Gratitude is the sun, positive energy, and the magnet for good fortune. It will make people have a good fate.
Since ancient times, successful people have always been grateful for doing well.
Who is grateful? We are grateful to our parents, to all living beings, to the motherland, to the three treasures of Buddhist monks, to all sages, to all things in the world, to flowers and trees, to the sun and rain, to our friends and colleagues, to our family, and to everything.
An entrepreneur named Hu Xiaolin.
Hu Xiaolin, a philanthropic entrepreneur, devotes nearly millions or tens of millions of yuan to charity every year, and he is immeasurably meritorious. His contribution to society and the promotion of Dharma is amazing.
He also actively studied Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, and made positive contributions to the revitalization of traditional Chinese culture. He not only studies hard, but also implements it in real life and work.
Hu Xiaolin continued to spread the culture of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.

Ladies and gentlemen, teachers and students, please sit down.
Today I am very happy to be here again at the Hong Kong Buddha Education Association. I can take this opportunity to report to you some experiences and feelings gained from learning Chinese traditional culture and implementing the Disciple Code in enterprises. Master raised this topic, which is called "Inspiration of Chinese traditional culture driving enterprises to success". In fact, it is called enlightenment. I don't think it is too much. I just groped for three and a half years. I may have some experience and feelings, which can provide some reference for you.
After three and a half years of studying Buddhism, what is Chinese traditional culture? Why should we learn Chinese traditional culture? How to learn Chinese traditional culture? I have some experience on these issues. That is, I may be wrong, and I hope you can criticize and help me.
My own experience is that the reason why Chinese traditional culture is effective and great is that it tells us what mistakes we have; Second, how can we correct these mistakes; Third, after correcting these mistakes, what kind of state will we have.
Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Hu Xiaolin's summary is very good. This is the important role of Chinese traditional culture.
So when we study Chinese traditional culture, we should find out our own mistakes in comparison with Chinese traditional culture, and according to the method given by Chinese traditional culture, we should call the method, correct these mistakes, and then achieve a happy and complete life. At the same time, you can go to a better place when you are walking, such as the Western Paradise, so it is a culture born from the world. Through the world, I will tell you how to manage this life and achieve the most complete and happy life in this world; When you are born, I tell you to break away from the six paths, become a Buddha and an ancestor, and then release the wish of great compassion and ambition to save all living beings. So the reason why Chinese traditional culture can drive enterprises to success is that Chinese traditional culture tells us what is our fault? The reason why we can't succeed, the family can't succeed, the body is sick, the career can't succeed, and there are many obstacles in doing things is because we have mistakes and don't change. Therefore, to learn Chinese traditional culture, never change without its roots. To say a thousand things is to implement and correct.
1、 We should learn to correct our mistakes.
Are we really at fault?
The words in "The Four Instructions to All Men" are like the thorns of hedgehogs.
The reason why we don't see those who have experienced it is that we feel as if there is no fault. We can't see the problems in ourselves. Our heart is thick and our eyes are dim because our heart is too thick because there are obstacles in front of us. So we can't succeed, so we can't be happy, so we have many obstacles to do things because we can't find our own mistakes. So my experience is that Chinese traditional culture tells us the standards of wrong and right, good and evil, evil and right. Don't waste time learning Chinese traditional culture, that is, take responsibility directly against traditional culture and never let go of your mistakes.
As Mr. Fan said in the "Four Commandments", "Every day we know what is wrong, every day we change, every day we know what is wrong, that is, every day we are satisfied with ourselves, every day we have no mistakes to change, that is, every day we have no steps to move forward, and there are many smart and handsome people in the world. The reason why we do not improve our moral integrity and do not expand our career is only to follow the two words and delay our life", and go along with it. So when I often report to the outside, I say that learning Buddhism is to change and change is to learn Buddhism. Otherwise, don't waste time in Buddhism. Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. We should summarize ourselves in time and reflect on our mistakes. Find your fault, and then try to correct it, which will make a leap.
2、 We should learn to be grateful.
After three and a half years of study, we have gradually discovered our mistakes. Our slogan now is:
"Feel the kindness of others and correct your own mistakes".
Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. This sentence of the monk Hu Xiaolin is the philosophy of life.
To learn the rules of disciples, traditional culture and Buddhism, in the final analysis, we should implement the four words of gratitude and correction. How can I be grateful? If you correct your mistakes, you will be grateful.
How can I correct my mistakes? You will be grateful, and you can correct your mistakes. Gratitude and correction are two aspects of the same thing. The reason why you will not be grateful is because you have mistakes. It is because you have mistakes that you will not be grateful. Thanksgiving is to see through, know where the kindness is, and repay the kindness; Change is to let go. The reason why you can't let go is that you don't know where the grace is. It is because you don't know where the grace is, so you will make mistakes. So to change is to stop, to be grateful is to observe, to observe and to see. Many of us complain that we have been learning Buddhism for a long time, including myself. Our kung fu is not effective, the blessings are not present, the state has not changed, and we are always puzzled, unable to find the reason, and we have worked hard to learn Buddhism. Finally, we lose confidence in Buddhism and Buddha and Bodhisattva. The fundamental reason is that you are not able to learn and chant Buddhism because you have obstacles.
