There are many benefits of releasing life, such as making people rich and lucky, recovering from diseases, family harmony, expanding financial resources, promoting cultivation, and so on.

Why are there many benefits of releasing animals?

Zhuge Changqing believed that the release of life was in line with the principle of harmony between heaven and earth. The release of life accords with the three major merits of giving, namely, legal giving, financial giving and fearless giving.

In line with the harmony of heaven and earth, you will be rich and lucky.

Conforming to the principle of giving is the basis of practicing Bodhisattva and becoming Buddha.

To give is to use your wisdom, money and physical strength to benefit the society.

Zhuge Changqing believes that people can do good regardless of whether they have money or not.

The rich can buy more fish, birds, snakes, turtles, insects and so on.

Those without money can give more food, praise others, do volunteer work, volunteer blood, help others, etc.

If you have a certain income, you might as well set it free.

Buy fish, buy birds and so on. When you see them return to the water and fly to the sky, you will feel free and happy. You will instantly integrate with heaven and earth, and you will have unlimited blessings and fruits.

The twentieth of the forty-eight light precepts listed in the Vatican Sutra is "Do not release the saving precepts"; "If the Buddha is merciful, he will release his life", "so he will always release his life, live and live". That is to say, the Buddha should practice the act of releasing life with compassion, because all men are my father, all women are my mother, and I will be born from that in all my life, so the six sentient beings know that they are my parents; If people kill animals, they should be able to rescue them and relieve their suffering.

As for the method of releasing and rescuing life, there are many records in various sutras. For example, the "Golden Light Sutra • The Son of the Eldest Water" said that the son of the Eldest Water saved the dying fish and gave them water and food to explain the Mahayana sutra. After hearing the sutra, all the fish were born into Trayana. The fifth volume of the Miscellaneous Treasure Sutra also said that a shaman had a long life due to saving the ants in the floating water. This view that releasing life can increase life and prolong life still has great influence.

Recently, the predestined person "The light of the Buddha shines on the universe", who studies Buddhism, took some photos of the release and sent them to Zhuge Changqing.

  放生，福报巨大，功德巨大。

  放生好处很多，可以使人富贵吉祥、疾病康复、家庭和谐、财源广进、促进修行等等。

  为何放生好处多呢？

  诸葛长青认为，因为放生符合天地和谐之道。放生符合法布施、财布施、无畏布施三大布施功德。

  符合天地和谐之道，就会富贵吉祥。

   符合布施之道，是行菩萨道、成佛的基础。

  布施，就是拿出自己的智慧、钱财、体力等造福社会。

  诸葛长青认为，不论有钱无钱都可以做善事。

  有钱的可以多买鱼类、鸟、蛇、乌龟、昆虫等放生。

  无钱的可以多施食、赞美他人、做义工、义务献血、帮助他人等。

  如果有一定的收入，不妨多放生。

  买鱼、买鸟等放生，看到他们回到水中、飞到天上，那种自由自在的开心，自己瞬间就和天地融为一体，就具备无量福报、果报。

  《梵网经》所列四十八种轻戒中第二十“不行放救戒”；“若佛子以慈心故，行放生业”，“故常行放生，生生受生常住之法”。即佛子应以慈心行放生之业，因一切男子是我父，一切女子是我母，我生生世世皆由彼受生，故六道众生悉是我父母；若见世人杀畜生时，应方便救护，解其苦难。

  关于放生救护之法，诸经多有记载，如《金光明经•流水长者子品》称，流水长者子救起濒死之鱼，与之水、食，为其解说大乘经典，诸鱼闻经后，皆生忉利天。又《杂宝藏经》卷五说，一沙弥因救起漂流水中之诸蚁子，而得长命之果报，这种放生能增寿延年的观点至今仍有很大影响。

  最近，学佛放生有缘者“佛光照乾坤”拍了一些放生的照片发给诸葛长青老师。

  这些照片，体现了鱼儿入水、鸟儿上天的那种和谐的瞬间。
