A gentleman is a man with the world in his mind, a man who is holy within and a king without. He should respect his parents at home and benefit society outside.

----- Zhuge Changqing

    Mencius (372 BC - 289 BC), known as Ke. He was a native of the State of Lu during the Warring States period and descended from Qingfu of the State of Lu. He was a famous thinker and educator in ancient China and a representative figure of Confucianism during the Warring States period.

   The ideas of Mencius were compiled by his disciples into the book Mencius.

   Mencius inherited and developed the ideas of Confucius, and became a Confucian master second only to him.

   Zhuge Changqing has compiled some of Mencius' quotes to share with those who are interested.

   1. Those who love others will always be loved; those who respect others will always be respected.

   Zhuge Changqing: If a person has love, he is in accordance with the Way of Heaven. That is, he is respected by all.

    2、This is why when the heavens descend upon a man, he must first suffer his heart and mind, labour his bones and muscles, starve his body, empty his body, and do what he can to move his heart and endure his nature, and gain what he cannot.

   Zhuge Changqing: Achieving greatness requires practice. In particular, you must cultivate your heart and learn to be patient. Since ancient times, it has been difficult for those who cannot endure to achieve great things. Especially young people, who have just joined the workforce, should learn to be modest and cautious, refrain from arrogance and impatience, study diligently and be patient in their work. No matter what you do, you have to put in hard work. It is very important to be patient as a ten-thousand-foot high building rises from the ground.

   3. Timing is not as good as location, and location is not as good as people.

    Zhuge Changqing: To survive in society, people are the first thing. The height of your interpersonal relationship determines the height and level of your career success. Work hard.

   4、No rules, no square.

   Zhuge Changqing: Do things in accordance with the constitution, do not violate the basic laws. At home, you have to respect your parents and care for your relatives; in your career, you have to abide by the discipline of your work, obey the management of your superiors and coordinate the relationships around you, otherwise you will not be successful. Zhuge Changqing once saw an ancient porcelain vase in a museum, on which was engraved the words "Adults are not free and free are not adults".

   5. Those who get the right way will get more help, but those who lose the right way will get less help. If you do not help much, your relatives will be on your side; if you help a lot, the world will be obedient.

   Zhuge Changqing: If you do more good deeds and accumulate more yin and virtue, you will be blessed. To attain the Way is to follow the Way of Heaven. The Way of Heaven is good virtue, and those who go against it will surely suffer punishment.

   6. If one respects the virtuous and makes the capable, and if the handsome are in their positions, then all the men of the world will be pleased and willing to stand in their dynasties.

   Zhuge Changqing: Respect the sages, appoint capable ministers, and put good people in official positions, then the world will be harmonious and peaceful, and the emperor will be able to govern the world easily. If you are an entrepreneur, you have to pay attention to improve your management realm, you have to think "how many talented and handsome people do you have under you"?

   7. If you are poor, you will be good to yourself; if you are rich, you will be good to the world.

  Zhuge Changqing: When you are not developed, you should pay attention to cultivating your body and developing yourself; if you become prosperous, you should benefit society and help the world. Zhuge Changqing believes that, not to mention the big things, it should be possible to do well in such things as comforting old people's homes, helping poor students, volunteering to donate blood, picking up rubbish and encouraging others.

   8. To have no father and no ruler is to be a beast.

  Zhuge Changqing: It is important to behave in accordance with the principles of being a human being, especially filial piety to parents.

   9. It is better to believe in books than to have no books at all.

  Zhuge Changqing: Remember, reading is for application, if you read without application, you will waste knowledge, you will damage the usefulness of knowledge.

   10、The son ascends the eastern mountain and is small to Lu, and ascends Mount Tai and is small to the world.

   Zhuge Changqing: Be a man of realm, have the world in mind, stand tall and see far.

