A father's short life is rewarded by killing a pig; a son encounters Buddhism after an illness

        父亲杀猪短命报，儿子病后遇佛法 

 This is the story of a hospital friend's personal experience ----------

　　Zhu Kaifeng, male, 25 years old, from Zaoji Town, Luyi County, Henan Province, Zhu Taiji Village. His father, who had been a pig killer for 5 years, died of gallbladder cancer 10 years ago. He started killing pigs at the age of 20 and killed an average of 500 pigs per year. Five years later, he developed swelling of the eyelids and both lower limbs, elevated blood pressure of 200/100 mmHg, haematuria and urinary closure, and was diagnosed with chronic renal failure and uremia.

  On 13 May 2006, her mother donated her right kidney to Zhu Kaifeng for a kidney transplant in our department, after which she had to take medication for life to prevent rejection.

   During the operation, I explained to both mother and son the karmic consequences of killing and explained the Dharma to the family. They listened and realised that this was the result of killing too many people.

  I gave them both a Buddha chanting machine and before and after the operation, the whole family chanted for blessings and said that they would never kill again.

   Now Zhu Kaifeng has almost recovered and his mother has been discharged from hospital. His wife is seriously learning how to pray to the Buddha and his mother is learning how to make offerings to the Buddha, and has also indicated that there is a grandmother in her 80s at home. I taught her whole family to chant the Buddha well. 

    这是一位医院的朋友亲身经历的故事----------
　　朱开封，男，25岁，河南鹿邑县枣集镇，朱台寺村人。其父从事杀猪5年，于10年前患胆囊癌病故。朱开封子承父业，20岁开始杀猪，每年平均杀猪500头，5年后出现眼睑及双下肢浮肿，血压升高达20０/１００毫米汞柱，血尿、尿闭，诊断为慢性肾衰、尿毒症。

  2006年5月13号，其母把自己的右肾捐给了朱开封，在我科进行肾脏移植术，手术后还要终生服药防止排异反应。

   在手术期间，我为她们母子二人讲解杀生的果报，并为他们全家讲解佛法。他们听了之后深刻认识到了这是杀生太多造成的。

  我送他们两人各自一个念佛机，手术前至手术后，全家老少都念佛求加持，表示从此不再杀生。

   现朱开封已经基本痊愈，母亲已经出院了。他妻子认真学习如何礼佛，其母学习如何供佛，还表示家中有一位80多岁的老奶奶。我教她全家好好念佛。
