The XY theory was put forward by Douglas M. McGregor (1906-1964) in his book The Human Face of Enterprises, so he was later called the XY theory.

Zhuge Changqing, the inheritor and promoter of the traditional Chinese culture, believes that the XY theory of enterprise management is similar to China's Yin and Yang dichotomy, and is similar to Legalism and Confucianism; It can be compared as follows:

The theory of X is similar to the legalists, who believe that the human heart is evil and needs the guidance of desire and heavy punishment;

Y theory is similar to Confucianism, which believes that the human heart is good and needs both moral education and punishment.

1. Theory X: It is lazy to think that people are evil. The X theory believes that human nature is lazy and lazy, so we must take command and forced management to change each other. 2. Y theory: It is positive that people are kind. The general human nature is not to hate work. If given appropriate opportunities and incentives, people like work and are eager to play their talents; As long as we take incentives and other measures, we can improve our work enthusiasm. 譬如:XY 理论,属于现代管理学理论 


XY理论是由道格拉斯·麦克雷戈(Douglas M.McGregor,1906-1964)在他著的《企业的人性面》提出来的,故后人称他为XY理论。 


国学传统文化传承弘扬者诸葛长青认为,这个XY理论企业管理理论和中国的阴阳二分法类似,和法家、儒家思想类似;可以这样打比喻:


X理论类似法家,认为人心是恶,需要欲望引导、重刑重罚;

Y理论类似儒家,认为人心是善,需要德礼教育、德刑并重。


1.X理论:认为人心恶,是懒惰的。X理论认为,人性懒惰,好逸恶劳,必须采取命令、强制的管理方式来改变对方。国学传统文化传承弘扬者诸葛长青认为,这个理论容易造成和员工仇恨心理,不利于企业长久发展,容易发生管理矛盾,实践证明,这种观点,在一些不规范的公司创业时期用的较多,但是随着时代发展,这个理论已经不合时宜。


2.Y理论:认为人心善,是积极的。一般人本性不是厌恶工作,如果给予适当机会,给予适当鼓励激励,人们喜欢工作,并渴望发挥其才能;只要采取激励鼓励等措施,就可以提升工作积极性。国学传统文化传承弘扬者诸葛长青认为,现代社会,关爱员工、教育员工、激励员工,要排列在第一位。只有做到关爱员工、教育员工、激励员工,企业才能健康发展,
