Venerable Master Xuanhua: Those who learn Buddhism and practice should learn patience

amitabha. Cultivation requires not only confidence but also patience. Learn to be patient.

-----Zhuge Changqing

amitabha.

Life is a journey.

Do you often get angry during this journey?

Do you often get angry?

Are you so angry that you don't eat for three days?

Do you throw things and swear in anger?

amitabha. Learn to be patient.

In countless days and nights, Zhuge Changqing read through ancient and modern history, and realized that all success comes from silent patience, and grows wisdom and fortune through patience:

In Journey to the West, Tang Monk's patience, Sun Wukong's patience, Zhu Bajie's patience, Tang Monk's patience, White Dragon Horse's patience Only then did he finally obtain the Buddhist scriptures.

Look at Sakyamuni Buddha, Laozi, Confucius All are big.

Look at King Wen of Zhou, Jiang Taigong, Mencius, Zhuge Liang, Zhu Yuanzhang, Li Shimin, Zeng Guofan, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai Which one is not modest?

Look at the ore, which is made of steel in the high temperature of the flame and is soft around the fingers

Look at the water, which is hated by all people, flows quietly to the bottom, and finally flows back to the sea for thousands of years

You should also learn patience on the way to practice.

What is practice?

Zhuge Changqing believes that practice is the way to correct your mistakes, stop evil and do good, and cultivate both wisdom and happiness, so as to achieve enlightenment and great wisdom.

In daily practice, if you feel that you are slow, often troubled, and often paranoid, you can try to use Zhuge Changqing's "Five in One" to improve.

Zhuge Changqing's "Five in One" (repentance, almsgiving, release, chanting, vegetarian) is a "fast practice and fortune change" method that has been summarized repeatedly by Zhuge Changqing through years of practice and meditation epiphany. It can play a role of getting twice the result with half the effort and let everyone take many detours less.

On the way to practice, you should not only have confidence, but also have patience.

We should endure the opposition of our family, the misunderstanding of others, and the loneliness of the long night.

Be patient with the praise of others, the joy of practice, and the test of blessings

When others play, you should be diligent; When others are idle, you should read; When others eat, drink and play, you have to make up your mind to make a leap.

amitabha. It is really a test of your strong Tao spirit everywhere. Practice should be strengthened at all times.

A generation of eminent monk Xuanhua Venerable Monk reminded people to learn patience in practice.

Share the teachings of the Venerable Master Xuanhua with the predestined:

A man of practice can endure scolding and beating, cold and heat, wind and rain, hunger and thirst. That is true practice.

Sakyamuni Buddha, in the past, when he was practicing his blessings and wisdom, passed through three great monks (infinite number), and then became enlightened. The so-called "don't do it for the sake of small good, and don't do it for the sake of small evil."

When Sakyamuni Buddha was practicing Bodhisattva, he did not give up his kindness as thin as his hair; Don't do evil as small as dust. Therefore, Fu and Hui have completed their merit and virtue, and become bipedal.

Although good is small, a little makes a lot. If you gather sand into a tower, you will become a great good.

Although evil is small, it accumulates over time and becomes great evil. It flows with the industry and is always a hindrance.

Practice is "to refrain from all evils and all good deeds." If we can refrain from all evils, the rewards will increase day by day. If all good deeds can be practiced, wisdom will increase day by day. If you practice without time, you will become the Holy Way.

To do good deeds and accumulate virtue, to do good deeds, to form good karma, to chant sutras and chant Buddha, to open up wisdom, and to meditate, is to cultivate blessings and wisdom.

How to cultivate happiness? It means "not doing all kinds of evil".

How to cultivate wisdom? It is "all good deeds".

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. The enlightenment of Venerable Master Xuanhua is very important to let people know what is the cultivation of both wisdom and happiness.

In this case, the blessing is also complete, and the wisdom is also complete, and then the Buddha and Taoism will soon be achieved.

There is no need to go through the three monks.

In the past, Sakyamuni Buddha went through many wrong paths in his practice, but he was very patient and did not lose heart. He continued to work hard, practiced discipline and wisdom, put an end to greed, anger and delusion, and finally reached the Buddha's goal. We are more fortunate than Sakyamuni Buddha in practicing Buddhism. He left us the right path. As long as we move forward according to the goal, we will soon reach our destination - the Pure Land on the other side.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. We are grateful to Sakyamuni Buddha, who has personally practiced all kinds of cultivation methods, and then studied and created the cultivation methods suitable for us. Thank Buddha Sakyamuni.

When Sakyamuni Buddha was a "Chang Bu Light Bodhisattva" in his previous life, he practiced a kind of suffering of patience.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. In that year, Sakyamuni Buddha personally tested the method of patience. It left us valuable spiritual wealth of patience and practice.

At that time, Sakyamuni Buddha saluted the Buddha who always despised the Bodhisattva. He also said, "I dare not despise you. You are all Buddhas."