I have a story here. I want to share it with you through this opportunity. This is a story of Buddha, which tells the truth of gratitude. The story is very simple, but the truth is very deep. This story tells us why we should be grateful, and what kind of results you will bring.
The name of this story is "The Story of Seven Sons and a crutch". This story tells why we should be grateful. In the era of the Buddha, the Buddha used a cane to let seven sons and seven daughters-in-law know what filial piety is.
One day when the Buddha went out to pray, he met a very old Brahman on the road. His back was bent, and he was leaning on a crutch and holding a bowl. It was very difficult to walk. Beggars, beggars, can not be less blessed, except for the dead. He stooped and bowed his back, and supported his crutches one step forward before he could take one step.
The Buddha looked in his eyes, compassion in his heart, and stepped forward to help the old man: old man, it is not convenient for you to walk. Why do you come out to beg for alms? Is there no child to take care of you? The old man replied: Yes, I have seven sons, but they have married and married. They have wives to take care of and children to raise, so they can't accommodate me and drive me out. This is the old man's reply to the Buddha. Through this passage, we can see that the problem lies outside, but not inside. The children have married and had children, and can't accommodate me, so we just blew me out. "If you can't do it, ask yourself". The old man doesn't know this truth, but still blames his son and his wife. Because they have married and had children, they don't support me, they don't reflect on themselves, and they don't correct their mistakes. He looked up and recognized the Buddha. He knelt down and said, "Buddha!"! You save me. What can I use to influence and educate my son? Do you think we should educate others or ask the Buddha to help him? It seems that the old man doesn't understand any truth.
"All the fields of blessing are not separated from the square, and they can be found from the heart, and the feeling is all right," said Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor. He does not know to seek inside, but only to seek outside and find the reason. Let's see how the Buddha helped him. Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Yes, everything is cause and effect, and all blessings are the realization of their merits. Pray from your heart, not from outside.
The Buddha kindly said that the truth should be listened to carefully. When it is translated into Mandarin, it may be listening. Only by listening attentively can he enlighten his conscience.
The old man said, "It will be difficult to enlighten my sons and educate them.". You see, he still thinks he should educate his son and inspire others. Because now they have only their own wives and children in mind, and there is no extra time to listen to reason. You still want to educate others and find other people's problems.
The Buddha said: As long as you put your heart, you can still.
The old man asked: How should I pay attention?
Buddha said: Don't think about anything, just remember to hold the crutch in your hand carefully and walk steadily with your heart. What are we talking about? Stop, stop delusions, stop where? Stop on crutches; It's over, watch. You should be grateful for this crutch with the most pious heart.
In fact, the Buddha tactfully pointed out his problems. The reason why you are so poor today is that you will not be grateful. In other words, grateful people are blessed, and grateful people will not be beggars.
You should be grateful for this crutch with the most pious heart, because it helps you walk. This is the first thing. You should see and be grateful. The second thing is how to observe this crutch. If a vicious dog comes, you can use the crutch to drive it away. The Buddha inspired him that the crutch in your hand can help you walk first, and the second is the dog coming. It can drive the dog away and protect itself. When wading, you can use crutches to explore the depth to test the safety. Look at the third function. When crossing the river, you can use a cane to probe the depth of the water to ensure safety. It helps you walk out of a flat road and won't kick a stone and fall. You should be grateful for it all. If you are careful in your thoughts and words, you can influence your son. Is it strange, superstitious? How can I be grateful for this crutch so that my son can be influenced? it is beyond logic and above reason.
Why did Buddha choose a beggar to tell this story?
It shows that people like beggars have something to be grateful for, not to mention all of us here today. Beggars, the bottom of the society, and their wife, Luomen, have no ability to work and can only live by begging. Such people have objects to be grateful for. In other words, the reason why you are a beggar today is that you are not grateful. Buddha can't give you happiness, nor can he give you a good fate. He can only give you education and methods. You should practice according to yourself, and the happiness will come, and you can influence your son. Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Good, good. Yes, the Buddha Dharma is vast, and it has always been a great magic weapon. In fact, everyone needs to work hard. The old man thought, this is really true. Who can I rely on at this time? You see enlightening wisdom. I can only rely on this crutch. This crutch has helped me the most. I should be grateful. You see, you have found the object of thanksgiving and understood the truth of thanksgiving. From then on, the old man was convinced by what the Buddha said, obedient, honest and honest! He was convinced, meticulous and determined to implement it. He no longer complained about his son's marriage and childbearing and didn't care for me, so he threw me out. At that time, I will not do this, do not blame others, do not find trouble and responsibility from others, and I will be grateful wholeheartedly. I will feel the kindness of crutches every day. Are you going to say today that we are not fools? It turned out to be a beggar. Today, he has become a madman and is grateful for the kindness of the crutch. Sometimes he blurted out and said, "Thank you!"! Grateful crutches help me walk. Grateful crutches let me detect the depth of water. Grateful crutches protect my body and drive away evil dogs. Look at these three things, do this kind of visualization, stop delusions, stop being inhuman and stop complaining about your son. He keeps thanksgiving, a deep and long-term study, and his thoughts and thoughts are thanksgiving.
