A collection of famous sayings in Huayan Sutra: one flower, one world, one leaf, one Tathagata

The wisdom of Buddhism is as great as the sea. It is like the sun shining on the earth. It makes people open-minded and open-minded.

----Zhuge Changqing

The Chinese nation is a nation with a treasure of wisdom.

In the Chinese national wisdom garden, there are countless treasures.

The Confucian Shidaoye shines brightly in the hall, and the various schools of thought shine brilliantly.

Zhuge Changqing today recommends a pearl - Huayan Sutra.

There is great wisdom in Huayan Sutra. It is recommended that those who are destined to have a look at Huayan Sutra.

If you want to see the vernacular version, Zhuge Changqing recommends you to see the version of Huayan Sutra explained by the "Master Xuanhua". The Master Xuanhua explained it thoroughly and understood it at a glance.

In life, you may often read the following quips:

One flower, one world, one leaf, one Tathagata.

If you want to be the Buddha, the dragon and the elephant, you should be the cattle and horses of all living beings.

Do not seek peace and happiness for yourself, and hope that all living beings will be free from suffering.

All the evil deeds I have created in the past are caused by greed, anger and ignorance without beginning.

From the birth of body, language and meaning, I repent of everything today.

All sentient beings have the wisdom and virtue of the Tathagata, but they cannot be proved because of delusion and persistence.

......

Do you know where these sayings come from?

They all come from the Huayan Sutra.

Huayan Sutra, which is specifically named "Dafang Guangfo Huayan Sutra", is one of the important scriptures of Mahayana Buddhism.

The Huayan Sutra, which was announced by the great Bodhisattvas such as Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva under the Bodhi tree after Sakyamuni Buddha became a Taoist priest, records the Buddha's causes, actions and virtues, and reveals the wonderful purpose of endless and unimpeded.

In Buddhist culture, there is a story about the emergence of Huayan Sutra:

amitabha. The Huayan Sutra is the state of Buddha's enlightenment when he saw stars under the bodhi tree at night.

Later generations have recorded this state and called it "Dafang Guangfo Huayan Sutra", or "Huayan Sutra" for short.

The Huayan Sutra talks about the miraculous state of liberation presented at the moment when the Buddha became a Buddha, so the Huayan Sutra begins by saying: "At that time, the Blessed One was in the country of Mahathi, and in the field of Avaradha Bodhi, all dharma became the most positive consciousness, all wisdom and knowledge were equal in all three worlds, his body was full of all worlds, and his voice was universal in all lands, such as the emptiness with many images, and there was no difference in all realms."

As for the origin of the Huayan Sutra, Buddhism has a basically consistent saying. When the Prince Siddhartha of India (who became Sakyamuni Buddha after enlightenment) saw the stars under the bodhi tree at night, he was shocked to realize the Huayan state. This state is vast and mysterious. Our Saha world has insufficient human resources and cannot accept it, so the Buddha preached the Sutra to forty-one dharma masters.

One of the forty-one Dharma Bodhisattvas was the Dragon King (Great Dragon Bodhisattva), who later collected the Huayan Sutra and treasured it in the Dragon Palace.

The time of Buddha's activities was from the fifth century to the fourth century BC. In the second century AD, a Buddha named Longshu (Great Good Knowledge) appeared in South India. He was born in the Brahman caste. He was very intelligent and learned from childhood. He knew all kinds of skills in the world. Later, he became a Buddhist monk and quickly learned all the classics of the Great and the Great.

Just when he was preparing to establish his own sect, the Dragon King (Big Dragon Bodhisattva) appeared and invited him to read the Buddhist scriptures collected in the Dragon Palace.

The Dragon Tree Bodhisattva saw the Huayan Sutra in the Dragon Palace, thus realizing that Sakyamuni Buddha really has incomparable wisdom. At that time, we saw that there were three versions of the Huayan Sutra: the first version had thirteen thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand thousand. Neither of the two books above can be controlled by human mind, so he only took the next one hundred thousand verses of Huayan Sutra out of the Dragon Palace and spread it widely in the world. In fact, the scriptures that have been circulated are only a brief version of the next version. The most complete Tang translation we have seen is only 45000 verses.