君子者，胸怀天下，内圣外王。在家孝敬父母，在外造福社会。

    孟子（前372年－前289年），名轲。战国时期鲁国人，鲁国庆父后裔。中国古代著名思想家、教育家，战国时期儒家代表人物。

   孟子的思想，被弟子们整理成《孟子》一书。

   孟子继承并发扬了孔子的思想，成为仅次于孔子的一代儒家宗师，有“亚圣”之称，与孔子合称为“孔孟”。

   诸葛长青辑录部分孟子名言，与有缘者分享。

   1、爱人者，人恒爱之；敬人者，人恒敬之。

   诸葛长青：人若有爱心，即符合天道。即受人尊敬。

    2、故天降大任与斯人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨，饿其体肤，空乏其身，行拂乱其所为，所以动心忍性，增益其所不能。

   诸葛长青：成就大事业需要磨练。尤其是要修炼你的心，学会忍耐。自古以来，不能忍耐者，很难成大事。尤其是年轻人，刚刚参加工作，要学会谦虚谨慎，戒骄戒躁，勤奋学习，耐心干好本职工作。不论做什么，都要付出艰辛努力。万丈高楼平地起，耐心十分重要。

   3、天时不如地利，地利不如人和。

    诸葛长青：在社会上生存，人是第一位的。你人际关系的高矮，决定你事业成功的高度和水平。好好努力啊。

   4、不以规矩，不成方圆。

   诸葛长青：办事情要符合章程，不要违背基本规律。在家里要孝敬父母，关爱亲人；在事业上，要遵守工作的纪律，服从上级的管理，协调周围的关系，否则就不圆满。诸葛长青曾经在博物馆看到一个古代的瓷瓶，上面刻着“成人不自在、自在不成人”，如果你自由自在不接受正规道义，很难成就一番事业的。

   5、得道者多助，失道者寡助。寡助之至，亲戚畔之；多助之至，天下顺之。

   诸葛长青：多做善事、多积阴德，必有福报。得道，就是循从天道。天道就是善德，违背者必然遭受惩罚。

   6、尊贤使能，俊杰在位，则天下之士皆悦而愿立于其朝矣。

   诸葛长青：尊重圣贤，任用能臣，让优秀的人才担任官职，那么天下就会和谐安宁，帝王就可轻松治理天下了。如果你是一位企业家，要注意提升自己的管理境界，你要思考“你手下有多少人才俊杰”？

   7、穷则独善其身，达则兼善天下。

  诸葛长青：没有发达的时候，要注意修身养性，发展自己；如果飞黄腾达了，就要造福社会、救济天下苍生。诸葛长青认为，大的事情不说，慰问敬老院、救助贫困学生、义务献血、捡拾垃圾、鼓励别人这些事情应该是可以做好的。

   8、无父无君，是禽兽也。

  诸葛长青：做人要符合做人的道理，尤其是孝敬父母很重要啊。

   9、尽信书，不如无书。

  诸葛长青：记住，读书是为了应用，如果读书不应用，就会浪费知识，就会损害知识的作用。

   10、子登东山而小鲁，登泰山而小天下。

   诸葛长青：做人要有境界，要胸怀天下，站的高看得远。

What are the acts of abstaining from killing and releasing

 戒杀与放生的行为包括哪些

 1. Do not kill a living being with your own hands.

　　2. Do not abet others to kill.

　　3. Do not help others to kill.

　　4. Abstain from eating meat.

　　5. Do not engage in trades related to killing.

　　6、Whenever there is worship, regardless of what is being worshipped, use vegetarian dishes, flowers and fruit, not animal gifts.

　　7. If you see someone killing a human being, you should discourage them or buy the animal to be slaughtered with money and release it. If this does not work, or if the person does not sell the animal, then you should have compassion for the slaughtered animal, and even better if you can recite the Buddha's name or mantra for it.

　　8. Do not abuse the animal.

　　9、Other actions that are contrary to killing.

　　10. Abstain from killing and releasing animals yourself, and advise others to do the same. 

   1、不亲手杀生。

　　2、不教唆别人杀生。

　　3、不帮助别人杀生。

　　4、戒除肉食。

　　5、不从事与杀生有关的行业。

　　6、凡有祭拜，不管拜的是什么，一律用素菜、鲜花、水果，不用牲礼。

　　7、见人杀生，应加劝阻，或用钱将临宰之动物买而放之。若劝阻无效，或他不卖，则应对被杀之动物起同情心，若能为它念佛号或往生咒更好。

　　8、不虐待动物。

　　9、其他与杀生行为相反之行为。

　　10、自己戒杀放生，也劝别人戒杀放生。