The old man's seven sons are the only ones they love most in their daily life. One day they heard that there was a Buddha in the city who could bless the world. If they asked for the Buddha's blessing, everyone could get the greatest blessing. Really? It's true that the Buddha can't give you the blessing. He just tells you how to cultivate it. Let's see how these seven sons changed? The seven brothers were invited to pray for the blessing of the Buddha together. They are selfish. At this time, who wants the blessing, who doesn't want the blessing, who doesn't want the good life? The greater the blessings in life, the better. So we are invited to go together and find the Buddha to bless us. What a good thing, even the wife and children have been taken. When he arrived at the Mount Jaitaka Horie in the Wangshacheng, the Buddha was teaching to the public. That day, his wife, Luomen, came out with a cane and a bowl to pray. Now all his worries have been removed. Pay attention to this sentence. What is the standard of a grateful person? All the worries have been removed. In other words, as long as you have a little trouble, your sense of gratitude is not complete, and your sense of gratitude is not exactly. Don't underestimate the word "all". It is really difficult to do it.
All his worries have been removed, and his heart is only grateful, and his heart is only grateful. If you don't leave room for trouble, others will have a crutch. He has nothing else, except for the crutch, which may be air. So while walking, I still read gratitude and thank him for his crutches. Let's see today. This is insane. People who are grateful are not neurotic. Someone passed by and saw that the old man was so kind and full of gratitude, so he asked him that you must be a blessed man if your heart is so contented and grateful. Blessed are those who will be grateful. What are the blessings? A beggar, a beggar. The man went on to say, do you know the Buddha's statement on the Mount Jaitaka in Wangshacheng, do you want to see the Buddha? Let Buddha bless you.
The old man was full of joy when he heard this. He said, "I am very grateful to the Buddha. The Buddha once told me on the way, so I am very happy now.". "A simple meal and a gourd of drink will not change the joy". You see he is a beggar, and he is very happy. "If you don't give your blessing, you should give your wisdom first." According to the Four Commandments of Leviathan, his blessing hasn't come out yet, but his wisdom has come out first. If you don't give your blessings, you should give your wisdom first. Those who know how to be grateful will have wisdom. Before the blessings come out, wisdom comes out first and wisdom guides your blessings. So I am very happy and at ease now. I don't know how to see the Buddha again and hear the Buddha's teachings.
The kind-hearted passer-by said: I'm going to worship the Buddha and hear the Dharma. We can go together. The blessing report was coming. Someone told him that the Buddha was preaching the Dharma and that it was a blessing to hear the Dharma. The old man followed the kind passer-by to Mount Jaitaragarie. At that time, the Buddha had begun to speak, and the old man came slowly from a distance, still chanting gratitude while walking, thanksgiving crutches to help me, and walked to the Buddha. The Buddha saw him and said, "Here you are. My wife, Luomen, is so happy to see you. How do you feel grateful?"? Come here and read more. At that time, there were many people who heard of Buddhism. The old man did not know that his sons were also present. He smiled and looked beautiful, and said without any worries. Look at these three words, "You have a smile on your face, and you have no worries at all.".
What is gratitude like? You said that I have a heart of gratitude, I will be grateful, I know gratitude, I know gratitude, then you must show a smile, full of scenery, and have no worries at all. You have achieved these three standards. Be grateful inside and show your face. Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Let your heart be full of sunshine and happiness.
I am grateful for this crutch, which walks with me, lives with me, and helps me through the dangerous road; Let me know the depth when crossing the water; If there is a vicious dog, you can also use it to protect me and drive the dog away, so I am grateful for this crutch in my hand. The Buddha was very happy to hear this and scanned his seven sons and seven daughters-in-law with his eyes.
The Buddha said earnestly: Yes! The most important thing in life is to be grateful. A crutch can help you live and make you happy. So you should be grateful. There are many people in the world who are not as good as a crutch. They do not know how to respect their parents. They will be tortured by their sons and will fall into hell in the future. Life like this is lack of gratitude. If they can respect their parents, they will be blessed. When the Buddha finished speaking, the seven sons and daughters-in-law looked at their old father and heard what the Buddha said. They were really ashamed. Their conscience was immediately inspired. The seven sons stood up at the same time, and the daughter-in-law came to the Buddha to salute and thank him. Then he turned around to the old father, held him and said, "We are ashamed and repentant. We will invite our father to go home from today, and we must take care of you. At this time, the seven sons are all fighting to welcome our father home.". This is the end of the story.
The old man doesn't know how to be grateful. He suffers from this kind of hardship in this world. When he is a beggar, he has a son who is unfilial to support him. The son is not filial to his father. The Buddha said that he would fall into hell, and self-destruction is to destroy him. The old man did not go to the street committee to do the work of the seven sons, nor did he go to the court to fight a lawsuit. He had to fight with the seven sons and let the court make a decision. "You can't do it by yourself." You know your virtue is weak, you know your blessings are weak, and you need to cultivate them. The best way to cultivate your blessings is to have a grateful heart. The old people are grateful for their crutches. Through this crutches, it is a drug guide to trigger the heart of gratitude, and the blessing is coming. Before the good news came, the seven sons were all fighting to be filial to him. That was a great blessing. If the seven children are all filial to their father, will they go to hell? No.
