也把新挑战、新机遇摆在了中国的新领军者面前。

人均GDP刚刚达到2000美元的中国,正高速推进工业化、城市化。连续多年10%以上的经济增长、全球经济总量第四固然令人自豪,但企业的自主创新能力较弱、核心竞争力不强、“走出去”遇到一些误解、贸易环境严峻、节能减排压力巨大等问题,对中国企业形成了严峻的挑战。

勇于迎接挑战,借鉴国际先进经验和做法极为重要,达沃斯给我们提供了非常难得的机遇。1700多名来自世界各国的CEO、政要和专家学者,汇集了对世界未来走向的思考,各种新的观点和理念不断碰撞。

“开了三天会,如同经历了一场从未有过的‘思想风暴’,过去没有深思的问题有了新的看法,感觉对未来的走势能把握得更准了。”大连亿达集团董事长孙荫环说。

环保、科技、贸易环境、全球合作,这些都是达沃斯“思想风暴”的核心议题,也是发展中的中国亟需解决的问题。很多与会者都就此对中国的发展提出了建议:中国迫切需要改变发展模式,更加重视企业的技术创新,更加重视环境保护和节约资源,更加重视经济增长方式的转变,更加重视与世界各国沟通与交流。

从他们的思考和做法中汲取营养,结合中国实际加以借鉴,大有益处。

在企业家们收获新理念的同时,这嘲思想风暴”带来更多的是深思。虽然中国缔造了经济奇迹,世界500强中的中国企业名单逐渐拉长,但是更多的企业仍然处于成长期,更多的企业还缺乏国际竞争力。达沃斯上涌现的新思想、新概念很少来自中国企业本身。人们不禁思考:中国的新领军者何时才能真正引领世界潮流?

东软集团副总裁方发和认为,中国企业向全球发展,要引领世界,就必须走向世界。企业家的素质和战略眼光至关重要。

目光远大、善于捕捉机遇、有改革精神、敢于负责,我们需要更多这样的新领军者,只有这样才能实现中国由经济大国向经济强国的转变。

启示三:企业的目标是赢利,但更要承担社会责任。达沃斯论坛上的新领军者和老领军们形成共识:要真正成为领军者,责任感和使命感是企业必不可少的。

达沃斯年会创办36年来,全球顶级企业领袖趋之若鹜,不仅在这里探讨行业发展和寻找未来商机,更是成为表达他们承担社会责任、努力回馈社会的广阔舞台。

更多地探讨重大和前瞻性问题,更多地关注成长型企业和新兴经济体,更多地关注不发达地区和贫困人口,更多地关注发展的平衡、协调和可持续性,为世界的发展、进步与和谐发挥积极作用——这种强烈的责任感和使命感对与会的中国企业家来说,是震撼更是启示。

本次年会的执行主席之一、中国移动通信集团公司总裁王建宙曾多次参加达沃斯年会,他撰文指出,当众多世界级的企业家集聚的时候,所看到和听到的不是单纯的商业观点,而是社会的观点。在这个讲坛上,企业置身于企业公民的角度,强调的是对整个社会的责任。

“国际社会对企业的社会责任要求是很严格的。如果一个企业不是一个愿意担负起责任的企业,那么它很难得到合作者认可,也就没有持续发展的能力。”大连亿达集团董事长孙荫环通过这三天的交流深有感触:“每个企业都应该怀着强烈的责任感和使命感,就像达沃斯论坛本身一样。”

东软集团副总裁方发和这几天讨论了很多在国内平时极少由企业讨论的环境问题,还有些人文话题,比如减少贫困。他说自己切身感到了作为一个“成长型公司”身上肩负的重担。企业是以赢利为目的,但也要有远大的理想和志向。

新一代快速成长的跨国公司作为新领军者的作用是这次年会重点探讨的话题。美国安可顾问有限公司全球总裁兼首席执行官郭兰诗说,社会责任日益成为跨国公司核心价值的重要组成部分,下一代全球500强企业的核心价值离不开社会责任。

“快速发展带来的繁荣,以及对更加快速发展的急切渴望,使得很多企业家容易忽略社会责任。”东软集团副总裁方发和说,既要考虑未来5到10年企业的发展前途,也要肩负起社会责任,树立企业的形象,提升企业的层次。
