   据西点军校招生官员介绍，西点招生对象必须是年龄为17－22岁的未婚高中毕业生或具有同等学历的士兵，身高1.68---1.98米，经政府高官（如副总统或国会议员或陆军部高官）推荐、考试和体检后择优录取。考试范围包括学业能力倾向测验、体育等。西点的学制为四年，课程分为文科、理科、工程、军事科学和体育等，每年暑期（6－8月）进行野外军训。但西点军校副教务长肯·格瑞斯博士补充说，“9·11”恐怖袭击事件发生后，学校适时增设和调整了部分专业和课程，其中包括反恐怖主义、网络恐怖主义、冲突解决、信息保障、国际法、法律制度比较、国际安全研究、核工程和化学工程等，同时引进了有关国际法和伊斯兰法律方面的专家和南亚问题专家。
　　西点军校从1976年开始招收女学员，现在整个学员队的人数为4000名，每年的7月1日约有1200名新学员入学。学员在校的主要制服颜色为灰色，这是早在1816年就确定了的，因此，学员队又有“灰色长队”之称。学员毕业后被授予理科学士和陆军少尉军衔，一般至少需服现役5年。

   1、公开招考合格人才，是西点办学的原则之一。

   该校每年招生约1400人。凡报考该校的青年，必须是美国公民（除盟军学员外），年龄在17～22岁，身高1．68～1．98米，不论种族、肤色、宗教信仰和性别。

   诸葛长青认为，你的企业也要制定自己的招聘标准。

   但事实上，西点长期坚持收录男性公民，自1976年7月初起，按总统法令规定，才开始招收女学员。首批为119名，90年代已增至800余人，占学员总数的1／6。报考学员必须在高中学习成绩名列本班前茅，身体健康，具有一定的组织领导才能，在参加考试的前一年还必须得到美国总统、副总统、参议员、众议员、州长、市长或部队主管的推荐。获得正式报考资格的青年，还必须参加并通过国家统一组织的大学入学考试。然后，各军种学员入学资格评审委员会从德、智、体等方面全面衡量，择优录取。
　　被录取者首先应具有强健的体质，能参加有关项目的体育比赛。经过西点教育，学员应达到大学的学历水平。学员应有所专长和业余爱好。西点军校学员自入校之日起，就要进行严格的检验与筛选，实行优化与淘汰制。这一切是从1843年起就由国会以法律的形式明确下来的，从而保证了学员的高质量。
　　 2、严格的淘汰机制。

    诸葛长青认为，淘汰机制是一种无形的压力，让每位学员自觉做的更好。适当的优胜劣汰，是保持西点军校健康成长的根本。

    每个学员在考入西点前都要做好被淘汰的思想准备和相应的保证。其父母也应充分保证做好工作，不留后患。实际上，第一学年新生淘汰率为23％，最终能学完四年毕业的学员占入学总人数的70％左右。

   诸葛长青认为，严格的淘汰机制，使得每一个西点军校学生都必须全力以赴。

   从录取到毕业，学校的管理就是法制化的，铁面无私。1802年3月16日，美国第三任总统、当年《独立宣言》的主要起草人——托马斯·杰弗逊签署国会法令，宣告在西点成立“联邦西点陆军军官学校”。

    四、西点军校推行严格的军训:打造不失败的团队

    诸葛长青：加强纪律性，革命无不胜，只有严格的军训，才能打造一流团队。培训呢，要把你企业的文化、产品特点、团队要求、工作技巧、制度纪律等一一传授给你的团队。你的团队，经过严格的培训了吗？好团队要经过精心培训。

　  1、西点的校训是“国家、荣誉、责任”，西点军校培养的是不仅是一名军人，而是美国社会的精英，这是在它的办学过程中最为引人注目的地方。西点军校之所以充满活力、永葆青春，经久不衰，始终受到世人的关注，一个根本的原因就是它坚持了内部机制的改革。

   在战场上，“决定性”的动力是“相信自己的赢家力量”。因此，第30任校长麦克阿瑟认为：军校教育“应着眼于不断变化的世界，着眼于复杂的未来，着眼于军事技术的不断现代化”。后人在评价他的改革时说：是他把传统的西点军校带进了现代化的20世纪。他所培养的现代化高材生们，大多成为第二次世界大战的美军领导群体。但无论西点怎样发展，西点人的都会铭记他们的校训：国家、荣誉、责任，这实际上是西点的精神，也是美国的国训。

   2、因为西点的学生们深知：在兽营中，你只有保持警觉的头脑，灵敏的反应，你才能坚持下来，这实际上又成了美国军队改革的“芯”动力。

   进入西点军校的最初6个星期，罗森博格进入了“野兽营”，那里的训练，让她至今难以忘记。每天，她要和同伴背着10多公斤重的背包在烈日下跑步，跑得大汗淋漓，虚脱了也没人管。

   而且，刚开始罗森博格跑不快，总赶不上队伍，遭带队的高年级士官训斥是家常便饭。

   今天的美军，大多数将校军官出自西点，其精神力量也来自西点，这个精神就是他们在拥有最强大军事力量的同时，仍然保持着精神上的危机感和挣扎感。那个美国名人的名言就是：挣扎，挣扎，再挣扎，而美国军队今天的发展正是：强大，强大，更强大。 2010年5月22日，碧空如洗。1002名2010届西点军校毕业生穿着笔挺的军装站在草坪上，聆听三军总司令、美国总统奥巴马的演讲。他们的金色袖扣在耀眼的阳光下熠熠生辉。“士官生们，一条漫长而艰巨的道路在等待你们。”奥巴马说。