The unfilial adoptive parents will surely go to hell, and the filial adoptive parents will not. As soon as the old man shows his gratitude, the newspaper will be transferred along with the newspaper. The son is the newspaper. He will be grateful if the newspaper is good and transferred. You see, the newspaper has changed.
Therefore, "Don't abuse yourself, don't abandon yourself, and the sage and the virtuous can be tamed", which is emphasized in the "Disciple Regulations". According to the "Four Commandments of Confucius", "It is easy for anyone who has wealth and power to establish virtue", and it is easy for you to establish virtue; "It's easy not to do it, but to do it for yourself". It doesn't matter if you do it yourself. You are right. You are right. You are right. You are right. So if the old man wants to make a grudge with his son, revenge each other, accuse others of being wrong, accuse others of being unfilial and caring for their parents and not being sensible, and destroy himself and his son. I have a sense of gratitude, my realm has been improved, and my son has also been saved. This is called Great Perfection.
3、 Beggars are grateful. Don't we be grateful?
Back to our theme, Chinese traditional culture can drive enterprises to succeed. Success is a blessing. Which enterprise boss doesn't want to succeed? Where does Fu come from? Happiness comes from gratitude. Who do you feel grateful for?
3、 The beggar is grateful, and we should do better.
A beggar has a place to be grateful. Can't you find the object of gratitude?
Take me, Hu Xiaolin, who is worth billions of dollars. I don't know how to be grateful. Drivers, secretaries, employees, customers, subcontractors, and even the waiters in the restaurant, let alone my parents, don't know how to be grateful. I can't feel grateful. In the end, you are not successful. In the end, you have no luck. When you are old, you have no one to support you. You cannot earn money, and your health is in a mess. You, let's talk here, but no one can complain because of what?
Because you didn't learn traditional culture, because traditional culture tells you how to cultivate happiness. So the reason why Chinese traditional culture can drive enterprises to success is that Chinese traditional culture tells us the first thing: people should be grateful, and people should be grateful. I know where the grace is; To repay the kindness and call for the punishment, the punishment should be corresponding.
Let's look back. We are much better than beggars. Do we know how to repay the kindness? Our old man's house of clearance opened last night, which made people cry. There are disasters in the country and in the world. Although I can't go back to China to promote Dharma, I want to be closer to my motherland. Hong Kong is on the border of the motherland. We should save the motherland and resolve disasters for the motherland. A few simple words can enlighten the deaf and sound ashamed. We don't know the gratitude, let alone repay it. Who said we didn't know the gratitude of the old monk Jingkong? Who said we didn't know how to repay the kindness. What is it like to repay the kindness? Let's talk about what kind of people are grateful people, and what kind of people are grateful people? Does the beggar know his kindness? Be grateful. Are you grateful? Gratitude. What does it look like? It's really dry to obey the Buddha's teachings! True change. What about us? We have kept such a kind old man, such an intelligent old man, lectured and preached the Dharma for so many years, and never abandoned the motherland. Do we know our gratitude? We are much better than beggars. When a beggar meets the Buddha on the way, we stay by the old man's side every day. We can't fill in this instruction and don't follow it!
This afternoon, we will have a meeting of Liuhejing. How can we achieve Liuhejing? A thankless person is ashamed to talk about six harmonies. How can a person who doesn't change his mind be able to make a peace? Therefore, thanksgiving and correction are the basis of Six Harmonies, the essence of Mahayana Buddhism, and the heart of Buddha. For forty-nine years, the Buddha didn't say anything else, either let you be grateful or let you change, or let you change or let you be grateful. The main road is easy to be simplified. We really followed suit. Just like this old man, the good fortune is now and the good fortune is now. Our blessing report is now ahead of us. When we are good, the country will be good, and the report will be followed by the positive report. All day long, we say that children are not filial, there are disasters in the country, there are many natural disasters, and there are many social problems, which are based on the report.
Our regular report is not good. How can we do it according to the report? How can you change it according to the report? In other words, according to the report is a mirror. Looking at our regular report, we can see that there is something wrong with the report. We should not only complain about the report, but also have three hearts.
The first is a sense of shame. We are reporting problems. We feel that we are in such a state.
The second is to be grateful. He is the doctor who came to me and pointed out my disease. I know where the disease is. Please come and tell me my disease.
Third, the action is to repay the kindness, which really cures the disease. If you really cure the disease, the doctor will not come in vain. If you really feel the kindness of the doctor, you should listen to the doctor and cure the disease. You have cured your illness and your health has improved. At the same time, the doctor has planted a good cause and saved a person. The doctor is cultivating a good fortune.
If you really want to feel the doctor's kindness, you must cure the disease. Why? Because the reason for your cure is the doctor, and the reason for your cure is the result. The good reason for this good result is that the doctor pointed out your disease, which is the best reward for the doctor. If the doctor points out the disease to you, and you don't treat it properly, you will be broken, anyway. I don't know if this disease is over. I know this disease. I will do more bad things. I will abandon myself faster and harder. You will kill this doctor. You can see that a mind is a Buddha, and a mind is a devil; One mindfulness is to complete himself, and one mindfulness is to destroy himself as hell.
