The Vajra Sutra released by Sakyamuni Buddha contains the great wisdom of Buddhism.
The Vajra Sutra is the beacon of practice.
At that time, Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor, said, "You should have no place to live and you should have your heart.".
According to the Sixth Ancestor Tanjing, Master Huineng's enlightenment originated from a guest reading the Diamond Sutra. When he heard one of the words, "You should have no place to live and live in your heart", he became enlightened.
The original text reads as follows: At that time, a customer bought firewood and sent the order to the inn. The customer took it and got money, but went out to see a customer chanting sutras. When you can hear the scripture saying, "You should have no place to live and have your heart", your heart will be enlightened. So he asked the guest what sutras he recited? The guest said: The Diamond Sutra.
So, what basic wisdom should Vajra Sutra learn from Buddhist practitioners?
Master Tanxu made a statement about this.
Zhuge Changqing shared Master Tanxu's overall interpretation of the Diamond Sutra:
Master Tanxu proposed that we should pay attention to four words when reading the Vajra Sutra:
1. Departure - achieving liberation and eliminating all karma
2. No living ---- achieving Prajna and breaking all doubts
3. Impossible ---- to achieve Dharma body and get rid of all hardships
4. Breaking the three hearts and removing the four phases - the key to heart development
Master Tanxu: Among the Buddhist sutras, the Prajna Department is the largest.
The Buddha said the Prajna Sutra. In the forty-nine years of saying it, the Buddha spent twenty-two years talking about Prajna. Therefore, Prajna is the center of the whole Buddhism. The Buddha said Prajna. There were 16 sessions before and after. The Chinese version of the Great Buddha Sutra has 600 volumes. It is said that there are as many as 1000 volumes in Tibetan.
It can be seen from this that it is quite difficult to read and recite such a large number of classics, not to mention to receive speeches. Therefore, the Blessed One specially announced the Vajra Prajna Paramita Sutra at the ninth session of the Bodhisattva, which has seven versions before and after China, and the most widely circulated version is that of Master Kumarashi.
Master Rush turned it into a volume, and added a short paragraph of Wei's translation. It was only 5837 words in total. Not only the essence and purpose of Prajna are contained in this sutra, but we can say that the whole Dharma is in our own hands when we get this volume.
This sutra is really a few words (few words), and contains unlimited meaning. Every word and sentence contains unlimited meaning. In the Tang Dynasty, the fifth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, Monk Ren, and the sixth ancestor, Master Huineng, strongly advocated it. Therefore, the Vajra Sutra has long been a household name in China, and it has never been circulated. In modern words, the most famous Buddhist scripture is the Vajra Sutra. Many people do not know the Amitabha Sutra, but no one does not know the Vajra Sutra, which is advocated by Goodall. From this place, we can also see that because of the wide circulation of the classics and the large number of people who read them, it is an inevitable fact that the people of our country have been blessed by the Buddha.
So what does the Diamond Sutra say?
The purport of the Vajra Sutra that Dharma Master Tanxu said was simple and clear.
1. Departure - achieving liberation and eliminating all karma
We talk about eliminating karma every day. How can we eliminate karma? The karma can only be eliminated without appearance. How can the karma be eliminated with appearance? It is said according to the teachings of the Vajra Sutra.
2. No living ---- achieving Prajna and breaking all doubts
Puzzlement is confusion, and the key to breaking the mystery and enlightenment is no living. The Vajra Sutra says, "You should have no place to live and live in your heart", "You should have no place to live and do charity". There are many sentences like this in this book.
3. Impossible ---- to achieve Dharma body and get rid of all hardships
All dharma aspects are born by reason. The body is empty. Prajna says that the nature is empty and cannot be obtained. This is how to "achieve dharma body and get rid of all sufferings". The Prajna Heart Sutra says, "Go through all hardships". When it is impossible, all laws will be put down and will not persist. The purpose of this sutra is to eliminate karma, overcome confusion and relieve suffering.
4. Breaking the three hearts and removing the four phases - the key to heart development
This article is really very thorough. All ordinary people think that I can persist, I can persist, or I can get something. All ordinary people are worried about gains and losses. Who got it? I can get it. What is me? Most people think that I am the body, and the wiser people know that this body is not me. What is me? I am the one who can think, imagine and feel pain and happiness. My heart is me! Western philosophers said: I think so I am. What is me? I am the one who can think and imagine. I can think, I can think, I can think, I can think. Buddha said in this sutra, OK! I can think and think.
