On the morning of April 21, 2015, the 9th National Congress of the Chinese Buddhist Association was successfully closed.

Subsequently, the newly elected Buddhist leaders of the three major language families of the new leadership of the Chinese Buddhist Association met with media reporters and answered their questions.

The press conference was hosted by the spokesman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Master Mingjie. The new president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Master Xuecheng, the vice president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Elder Hu Balong Zhuang Meng, and Zhukang Tudengkezhu Living Buddha attended the conference and answered the questions of the reporters. Journalists from more than 20 news media, including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily (including overseas edition), CCTV, China News Agency, attended the meeting.

The 9th National Congress of the Chinese Buddhist Association, which lasted for 3 days, closed in Beijing on April 21.

The meeting systematically summarized the work since the 8th National Congress of the China Buddhist Association, analyzed the current and future situation and tasks, studied and deployed the main work in the next five years, reviewed and adopted the work report of the 8th Council of the China Buddhist Association and the Constitution of the China Buddhist Association (Amendment), and adopted the Resolution of the 9th National Congress of the China Buddhist Association.

At the meeting, the living Buddha, Elder Yicheng and Elder Chuanyin were invited to be honorary presidents of the Chinese Buddhist Association, and the new leading bodies of the Chinese Buddhist Association, with Master Xuecheng as the president, were elected, including Jiamusing Luosanjumei Tudanchaginima (Tibetan), Hubalong Zhuangmeng (Dai), Panchen Erdeni Quejijebu (Tibetan), Shenghui, Daoci, Zhukang Tudengkezhu (Tibetan), Cimelin Tengchile (Tibetan) Thirty-two Dai (Dai) and Zewu, including Xiangen Badeng Duoji (Tibetan), Yongshou, Yongxin, Mingsheng, Awakening, Rurui (female), Zhanru, Miaojiang, Xincheng, Chunyi, Zhengci, Yinshun, Zengqin, Yanjue, Zongxing, Renqing Anjie (Tibetan), Zhikong Kuncang, Luosangqiangba (Tibetan), Zhao Jiujiu (Mongolian), Pufa, Jingbo, Hu Xuefeng (Mongolian), Minghai, Dongbao Zhongba (Tibetan), Zhao, were elected Vice President of the Chinese Buddhist Association. The meeting also elected a new council and standing council, and elected the chairman and vice-chairman of the Advisory Committee.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Master Zongxing, Vice President of the China Buddhist Association.

Dharma Master Xuecheng, President of the China Buddhist Association, and Deputy Director Jiang Jianyong of the State Administration of Religious Affairs delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. Vice President Zhengci of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Vice President Renqing Anjie, Vice President Zhao and other Dai Vice Presidents, and Vice President Rurui successively delivered speeches at the conference. Zhao Xueyi, Director of the Second Bureau of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, Pei Biao, Inspector of the First Department of the State Administration of Religious Affairs and other relevant department heads attended the closing ceremony.

In his speech, President Xuecheng pointed out that Chinese Buddhism and the value pursuit of the Chinese Dream are deeply compatible in many dimensions. Chinese Buddhism requires Buddhists to "repay the four blessings", that is, the parents, the sentient beings, the state and the three treasures. He pointed out that the proposal and practice of the concept of "human Buddhism" is the new development of Chinese Buddhism to adapt to the transformation of modern Chinese society. It is the crystallization of the will and wisdom of many great ancestors, as well as the efforts and practices of the four disciples of Buddhism. It is also the most vivid manifestation of the spirit of "solemn land, happiness and affection" of Buddhism. He called on the national Buddhist community to continue to promote the practice of "human Buddhism" and contribute ideological wisdom to improve the national cultural soft power and realize the Chinese Dream, adhering to the spirit of compassion, harmony and grandeur of Chinese Buddhism.

He put forward three prospects for the development of Chinese Buddhism in the new era:

1、 Chinese Buddhism in the new era should uphold the spirit of mercy and help the world, respond to the needs of the times, and make new development, new achievements and new contributions.

2、 Chinese Buddhism in the new era should inherit the fine tradition of patriotism and love religion, and contribute excellent cultural resources and unique ideological wisdom to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

3、 In the new era, Chinese Buddhism should enhance cultural self-consciousness and self-confidence, create conditions for Chinese Buddhism to go global, and contribute to the ideological wisdom of Chinese Buddhism to resolve global crises and solve global problems.

Jiang Jianyong, deputy director of the State Administration of Religious Affairs, said in his speech that the ninth national representative meeting of the China Buddhist Association is an important meeting held under the new situation in the Chinese Buddhist community, which fully reflects the great unity and unity of Chinese Buddhism, and fully demonstrates the good image and style of Chinese Buddhism. It is a united meeting, a successful meeting, a complete meeting, and a meeting that links the past and the future, and carries forward the future, It will have a significant and far-reaching impact on the healthy development of Chinese Buddhism in the future.

He pointed out that the members of the leading group of the new China Buddhist Association have added 7 vice presidents and 12 new members, including the Han, Tibetan, Mongolian, Dai and other four ethnic groups, on the basis of the previous one. The overall structure is more complete, more energetic and dynamic.