So we implement Chinese traditional culture in the enterprise. Just for me, my most profound experience is to give myself two tasks in addition to sleeping 24 hours a day. The first is to find the object of gratitude and the second is to find my fault. Why? My son will come back to take care of you. You don't have to think about anything else. What does the old man think? I didn't think about anything. I just felt grateful for this crutch and felt that the blessing was coming. Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Always be grateful, everything will be better and better.
A gentleman is happy to be a gentleman, and a villain wrongs him. Look at the old man with a smile and a beautiful face. He has no worries at all. You see that a gentleman is happy to be a gentleman. What's the end? Seven sons vied to support him. This is a very profound truth. According to the report, all laws are generated by the mind, the phase is generated by the heart, the state is changed by the heart, and the mind is changed. Isn't this all the truth? So the problem is not external, but internal. I have no problem. Our biggest problem is that we can't find our own problems. 各位法师,各位老师,各位同学,大家请坐。
今天非常欢喜,能够再次来到香港佛陀教育协会,利用这次机会能够向大家汇报学习中国传统文化,在企业落实《弟子规》取得的一些经验和感受。师父上人给起了这个题目,叫做「中国传统文化带动企业走向成功的启示」,其实叫启示我觉得有点过,我没有什么太多的成绩,只是摸索了三年半的时间,可能有一些经验和感受,能够对大家有一些参考。
自己学佛三年半的时间到今天,什么是中国传统文化?为什么中国传统文化我们要学习?怎样学习中国传统文化?就这几个问题,我有一些体会。就是,我可能说得不对,也希望大家能够批评,帮助我。
我自己的体会,就是说中国传统文化之所以有效、之所以伟大,一是在于它告诉我们,我们人有哪些过错;第二,我们如何改正这些过错;第三,改正这些过错之后,我们会有什么样的境界。

所以中国传统文化我们学习,就是要对照中国传统文化找出自己身上的过错,而按照中国传统文化给的方法,叫法门,修证这些错误,进而达到幸福完满的人生。同时在走的时候,能够去更好的地方,譬如说西方极乐世界,所以它是一个经世出世的文化。经世,告诉你如何经营此生,获得最圆满的、最幸福的现世的生活;出世,告诉你脱离六道,去作佛、作祖,然后再发大悲大志这个愿望来解救众生。所以中国传统文化能够带动企业走向成功的原因,在于中国传统文化告诉我们,我们的过错是什么?而我们之所以不能成功,家庭不能成功,身体有病,事业不能成功,做事多诸障碍,就是因为我们有过错而不改。所以学中国传统文化,万变不离其宗,说一千道一万,就是要落实在改过。
一、做人要学会改错。
我们真有过错吗?
《了凡四训》上说的话,「过恶猬集」,就像刺猬的刺一样。
之所以我们不见其有过者,我们觉得好像没有什么过错,看不到自己身上存在的问题,心粗而眼翳,因为我们的心太粗,因为我们眼前有障碍。所以我们不能成功,所以我们不能幸福,所以我们做事多诸障碍,就是因为发现不了自己的过错。所以我的体会就是中国传统文化告诉我们,错的和对的、善的和恶的、邪的和正的标准。学中国传统文化不要浪费时间,就是要对照传统文化直下承当,不放过自己的过错。