"The past heart can't be obtained, the present heart can't be obtained, and the future heart can't be obtained." I don't have the heart that can be persistent, the heart that can be persistent, and the heart that can be acquired. What else do you have? Three hearts cannot be obtained. This is to eliminate karma and doubts fundamentally, not from branches and leaves. What's your delusion? Delusions are not obtainable.
What do you get? What you get is nothing more than four phases--
My face, human face, sentient beings face, longevity face.
"My face and human face", my face and human face are based on "relative falsehood".
"All living beings" means all things and all things. All things and all things are the combination of all things. So you should know that this sentient beings does not refer to the vast majority of sentient beings and people. If this is not the case, you are wrong. What we call animals, plants and minerals today, including all natural phenomena, are all sentient beings. Rain and wind are all forms of all living beings, and they are all the combination of all human beings.
"Longevity is related to life". Longevity is related to time. They are all false. We are relatively false. All living beings are predestined and united, and those who live long are mutually extended. The things you cling to are fake, and the heart you can cling to is fake. What else do you have? What persistence is there? What else can't be put down? If you understand all these facts and facts, and put everything down in your mind and body, you will feel at ease immediately; In other words, your sincerity is present, and your delusion is gone. You can fully understand that it is false and impossible.
All sentient beings are strong and persistent, unwilling to let go. They do not know that the heart that can persist is false, and the things they cling to are also false. So the Buddha and Bodhisattva look at all living beings in their eyes as pitiful people. Why pity? False, all false. If it is true, if it is true, Buddha cannot say that all living beings are pitiful. Because it is false, how to fight delusions and how to persist are all empty. It is not to say that after death, there is empty. This persistence is a bad thing, and now there is no amount of trouble, and it is unbearable. In the future, there will be six ways of reincarnation, and there will never be an end to it. The Vajra Sutra helps us to understand the truth, and teaches us to completely put down and restore our self-nature, which is true. Zen Buddhism says that "parents are what they were before they were born". The benefits of the Diamond Sutra are here.
"Breaking is showing", breaking delusions is really showing. Breaking the delusion and showing the truth "is at the same time and at the same time". There is no order. First break the delusion and then show the truth. No, it is at the same time. If you divide one point in vain, you will show one point; If you divide two points in vain, you will show two points. The reason can be understood immediately; Things should be gradually removed. If you remove one point from things, your pure heart and your wisdom of prajna will be completely removed. How to do it? I really need to put it down and stop clinging! We must follow the classic lessons and work hard. This is to report the outline of this sutra to you. After the outline is captured, it will not be difficult to understand the text.

阿弥陀佛。
佛祖释迦牟尼佛开示的《金刚经》包含了佛家大智慧。
金刚经,是修行的指路明灯。
当年六祖慧能大师,因为一句“应无所住而生其心”。
《六祖坛经》记载,慧能大师的开悟是起源于一个客人正在读《金刚经》。他听闻其中的一句“应无所住而生其心”,便开悟。
原文是这样写到:时,有一客买柴,使令送至客店,客收去,能得钱,却出门外,见一客诵经。能一闻经云“应无所住而生其心”,心即开悟。遂问客诵何经?客曰:《金刚经》。
那么,金刚经对于学佛修行者来说,要汲取那些基本智慧呢?
倓虚大师对此作了开示。
诸葛长青分享倓虚大师对金刚经进行了总体阐释:
倓虚大师提出读金刚经要注意四句话:
1.离相----成就解脱,消诸业
2.无住----成就般若,破诸惑
3.无法----成就法身,脱诸苦
4.破三心,除四相----为发心之要务
倓虚大师:在佛经之中,部头最大的就是般若部。
佛说《般若经》,在说法四十九年之中,世尊用了二十二年的时间来讲般若。由此可知,般若是整个佛法的中心。佛说般若,前后一共有十六会,中文译本《大般若经》有六百卷,听说西藏文中有千卷之多。
由此可知,这样大部的经典,读诵已经相当困难,何况受持演说。正因此,世尊特别在第九会由博而约,特别宣说《金刚般若波罗蜜经》,这一部经在中国前后有七种译本,流通最广的就是鸠摩罗什大师的译本。
罗什大师把它翻成一卷,又加上魏译一小段,总共只有五千八百三十七个字。不但般若的精华、般若的宗旨尽在此经之中,我们得到这一卷,可以说整个的佛法都在自己掌握之中。
本经确确实实是少文(文字很少),而含无量义,字字句句都含无量义。唐朝时候,禅宗五祖忍和尚、六祖惠能大师,极力的提倡,所以《金刚经》在中国,早已是家喻户晓,流通不绝,无过此经。要用现代话来讲,佛经里面知名度最高的无过于《金刚经》。有很多人不知道《阿弥陀经》,但是没有人不知道《金刚经》,这是古德的提倡。由这个地方我们也能看到,由于经典流通得广,读诵的人多,这是我们国家的国民得佛护念加持,这也是必然的事实。
那么《金刚经》说什么呢?