    在讲话中，奥巴马笑着宣布，今年获得西点毕业生最高荣誉的两名士官生都是女生，“这在西点历史上还是第一次，反映了女性在军中不可忽视的作用。”

    罗森博格与贝特培德先后走上台，她们嘴角挂着浅浅的微笑，从奥巴马手里接过了毕业文凭。这张沉甸甸的证书，承载着两人4年西点生活，写满了两人的快乐和痛苦。

    3、加入一支“不许失败”的队伍。诸葛长青认为，你要让你的员工自觉把自己摆到一个高层次的位置，不要只为了钱，要追求更高精神动力。

    来自纽约的罗森博格今年22岁。2006年，她以优异的成绩从中学毕业，进入了西点军校。对这位刚从中学校门走出的学生来说，西点的一切是那么的新鲜，不过，令她记忆犹新的还是军校的“格言”：一年级必须学会服从，三、四年级必须学会领导。

    “服从”意味着无条件的付出。虽然早做好了吃苦的准备，但罗森博格还是有点吃不消。

     4、吃饭也是挑战。诸葛长青认为，西点军校，做到了从细节入手，时时刻刻培养一流的团队精神。用餐时，她只能坐一半椅子，背部挺得笔直，双脚平放地面，两眼注视餐盘的前缘。把食物放入口中后，她必须先把叉子放回餐盘，双手放在腿上，然后开始咀嚼。

   刚开始，由于太过注重形式，平常吃饭就慢的罗森博格根本吃不饱。“高年级学生后来告诉我，吃东西必须三五口就吞下，不能细嚼慢咽。”这样的“魔鬼训练”结束后，罗森博格瘦了好几公斤。

    5、对今年21岁的士官生贝特培德来说，最难忘的则是训练。

  在西点，贝特培德每天早晨6时30分起床，晚上11时30分熄灯睡觉，一天的时间排得满满的。

   无论上课还是训练，她从未迟到——在西点，迟到的学生都要背诵当年拿破仑因迟到一分钟而兵败滑铁卢的故事。

    诸葛长青：用历史名人故事激励学员，是一个好方法。而且会让他们自觉和历史名人站在一起，增加自己的荣誉感。

    每年，西点军校要组织学生到一个森林演习。学员们在这里要模拟实战，靠指南针和地图前进，风餐露宿。贝特培德记得，“这种训练为期6周，包括实战和培养野外生存能力等项目。有一次，我背着19公斤重的武器装备急行军，学校规定我们女生要在42分钟内跑完2.41公里，然后进行100多米的武装泅渡。上岸后，背起装备再跑100多米到一个集合地点。然后，徒手攀越湖面上10来米高的钢索，到湖中心跳到水中，泅渡上岸，再做10个俯卧撑，最后跑步到集合地点。”虽然爱好体育的贝特培德有一副好身板，但每次结束训练，总是浑身瘫软。但她说，很高兴自己挺了过来。“因为我们不许失败。”

    的确，成立于1802年的西点军校从不接受失败者。现在西点平均每年招1300名左右的学生，最后能熬到毕业的只有1000多人。西点规定，第一年就必须淘汰10%的学员。能够从西点毕业的学生，都是能在艰苦条件下承担重任的人。罗森博格与贝特培德能挺过4年，也算得上“女中豪杰”。

    6、团队决定着生死。“合作”是西点军校的军规之一，而合作离不开团队。罗森博格说，在西点军校，团队精神特别重要，有事大家都会彼此通气。诸葛长青认为，你的公司内部，要全力培养团队精神，打造钢铁团队。

   四年的西点生活，让罗森博格明白了团队决定着生死。

   在训练中，她常常因同伴“死亡”而不得不一个人去面对几个敌人，这一点，在战场上是同样适用的。因此，在西点，有时候一个人犯错，整个小队就会一起受罚。

   罗森博格曾经把一句话写在自己的笔记本上：“假如你在心中记得照顾别人，那你就会取得成功。”

    贝特培德也记得，按规定第一年她必须记住1300多名新学员的名字。

   诸葛长青：西点军校的一大特点，让学员记住1300名学员名字，真是一种好方法，因为这是告诉你，你必须记住你的伙伴、记住你的团队，打造一心一意的钢铁团队。

   这虽然很难，但到毕业时，她对全校4000多名学员的名字和基本情况都记得清清楚楚。因为“我们是一个团队”。

    为了帮新成员记住团队，西点军校有很多特别的“招数”。在贝特培德的回忆中，“新生一入校，有一大堆的东西要记。会议厅有几盏灯，每天的日程表是什么，都要记得一字不差”。新生还要轮流站在走廊的时钟下面，大声地清楚报时：“距离晚餐集合还有5分钟，穿上课制服。”要是报错了一点，就会受到处罚。而处罚还是背诵：要背出当天所有的相关信息，比如日期，值日官的姓名，重要的活动，当天放映的电影，甚至当天距离毕业典礼还有多少天，这些都要报得丝毫不差。

    学员荣誉准则： 不得撒谎、欺骗、行窃，也不得容忍他人有这种行为。 不推卸责任。 无私奉献。

   7、西点军校学校文化

    诸葛长青：西点军校的神奇之处，是让每一名学员，时时刻刻记住为祖国服务，为祖国骄傲。把平凡的士兵升级到国家层面，无形之中，提升了士兵的层次。诸葛长青认为，这个可以称为“精神震撼法则”。

   每一名学员都必须时刻牢记西点军校校训：职责、荣誉、国家。
   西点训条：准时、守纪、严格、正直、刚毅。