就像了凡先生在《四训》上讲,「日日知非,日日改过,一日不知非,即一日安于自是,一日无过可改,即一日无步可进,天下聪明俊秀不少,之所以德不加修,业不加广者,只为因循二字,耽搁一生」,苟且。所以我经常到外面汇报的时候说,学佛就是改过,改过才算学佛,否则的话不要在佛门浪费时间。诸葛长青:阿弥陀佛。我们要及时总结自己,反思自己过错啊。找到自己过错,然后努力改正,这样就会飞跃。
二、做人要学会感恩。
三年半的学习时间,逐步发现自己的过错,我们现在提出的口号是:
「感别人的恩,改自己的过」。
诸葛长青:阿弥陀佛。胡小林居士的这句话就是顿悟人生的哲理啊。
学习弟子规、学习传统文化、学习佛法说到底,最后落实的就四个字,感恩与改过。我怎么感恩?你把过错改了,你就会感恩了。
我怎么改过错?你会感恩了,你就能改过错。感恩和改过是一个事物的两个方面,之所以不会感恩,就是因为有过错,正是因为有过错,所以你才不会感恩。感恩是看破,知道恩在哪里,知恩报恩;改过是放下,之所以放不下,不知道恩在哪,正是因为不知道恩在哪,所以你才会犯过错。所以改过是止,感恩是观,观察、看。我们很多人都抱怨自己,学佛很长的时间,包括我自己在内,功夫不得力,福报不现前,境界没有改变,老是百思不得其解,找不到原因,很辛苦学佛学得,最后对佛法丧失信心,对佛菩萨丧失信心。其根本原因,是因为你有障碍,所以学佛、念佛都不得力。
我这里边有个故事,想跟大家藉这个机会分享一下,这是一个佛陀的故事,讲了感恩的道理。这个故事很简单,但这个道理很深。这个故事告诉我们为什么要感恩,感恩,你自己会带来什么样的果报。
这个故事的名字叫「七个儿子和一根拐杖的故事」,这个故事讲了为什么要感恩。在佛陀的时代,佛陀曾经以一只拐杖让七个儿子、七个媳妇了解到什么是孝道。
一天佛陀出去托钵时,在路上碰到一位很年迈的婆罗门教徒,他的背已经驼了,拄着一根拐杖还捧着一个碗,走起路来很吃力。乞丐,要饭的,福薄到没法再薄了,除了死人就是他。他弯着腰弓着背,拐杖向前撑一步,他才能走一步。
佛陀看在眼里,怜悯在心,加紧脚步上前去扶着老人:老人家,你走路那么不方便,为什么还要出来托钵,还要出来讨饭,难道没有孩子照顾你吗?老人回答:有,我有七个儿子,但是都娶妻成家了,他们有妻子要照顾,有孩子要养育,所以无法容纳我,把我赶出来。这是老人家回答佛陀的回话。我们通过这段话,我们看到问题在外,不在内,孩子娶妻生子了,无法容纳我,所以才把我给轰出来了。「行有不得,反求诸己」,老人家不知道这个道理,还是在埋怨他的儿子、埋怨他的媳妇,因为娶妻生子了,所以他们不养我,没有反躬自省,没有改正自己过错的认识。说着他抬头一看,认出是佛陀,赶紧跪下说:佛陀!您救救我,我到底用什么道理,才能感化教育我的儿子?你看还是要教育别人,还是要求佛陀帮助他,看来这个老人家是一点道理都不懂。
「一切福田,不离方寸,从心而觅,感无不通」,六祖惠能大师说的,他不知道向内求,只知道向外求,找原因。我们看看佛陀怎么帮忙他的。诸葛长青:阿弥陀佛。是啊,一切都是因果,一切福报都是自己功德的变现啊。要向自己内心祈求,不要外部渴求。
佛陀很慈祥的说,道理要用心听,它翻译成普通话了,可能就是谛听。他说道理要用心听,才能启发他的良心。
老人说:那要启发我的儿子,教育他们就难了。你看他还是认为要教育儿子,要启发别人。因为现在他们心中,只有自己的妻儿,没有多余的时间听道理。你看还是想要教育别人,找别人的问题。
佛陀说:只要你用心,仍然可以。
老人问:我要如何用心?
佛说:你什么都不要想,只要记得将你手中的拐杖,用心拿好,走路时用心走稳。咱们说这是什么?止,止住妄念,止在哪里?止在拐杖上;完了,观。你要用最虔诚的心,去感恩这根拐杖。
其实佛陀很婉转的指出了他身上存在的问题,您之所以老人家今天福薄到这种程度,就是不会感恩,换句话说,感恩的人有福,感恩的人不会当乞丐。
你要用最虔诚的心,去感恩这根拐杖,因为它帮助你走路,这是第一条,你要看到,你要知恩。第二件事,怎么观察这个拐杖,若有恶狗跑来,你可以用拐杖赶走牠,第二个作用。佛陀启发他,你手里这个拐棍,第一帮你走路,第二有恶狗来,它可以把恶狗赶走,保护自己。涉水时可以用拐杖去探探深浅,以测安全,你看第三个作用。过河的时候,可以用拐棍探探水的深浅,来保证安全。它助你走出一条平坦的路,不会踢到石头而跌倒,这一切你都要用心感恩它。如果你的意念言语都很用心,就能感化你的儿子。怪不怪,迷信吗?我怎么感恩这根拐杖,我的儿子就能得到感化?不可思议。
这个故事为什么佛选了一个乞丐而讲出来?