倓虚法师所讲的《金刚经》旨趣,他讲得简单明了。
1.离相----成就解脱,消诸业
我们天天讲消业障,业障怎么消?不着相才能消业障,着相那业障怎么能消得了?都是根据《金刚经》教义所说的。
2.无住----成就般若,破诸惑
惑是迷惑,破迷开悟的诀窍是无住。《金刚经》上讲:「应无所住,而生其心」,「应无所住,而行布施」。像这样的句子在本经很多。
3.无法----成就法身,脱诸苦
所有一切法相,都是因缘所生,当体即空,般若里讲缘起性空,了不可得,这才能「成就法身,脱诸苦」。《般若心经》里面讲,「度一切苦厄」。到无法的时候,一切法都放下,都不执着了。消业、破惑、脱苦,这是本经的旨趣。
4.破三心,除四相----为发心之要务
这一条讲得真的是非常究竟彻底。凡夫莫不以为我能执着、我能执,或者说得粗显一点的,我能得,凡夫都患得患失。谁得到了?我能得。什么是我?一般人认为身是我,聪明一点的人知道这身不是我。什么是我?能够思惟、能够想象、能够感受苦乐的,这个是我,心是我!西洋哲学家讲:我思故我在。什么是我?能够思惟、想象的,那个是我。我能思、我能想,能想、能思惟的那个就是我。佛在本经上说,好!能思、能想的是我。
「过去心不可得,现在心不可得,未来心不可得。」能执着的我没有了,能执着的、能得的心没有了,你还得个什么?三心不可得。这是从根本上消业断惑,不是从枝叶上。你打个什么妄想?妄想不可得。
你所得的是什么?所得的不外乎四相--
我相、人相、众生相、寿者相。
「我相、人相」,我相、人相是从「相对假立」的。
「众生相」,这个众生就是一切万事万物,万事万物都是众缘和合而现的相。所以诸位要晓得,这个众生不是指广大的众生、广大的人,不是这个,那你就把意思讲错了。我们今天所谓动物、植物、矿物,再包括所有一切自然现象,都是众生相。下雨、刮风都是众生相,都是众缘和合,「由缘和合假立」,称为众生相。
「寿者相」,寿者是时间相续,「由相续假而立」。都是假的,我人是相对假,众生是缘和合假,寿者是相续假。你所执着的这些物是假的,你能执着的心是假的,你还有什么搞头?还有什么执着?还有什么放不下的?如果把这些事实真相,统统都搞明白了,身心世界一切放下了,你心里头马上就得大自在;换句话说,你的真心就现前,妄心没有了,彻底了解它是虚妄、不可得。
众生就是坚固的执着,不肯放下,不晓得能执着的心是假的,所执着的这些物相也是假的。所以佛菩萨眼睛里看芸芸众生是可怜悯者。为什么可悯怜?假的、全是假的,如果是真的,真有这个事,佛不能够说众生是可怜悯者。因为它是假的,怎么样打妄想、怎么样执着都是一场空,不是说到死了以后一场空,现前就是一场空,当下即空。这一执着坏了事,现前无量的烦恼,苦不堪言,将来轮回六道,永远没有出头的日子。《金刚经》帮助我们明了事实真相,教给我们彻底放下,恢复自性,自性就是真心,禅家讲的「父母未生前本来面目」。《金刚经》的好处在此地。
「破处即是显处」,破妄,真就显了。破妄显真「是同时,是一时」,不是有先后的,先破妄然后再显真,不是的,是同时的。妄除一分,真就显一分;妄除二分,真就显二分。理可以顿悟,一下就明白了;事要渐渐的除,事上除一分,你的清净心、你的般若智慧就透一分。事上怎么做?事上真的要放下,不要再执着!一定要依照经典的教训,认真努力去做。这是把本经纲要给诸位报告出来,纲要抓到之后,经文就不难领会。