This story tells us three parts:

The first is the collection of classics by the Dragon King (Great Dragon Bodhisattva);

The second is the collection of classics in the Dragon Palace;

The third is that the classics were invited by the Dragon Tree Bodhisattva to spread to the world.

The Great Dragon Bodhisattva represents all beings with great good roots. The Dragon Palace refers to the self-nature sea. The Dragon Tree invites the Huayan Sutra to show that we can develop our own Buddha nature from the self-nature sea. So the Dragon Tree actually refers to people with great good roots and constructive nature. People with great good roots collect Huayan Sutra and develop it from the sea of nature. This is the reason why we can see Huayan Sutra today.

There are many famous wisdom essence sentences in Huayan Sutra, which can make people suddenly enlightened.

Zhuge Changqing shared the essence of these famous sentences with those who were destined.

1. Buddha is born with five colored stems, one flower is one world, and one leaf is one Tathagata.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Many people are eulogizing "one flower, one world, one leaf, one Tathagata". The real source is the Huayan Sutra.

2. It is like a lotus without water, or like the sun and moon without space.

3. All sentient beings have the wisdom and virtue of the Tathagata, but it cannot be proved because of delusion and persistence.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. This is to remind people that in order to become a Buddha and open up wisdom, we must put down paranoia, obsession, greed, anger, ignorance, suspicion, murder, theft, drunkenness, hatred, anger, etc. Put your heart on the Buddha and Bodhisattva, and put it on the self-care, self-interest, self-awareness, and promotion of Dharma and life. You are now the Buddha and Bodhisattva realm.

amitabha. The reason why people are worried and painful is because they are obsessed with the love and wealth of the world of mortals, which leads to endless worries. As long as you put down your obsession, you will immediately leap.

4. If you want to be the Buddha, the dragon and the elephant, you should first be the cattle and horses of all living beings.

This sentence is a reminder that those who want to make a leap in practice should take the initiative to dedicate themselves to all sentient beings in the world of mortals and the ten dharma realms.

5. Do not seek peace and happiness for yourself, but hope that all living beings will be free from suffering.

6. All the evil deeds I have created in the past are caused by greed, anger and ignorance without beginning. From the birth of body, language and meaning, I repent of everything today.

7. For example, a lamp enters the darkroom; A hundred years of darkness can be broken. The same is true for Bodhisattva Mahatha Bodhi Heart Lamp; In the heart of all living beings, there are hundreds of billions of things that can't be said to be looted. All kinds of troubles and hidden obstacles can be eliminated.

8. If people want to know, all Buddhas in the third life. We should observe the nature of Dharma, and make everything by heart.

9. The heart is always silent and contented with little.

10. Enter Bodhi House with deep purification.

11. Ambition is like a mountain, and virtue is like the deep sea.

12. Observe mindfully and subdue your feelings.

13. Observe your mind with mindfulness and subdue your delusions.

14. Keep mindfulness and practice all good deeds.

15. It is often used as a lamp in the world.

16. In the world, the heart is like emptiness, without any stain.

17. The broken world yearns for the wisdom of Buddha, and the state of separation from desire is blissful.

18. All the good deeds are for all living beings, and we have learned to return with wisdom.

19. Stay away from all illusions, such as how to reach the other shore.

20. Don't get infected, cut off the greed and trouble in the world forever, and clean up and benefit all living beings.

21. Don't be polluted, don't be persistent, always cut off the greed and trouble in the world, and practice the clean way to benefit all living beings.

22. May all sentient beings face the Buddha with one heart, and often encounter the boundless and pure blessing field.

23. I should be like a loving mother to all living beings, and grow all good roots and great wishes.

I will treat all living beings like a loving mother, with all good roots and great wishes growing in my heart.

  第一是经典由龙王(大龙菩萨)结集;

  第二是经典收藏于龙宫;