它说明一个道理,贫贱福薄到像乞丐这样的人,都有要感恩的东西,更何况我们今天在座的诸位。乞丐,社会的最底层,而且是老婆罗门,没有劳动能力,只能靠要饭度日,就这种人都有要感恩的对象。换句话说,你之所以今天福薄到这种程度当乞丐,就是因为你不会感恩。佛不可能把福给你,也不可能把好的命运给你,只能把教育给你、把方法给你,你自己要照着修,福就来了,就能感化你的儿子。诸葛长青:阿弥陀佛。善哉善哉。是啊,佛法广大,从来都是法宝巨大,而实际上,需要每个人自己努力啊。老人心想,这的确是真的,这个时候我还能靠谁?你看启迪智慧。我只能依靠这根拐杖而已,这根拐杖给我的帮助最大,我应该感恩。你看,找到感恩的对象了,明白感恩的道理了,从此老人拳拳服膺佛陀所说的话,听话、老实、真干!拳拳服膺,一丝不苟,坚决落实,不再抱怨儿子娶妻生子,没有心照顾我,所以把我轰出来了。用那个时间,不干这个,不搞是非人我,不找他人的麻烦和责任,而一心一意的感恩,每一天都感念着拐杖的恩情。你要在今天咱们说不是傻子吗?原来是叫花子,今天变成疯子了,感念着拐杖的恩情。有时他脱口而出,边走路边念叨:感恩!感恩拐杖帮助我走路,感恩拐杖让我探测水的深浅,感恩拐杖保护我的身体轰走恶狗。你看这三件事,做这样的观想,止住妄念,止住是非人我,止住埋怨儿子的这种怨气。他不断不断的感恩,一门深入,长时熏修,心想口念均是感恩。
老人的七个儿子在平时的生活中,唯有妻子儿女是他们的最爱。有一天他们听人说,城里有一位佛陀能够赐福给世人,若求佛赐福,人人都可得到最大的福报。真的吗?真的,福自己求,命由我造,福自己求,佛不可能把福给你,他告诉你修福的方法而已。我们看看这七个儿子是怎么转变的?这七个兄弟就相邀一起去求佛赐福,自私自利,到这个时候,想要福,谁不想要福,谁不想过好日子?人生一世福愈大愈好,所以就相邀,咱们一块去,找佛来赐福,多好的事,甚至连妻儿都带去了。到达王舍城耆阇崛山时,佛陀正在为大众开示。那一天老婆罗门也拿着拐杖,捧着碗出来祈祷,现在他所有的烦恼都去除了。大家注意听这句话,会感恩的人的标准是什么?所有的烦恼都去除了。换句话说,只要有一毫的烦恼,你感恩感得不圆满,感恩感得不究竟。不要小看「所有」这两个字,做到是真难。
他所有的烦恼都去除了,心里只有感恩,一心只有感恩。不给烦恼留地方,人家就一个拐杖,他没别的了,除了拐杖可能就是空气了,白吸。所以边走还是边念着感恩,感恩他的拐杖。咱们今天看,这神经病。会感恩的人不是神经病。有人路过看到老人那么慈祥,又满口的感恩,于是问他,老人家您的心那么知足感恩,您一定是位有福的人。你看会感恩的人有福。有什么福?一个叫花子,一个乞丐。那个人接着说,您可知道佛陀在王舍城耆阇崛山说法,您想不想去看看佛?让佛为您祝福。
老人听了满心欢喜,他说:非常感恩佛陀,佛曾在路途中对我开示,所以我现在过得很欢喜。「一箪食,一瓢饮,回不改其乐」。你看他是个叫花子,心里过得很欢喜。「未发其福,先发其慧」,《了凡四训》上说,他的福还没发出来,智慧先发了。未发其福,先发其慧,知道感恩的人就有智慧,福还没现前,智慧先出来,以慧导福。所以我现在过得很欢喜,心灵很自在,不知如何才能再见到佛,再闻佛陀的开示。
这位过路的好心人就说:我正要去礼佛闻法,我们可以一起去。福报现前了,有人告诉他佛在讲法,能闻法是福,老人就随着好心的过路人去了耆阇崛山。那时佛陀已经开始说法了,老人从远处慢慢的走来了,边走还是边念着感恩,感恩拐杖帮助我,一直走到佛前。佛陀看到他就说:你来了,老婆罗门看你这么欢喜,你到底如何感恩?你来这里再多念几次吧。当时有很多人听闻佛法,老人不知他的儿子们也在场,他面露笑容,满面风光,一点没有烦恼的说。你看看这三句话,「面露笑容,满面风光,一点都没有烦恼」。
感恩什么样子?你说我有感恩的心,我会感恩,我知道感恩,我懂感恩,那你必须面露笑容,满面风光,一点都没有烦恼,这三个标准你做到了,感恩于内,外露其相就是这三点。诸葛长青:阿弥陀佛。要让自己内心充满阳光,让自己内心充满快乐。
我很感恩这根拐杖,它伴我走路、伴我生活,帮助我度过危险的路;让我渡水时,知道深浅;如果有恶狗,还可以用它保护我,把狗赶走,所以我感恩手中的这根拐杖。佛陀听了很欢喜,用眼睛扫视着他的七个儿子和七个媳妇。
佛陀语重心长的说:对!人生最重要的就是要有感恩心,一根拐杖就可以帮助你生活,可以让你那么欢喜的过日子,所以你应该感恩。世间有很多人不如一根拐杖,不知孝敬父母,将来的因果一样会受到儿子的折磨,还要堕入地狱,像这样的人生就是欠缺感恩心,若能孝养父母才是有大福之人。佛就讲完了,七个儿子媳妇看着自己老父亲,又听到佛陀的说法,实在惭愧得无地自容。他们的良知即刻被启发,七个儿子同时站起来,媳妇也跟着一起来到佛陀的面前顶礼,感恩佛陀。然后转过身到老父亲身边,扶着他说:我们很惭愧、很忏悔,从今天开始要请父亲回家,一定要奉养您,这时七个儿子都争着要迎请父亲回家孝敬。故事讲到这就完了。
自度才能度他,老人家不知道感恩,现世受这种苦报,当乞丐,有儿子不孝养他。儿子不孝养父亲,佛说了要堕入地狱,自毁就是毁他。而老人家并不是找街道委员会去做七个儿子的工作,也不是到法院去打官司,要跟这七个儿子掰哧,让法院做出裁决。「行由不得,反求诸己」,知道自己的德行薄,知道自己的福薄,要修,而修福最好的方法就是存一颗感恩的心。老人家感恩拐杖,通过这根拐杖,这是个药引子,把感恩的心引发出来,福报就现前了。福报现前,七个儿子都争着要孝养他,那是大福之人。而七个孩子都孝养父亲这颗心一发,他们还会堕地狱吗?不会了。
不孝养父母肯定要堕地狱,而孝养父母就不会了。老人家把自己的感恩心一出来,依报随着正报转,儿子是依报,他的正报好了,转了,会感恩了,你看依报全变了。
所以《弟子规》上说的,「勿自暴,勿自弃,圣与贤,可驯致」,强调的就是正报。《了凡四训》上说,「凡有财有势者,其立德皆易」,你建立德行都容易;「易而不为,是为自暴」,你自暴了没关系,你是正报,你正报自暴自弃,依报就跟着倒霉了。所以如果这个老人家要跟儿子结怨,冤冤相报,指责别人的不是,指责别人不孝养父母、不懂事,自己毁了,也把儿子毁了。自己有了感恩心,境界提高了,儿子也救了,这叫大圆满。
三、叫花子尚且感恩,我们难道不要感恩吗?
