Among all the crimes, killing lives is the first, and killing lives really pays off. Do not kill animals.

To kill is to kill one's life directly.

To kill is to directly hurt the chance of living creatures to become Buddhas.

To kill is to create an unforgivable and terrible crime.

Zhuge Changqing believed that people should cherish life, abstain from killing and release life, and do good deeds and accumulate virtue before being rich and noble.

Master Lianchi (1523-1615 AD), an eminent monk of the Ming Dynasty.

Master Lianchi is also known as Master Yunqi.

He became a scholar at the age of seventeen and is famous for his knowledge and virtue.

After becoming a monk, he learned the Confucian classics, integrated the two sects of Zen and Buddhism, and dredged the Sutra of Amitabha with Zen principles. He formulated the water and land ritual and the yoga flame mouth method to relieve the suffering of the nether world. His works are very abundant. He has published the Cloud Qifa Collection, which is one of the four eminent monks of the Ming Dynasty.

Master Lianchi told a story about "killing snakes and killing children".

In the south of Jiangshan City, Zhejiang Province, there was a farmer who was good at killing animals and killed many animals.

One day in May of the sixth year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, when he hoed to the field, he occasionally saw a large snake in the distance. The snake was staring and tonguing. The farmer looked at it, then ran after it and cut it to death with a hoe.

The farmer is in his forties and has only one son, only eight or nine years old.

As a result, at the end of the night, his son woke up with a dream of being bitten by a poisonous snake.

Why did he dream? In fact, it is the snake creditor who comes to collect the debt.

The next day, his son suddenly suffered from severe cold and fever, and the medicine was ineffective. When he was dying, he saw the big snake killed by the farmer in a trance, bit him in his dream, screamed, stared and spit out his tongue.

Zhuge Changqing's research found that Amitabha, snakes, weasels, foxes, turtles and other large life forms are all highly spiritual life. It is also the six-way reincarnation of sentient beings, most of which are the result of life changes. After they were killed, their revenge was particularly strong. Anyone who killed or ate them would be retaliated for it. In real life, many people get traffic accidents, serious diseases, and serious diseases because of killing animals. Therefore, we must abstain from killing and releasing animals. Amitabha! It's alarming to kill people.

诸罪业中，杀生第一，杀生真的果报很厉害的。切忌杀生啊。

   杀生，就是直接杀掉了性命。

  杀生，就是直接伤害了生灵成佛的机缘。

  杀生，就是造就了不可饶恕的可怕罪业。

  诸葛长青认为，人当爱护生命，戒杀放生，行善积德，方可富贵。

  莲池大师(公元1523～1615年)，明代高僧。

   莲池大师，讳袾宏，字佛慧，号莲池，亦称云栖大师。

  年仅十七岁就中了秀才，以学问德行著称。

  出家后博学经教，融通禅净二宗，以禅理疏《弥陀经》。制定水陆仪文，瑜伽焰口法，以济幽冥之苦.著作甚丰, 有《云栖法汇》刊行于世, 为明朝四大高僧之一。

  莲池大师讲了一个“杀蛇害子”恶报的故事。

   浙江省江山城南，有一农夫，性好杀生，残杀物命甚多。 

  清同治六年五月，有一天，荷锄到田野，偶见远处一条大蛇，那条蛇在那里瞪目吐舌，农夫一看，便追过去，用锄头猛力将蛇砍死了。 

  农夫年已四十多岁，只有一子，年纪才八、九岁。

  结果，当天夜了，他的儿子就梦见被毒蛇咬伤，而惊醒。

  他为什么做梦呢？实际上，就是那条蛇债主上门讨债。

  第二天，他的儿子忽然大寒大热，医药无效，临死时，在恍惚中看见农夫所杀的大蛇，向他梦咬一口，惊叫一声，瞪目吐舌而死。

  诸葛长青研究发现：阿弥陀佛，蛇类、黄鼠狼、狐狸、乌龟等大体型的生命，都是修行程度高的生命。也是六道轮回众生，多是人生变化而来。他们被杀后，报仇心特别强大，凡是杀害、吃掉他们的人，都会因此受到报复的。现实生活中，很多人就是因为杀生得到车祸、大病、恶症等。所以，一定要戒杀放生。阿弥陀佛，杀生恶报令人警醒啊。