Some people hate his behavior, so he kowtow to others, but also suffer from scolding or beating.

Once, when he practiced the Bodhisattva Way and kowtowed to others, he was kicked off two front teeth, but he did not lose heart. He continued to kowtow. This time, I learned that when I saw someone coming, I would kowtow first in the distance, and said, "I dare not despise you, you are all Buddhas." After kowtowing, I said, and left in real time. I can't catch up with him if I want to hit him.

Always do not despise Bodhisattva, and practice blessings and wisdom in the spirit of "no self".

Who taught him to practice like this? No one taught him to practice kowtow like this, but he was willing to practice like this. Being beaten and scolded does not produce anger. This is the way to practice tolerance and humiliation.

The most important method for a man of practice is patience.

When encountering an unpleasant situation, you should bear to let it go and stand aloof from the world. If you can't bear it, you can lose your temper at any time and burn all your hard work.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Patience is the basis of achieving cultivation. Venerable Master Xuanhua reminds us to constantly reflect on ourselves, whether we have achieved patience? Is it easy to get angry?

We ask ourselves, is there such endurance? If you kowtow to others, you will be beaten and not angry.

If you can do it, you are Buddha disciples. If you can't do it, hurry to take care of your body and mind and move forward. Otherwise, we will waste our time and get nothing.

Practitioners can tolerate cold and heat, wind and rain, hunger and thirst, and scolding and beating. Learning the spirit of Bodhisattva is not light. No matter who is bad to me, he will not be angry or resentful. He will treat others with sincerity, which will naturally be influenced and turned into friendship.

A man of practice is a man of selflessness. If there is no ego, everything can be tolerated, and the state will come, and will not be moved. I think of myself as void.

When prosperity comes, it is also practice; When adversity comes, it is also practice.

In other words, when prosperity comes, there is no joy; When adversity comes, there is no sorrow.

Know clearly whether it is good or bad. If you can stay still, you will not be turned by the state. If you can change your mind, you can change it.

When Sakyamuni Buddha practiced in the past, he specialized in the method of enduring humiliation, so he was called "the immortal of enduring humiliation".

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Why did Sakyamuni Buddha specialize in the humiliation method? It is to leave us valuable spiritual wealth today, omit us to waste time and explore experience. Thank Buddha Sakyamuni. We should learn to endure in life. Patience is a basic accomplishment and quality.

One day, King Goli cut off his limbs for no reason, but instead of being angry and hateful, he pitied the ignorance of King Goli. So he said to King Goli, "When I become a Buddha, I will be the first to teach you." King Goli heard it, and he became a repentant and converted to a humiliating immortal. Later, he was Kausachen Buddha (one of the five monks).

The Buddha said the Four Truths Dharma and the Three Wheel of Dharma for the five of them, all of which confirmed the Luohanguo position.

Sakyamuni Buddha is the ancestor of our Buddhism. His humiliating kung fu has been practiced to the extreme. We can't be angry. We are all disciples of Buddha. We should learn from our master Sakyamuni Buddha's "patience" kung fu. In short, patience is the most important part of practicing Dharma and cannot be ignored. The ancients said to endure the wind and the waves for a while, and take a step back. " So I said, "Tolerance is priceless." Who broke the Holy City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, I will not persist. It doesn't matter. I will never be angry. Everyone thinks so, and the world is at peace.

Patience is indispensable to a man of practice. Only with endurance can we practice; There is no patience, nothing to talk about.

The truth we are talking about today is very ordinary and insipid. But this is the true method, the positive method, the subtle method and the rare method. Although it is common, Tao is born out of the ordinary, and Tao comes out with people's feet. This kind of inaction is the law of millions of calamities, which should not be missed face to face. If you turn a deaf ear to the wind and don't stay, you will regret it later.

What I said to you today will take time. No matter what realm comes, it will not cause trouble. If we can use wisdom to judge this state, no matter what, we can solve it without any trouble.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Patience is the foundation of spiritual achievements

The master of Xuanhua was a native of Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang Province, with a common surname of Bai and a father of Fuhai Gong. He worked hard and frugally all his life. Mrs. Muhutai, who had been practicing Buddhism for decades, never stopped doing charity, always responded to whatever she asked, and believed that "the best is to do good". The villagers praised it and called it "Living Bodhisattva". The Venerable Master is the ninth generation founder of Weiyang Sect of Zen.

The Venerable Master Xuanhua is the ninth generation founder of Weiyang Sect of Zen, and the surname of Shuangcheng people in Heilongjiang Province. When the Venerable Monk approached Xu Lao at Nanhua Temple, he was valued by the old monk and appointed a special position. In order to continue the wise life of Buddha, the Venerable Master came to the United States from Hong Kong, and strongly advocated the three practices of Zen Buddhism, breaking the conventional wisdom, and urging disciples to sit in meditation every day, chant Buddha every day, and study the classics every day.
