Zhao Gongming, the Taoist deity of protection: amplifying the energy light to protect the food offering

There are many gods who protect the Dharma in China.

They include Fuxi, Nuwa, the Jade Emperor, the Queen Mother, Taibinxing, Erlang Shen, the God of Thunder, Jiang Tai Gong, Li Tian Wang, the Third Prince Nezha, the Four Heavenly Kings, Marshal Zhao Gongming, Marshal Guan Gong, the Six Djinns and Six Armors, the Five Directions, the Four Values of Gong Cao, the God of the Day and the God of the Night.

Among them, Zhao Gongming, the God of Protection, is not only the God of Literature and Martial Arts, but also the God of Wealth.

Zhao Gongming, whose real name is Lang, is also known as Zhao Xuan Tan and Zhao A.D. Shuai.

He is also known as Zhao Xuan Tan, also known as Zhao A.C. Marshal. "Xuan Tan" refers to the Temple of Fasting, which also means Dharma Protector, and is one of the four great Marshals of Taoism.

He is one of the four great marshals of Taoism, as well as the general of the Thunder Department of the Underworld and one of the five gods of plague. He is the Chinese god of wealth and is in charge of the world's wealth.

The statue of the God of Wealth in today's folk palaces and temples is mostly black-faced and bearded, riding a black tiger, holding a golden whip in one hand and a treasure in the other, in full military dress.

The statue of the God of Wealth must be that of the God of Wealth, namely Zhao A.C.

The Three Teachings of the Gods and Goddesses says that he can "drive away thunder and lightning, call for rain and wind, remove pestilence and malaria, and protect against illnesses and disasters", and that "if there is a lawsuit against him, he can make him explain it, and if there is a fair trade for money, he can make it profitable and harmonious. But if there is a fair matter, one can pray to the gods and nothing will go wrong".

The Ming dynasty novel "The Evolution of the Gods" has a section on the enthronement of Jiang Ziya, in which Zhao Gongming is appointed as the true monarch of the Golden Dragon Ruyi Zhengyi Dragon and Tiger Temple, leading the Heavenly Sovereign of Treasure, the Heavenly Sovereign of Treasure, the Messenger of Fortune and the Immortal Officer of Profit and Market, who is in charge of all the gold and silver treasures in the world!

In Chinese folklore, Zhao Gongming is the god of wealth, and there are two main categories of gods of wealth: those who are ordained by Taoism, and those who are believed by Chinese folklore.

The Taoist deity was bestowed with the title of Heavenly God, and the Chinese folk belief was that he was a Heavenly God and a Heavenly Fairy.

Zhuge Changqing found that by giving food to the Taoist gods or reciting "Zhao Gongming, the God of Wealth" on a regular basis, one can receive blessings and increase one's wealth.

Zhuge Changqing wrote a poem entitled "Praise to Marshal Zhao Gongming".

Chivalrous and righteous, he protects all beings.

Whoever does good deeds and accumulates virtue

I will give you wealth in your hands.

Zhao Gongming is the "Golden Dragon Ruyi Zhengyi Long Hu Xuan Tan Zhenjun", or "Xuan Tan Zhenjun" for short, and is the commander of "Xiao Sheng, the Heavenly Treasure Recruiter", "Cao Bao, the Heavenly Treasure Reclaimer", and "Chen Jiugong, the Messenger of Wealth". "He is also known as the "God of Wealth" and the "God of Profit", who is responsible for welcoming good fortune and trading.

Later, Chinese folk believed that Zhao Gongming was in charge of four gods related to wealth, namely Zhaobao, Nachen, Zhaocai and Lisi, and thus became the God of Wealth.

The God of Wealth is an expression of the simple emotions of the Chinese working people, and holds the wish for good fortune and prosperity.

According to Zhuge Changqing, Marshal Zhao Gongming is the god of justice and, conversely, the god of good deeds and virtue, and will protect those who sincerely respect him.

Recently, a student of Shande, who loves traditional Chinese culture, took a miraculous photo of Marshal Zhao Gongming blessing the food offering (see picture).

He carefully chanted the names of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, the gods and sages, and often recited "Marshal Zhao Gongming, God of Wealth".

The photographs taken during the food offering show the miraculous moment when Marshal Zhao Gongming, with his immense magical powers and compassionate protection, emits the colourful light of a large lotus flower.