He put forward four suggestions for the future work of the China Buddhist Association:

First, we should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the meeting;

Second, we should give full play to the functions of the Chinese Buddhist Association;

Third, we should focus on the focus of work and do a good job in all aspects;

Fourth, we should continue to consolidate and develop the good situation of harmony, unity and stability in the Chinese Buddhist community. He hoped that the Chinese Buddhist Association would continue to hold high the banner of patriotism and love for religion, adhere to the path of adapting to the socialist society, and strive to practice the idea of "human Buddhism", and lead the Buddhist circles and religious believers across the country to work together to open a new journey for Chinese Buddhism and create a new situation for Chinese Buddhism.

        2015年4月21日上午，中国佛教协会第九次全国代表会议胜利闭幕。

   随后，新当选的中国佛教协会新一届领导班子三大语系佛教领袖与媒体记者见面并回答记者提问。

　　记者见面会由中国佛教协会新闻发言人明杰法师主持，中国佛教协会新任会长学诚法师、副会长祜巴龙庄勐长老、珠康·土登克珠活佛出席见面会，并回答记者有关提问。新华社、人民日报（含海外版）、中央电视台、中新社等20余家新闻媒体的记者参加了见面会。

   为期3天的中国佛教协会第九次全国代表会议4月21日在北京闭幕。

   会议系统总结了中国佛教协会第八次全国代表会议以来的工作，深入分析了当前和今后一个时期面临的形势和任务，研究部署了今后5年的主要工作，审议通过了中国佛教协会第八届理事会工作报告和《中国佛教协会章程(修订案)》，通过了《中国佛教协会第九次全国代表会议决议》。

   会议礼请帕巴拉·格列朗杰活佛、一诚长老、传印长老为中国佛教协会名誉会长，选举产生了以学诚法师为会长的中国佛教协会新一届领导机构，嘉木样·洛桑久美·图丹却吉尼玛(藏)、祜巴龙庄勐(傣)、班禅额尔德尼·确吉杰布(藏)、圣辉、道慈、珠康·土登克珠(藏)、策墨林·丹增赤列(藏)、香根·巴登多吉(藏)、永寿、永信、明生、觉醒、如瑞(女)、湛如、妙江、心澄、纯一、正慈、印顺、增勤、演觉、宗性、仁青安杰(藏)、直孔穷仓·洛桑强巴(藏)、赵九九(蒙)、普法、静波、胡雪峰(蒙)、明海、东宝仲巴(藏)、诏等傣(傣)、则悟等32人当选中国佛教协会副会长。会议还选举产生了新一届理事会、常务理事会，推举了咨议委员会主席、副主席。

   闭幕式由中国佛教协会副会长宗性法师主持。

   中国佛教协会会长学诚法师、国家宗教事务局蒋坚永副局长在闭幕式上讲话。中国佛教协会正慈副会长、仁青安杰副会长、诏等傣副会长、如瑞副会长先后作大会发言。中央统战部二局赵学义局长、国家宗教事务局一司裴飚巡视员等有关部门负责人出席闭幕式。

   学诚会长在讲话中指出，中国佛教与中国梦的价值追求在众多的维度存在着深度契合。中国佛教要求佛教徒"报四重恩"，即父母恩、众生恩、国家恩、三宝恩。他指出，"人间佛教"理念的提出与实践，是中国佛教适应近代中国社会的转型而做出的新发展，是众多祖师大德的愿力与智慧，以及佛教四众弟子的努力与践行的结晶，也是佛教"庄严国土、利乐有情"精神最生动的体现。他号召全国佛教界秉承中国佛教慈悲、圆融、宏博的精神主旨，继续推进"人间佛教"的实践，为提高国家文化软实力、为实现中国梦贡献思想智慧。

   他对新时期的中国佛教发展提出了三点展望:

   一、新时期的中国佛教应秉承慈悲济世的精神，因应时代的需要，做出新的发展、新的建树和新的贡献。

   二、新时期的中国佛教应继承爱国爱教的优良传统，为实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦贡献优秀的文化资源和独特的思想智慧。

   三、新时期的中国佛教应增强文化自觉自信，创造条件让中国佛教走向世界，为化解世界性危机、解决全球性问题贡献中国佛教的思想智慧。

   国家宗教事务局蒋坚永副局长在讲话中说，中国佛教协会第九次全国代表会议是中国佛教界新形势下召开的一次重要会议，充分体现了中国佛教的大联合、大团结，充分展示了中国佛教的良好形象和风貌，是一次团结的大会、胜利的大会、圆满的大会，也是一次承前启后、继往开来的大会，必将对中国佛教未来健康发展产生重大而深远的影响。

   他指出，新一届中国佛教协会领导班子成员在上一届的基础上增加了7位副会长，新进12人，包括汉族、藏族、蒙古族、傣族等4个民族，整体结构更加完善，更加富有朝气和活力。

   他对中国佛教协会今后的工作提出四点建议:

   一要深入学习贯彻会议精神;

   二要更加有效地发挥中国佛教协会的职能作用;

   三要围绕工作重点，统筹做好各项工作;

   四要继续巩固和发展中国佛教界和谐、团结、稳定的良好局面。他希望，中国佛教协会继续高举爱国爱教旗帜，坚持不移地走与社会主义社会相适应的道路，努力践行"人间佛教"思想，带领全国佛教界人士和广大信教群众，凝心聚力，同愿同行，共同开启中国佛教新征程，开创中国佛教新局面。