黑虎铁鞭赵公明，侠肝义胆护众生。

中国有很多护法神。

譬如：伏羲、女娲、玉皇大帝、王母娘娘、太白金星、二郎神、九天应元普化雷神天尊、姜太公、托塔李天王、哪吒三太子、四大天王、赵公明元帅、关公元帅、六丁六甲、五方揭谛、四值功曹、日游神、夜游神等。

其中，赵公明护法神，不仅文武双全，而且还是武财神。

赵公明，本名朗，字公明，又称赵玄坛，赵公元帅。

“玄坛”是指斋坛，也有护法之意，为道教四大元帅之一。

同时为阴间雷部将帅和五方瘟神之一。为中国正财神，司掌世间财源。

当今民间宫观中的财神神像，多为黑面浓须，骑黑虎，一手执金鞭，一手持元宝，全副戎装。

该财神像当为武财神，即赵公元帅像。

《三教搜神大全》称其能“驱雷役电，唤雨呼风，除瘟剪疟，保病禳灾”，“至如讼冤伸抑，公能使之解释，公平买卖求财，公能使之获利和合。但有公平之事，可以对神祷，无不如意”。

明代小说《封神演义》有姜子牙封神一节，封赵公明为金龙如意正一龙虎玄坛真君，率领招宝天尊、纳珍天尊、招财使者和利市仙官等，统管人世间一切金银财宝！

赵公明是在中国民间传说中是主管财源的神明，财神主要分为两大类：一是道教赐封，二是中国民间信仰。

道教赐封为天官上神，中国民间信仰为天官天仙。

诸葛长青研究发现，施食道号或者日常经常念诵“武财神赵公明元帅”，可以得到护佑，增长财富。

诸葛长青写诗歌一首《赞赵公明元帅》：

《赞赵公明元帅》

黑虎铁鞭赵公明，

侠肝义胆护众生。

谁若行善又积德，

赐予财富到手中。

赵公明为“金龙如意正一龙虎玄坛真君”，简称“玄坛真君”，统帅“招宝天尊萧升”“纳珍天尊曹宝”“招财使者陈九公”“利市仙官姚少司”四位神仙，专司迎祥纳福、商贾买卖。

后来，中国民间认为赵公明手下所掌管四名与财富有关的神仙，其分别是招宝、纳珍、招财和利市，因而成为正财神。

财神倾注了中国劳动人民的朴素情感，寄托着安居乐业，大吉大利的美好心愿。

诸葛长青认为，赵公明元帅是正义之神，反是行善积德，诚心恭敬者，必会护佑。

最近，喜欢国学传统文化的善德同学，拍到了赵公明元帅护佑施食的神奇照片（见图片）。

他在施食中认真念诵佛菩萨善神圣贤名号，其中经常念诵“武财神赵公明元帅”。

施食拍摄照片展示了赵公明元帅的神通广大、法力无边、慈悲护佑，放出大莲花彩光的神奇瞬间。

What are the acts of abstaining from killing and releasing

 戒杀与放生的行为包括哪些

 1. Do not kill a living being with your own hands.

　　2. Do not abet others to kill.

　　3. Do not help others to kill.

　　4. Abstain from eating meat.

　　5. Do not engage in trades related to killing.

　　6、Whenever there is worship, regardless of what is being worshipped, use vegetarian dishes, flowers and fruit, not animal gifts.

　　7. If you see someone killing a human being, you should discourage them or buy the animal to be slaughtered with money and release it. If this does not work, or if the person does not sell the animal, then you should have compassion for the slaughtered animal, and even better if you can recite the Buddha's name or mantra for it.

　　8. Do not abuse the animal.

　　9、Other actions that are contrary to killing.

　　10. Abstain from killing and releasing animals yourself, and advise others to do the same. 

   1、不亲手杀生。

　　2、不教唆别人杀生。

　　3、不帮助别人杀生。

　　4、戒除肉食。

　　5、不从事与杀生有关的行业。

　　6、凡有祭拜，不管拜的是什么，一律用素菜、鲜花、水果，不用牲礼。

　　7、见人杀生，应加劝阻，或用钱将临宰之动物买而放之。若劝阻无效，或他不卖，则应对被杀之动物起同情心，若能为它念佛号或往生咒更好。

　　8、不虐待动物。

　　9、其他与杀生行为相反之行为。

　　10、自己戒杀放生，也劝别人戒杀放生。