回过头来,回到我们的主题,中国传统文化能够带动企业成功,成功是福,哪个企业老板不想成功?福从哪来?福从感恩来。感谁的恩?
三、叫花子尚且感恩,我们要做的更好。
一个叫花子都有感恩的地方,你发现不了感恩的对象吗?
拿我胡小林来说吧,上十亿的身价,不知道感恩,司机、秘书、员工、客户、分包,以至于餐厅的服务员,爸爸妈妈就更不用说了,没有感恩,不懂得感恩,找不到感恩的感觉。最后你不成功,最后你没有福气,老了没人养,有钱挣不到,身体一塌糊涂。您,咱们这儿说,可谁都不能埋怨,因为什么?
因为您没有学传统文化,因为传统文化告诉你如何修福。所以中国传统文化之所以能带动企业走向成功,就是中国传统文化告诉我们第一件事,人要感恩,人要知恩报恩。知恩叫解,我知道恩在哪里;报恩叫行,解行要相应。
我们回过头来看看,我们比乞丐强多了,我们知恩报恩吗?我们净空老人家昨天晚上开示,催人泪下。国家有灾难,世界有灾难,我虽然不能回国弘法,我要离的祖国近一点,再近一点。香港在祖国的边上,要解救祖国,要为祖国化解灾难。简简单单的几句话,振聋发聩,听起来很惭愧。我们不知恩,更谈不上报恩了。谁说我们不知道净空老和尚的恩,谁说我们不懂得报恩。知恩报恩是什么样子?我们说说什么样的人是知恩的人,什么样的人是报恩的人?这个乞丐知恩吗?知恩。感恩吗?感恩。什么样子?拳拳服膺佛陀的教诲,真干!真改。我们呢?守了这么一位慈祥的老人家,这么智能的老人家,讲经弘法这么多年,对祖国不离不弃,我们知恩吗?我们可比乞丐强太多太多了,乞丐路上碰到佛陀,我们是天天守在老人家身边,灌不进去这个教导,不照着做!
今天下午开六和敬的会,怎么才能做到六和?一个不感恩的人耻谈六和。一个不改过的人怎么可能六和?所以感恩和改过是六和的基础,也是大乘佛法的精髓,也是佛之心印。三藏十二部四十九年,世尊没说别的,不是让你感恩就是让你改过,不是让你改过就是让你感恩。大道易简,简到四个字。我们真照着做,就像这位老人家一样,福气就现前了、福报就现前了。我们福报现前了,我们好了,国家就好了,依报随着正报转。我们成天说孩子不孝敬,国家有灾难,自然灾难很多,社会很多问题,都是依报。
我们的正报不好,依报怎么能好?你正报不改,依报怎么改得了?换句话说,依报就是一面镜子,照着我们的正报,我们看到依报出了问题,不仅不能埋怨这个依报,要生起三个心。
第一是惭愧心,正报出了问题,感得依报这样一种状态。
第二要有感恩的心,他是大夫来到我的身边,指出我身上存在的疾病,我知道病在哪里了,麻烦大夫来一趟,说出我的疾病。
第三,行动就要报恩,报恩真的治病,你真把病治好了,这个大夫就不白来,你真的要感这个大夫的恩,就是要听大夫的话,把病治好。你把病治好,自己的身体好了,同时大夫种了一个好因,拯救了一个人,大夫在修福。
自度就是度他,你要真想感大夫的恩,你就得把病治好。为什么?因为你治好病这个因是大夫,你好了这是个果,有果必有因。这个善果的善因就在于大夫指出你的疾病,这才是对大夫最好的报答。如果大夫给你指出了疾病,你不好好治病,你反而破罐破摔,反正就这样了。我不知道这个病还罢了,我知道这个病,我变本加厉做坏事,自暴自弃的速度更快,强度更大,你可就把这大夫害了。你看一念觉是佛,一念迷就是魔;一念觉就是自度度他圆满,一念迷自毁毁他是地狱。
所以我们在企业落实中国传统文化,仅仅的做为我个人来讲,我最最深刻的体会,就这一天二十四小时,除了睡觉之外,醒着就给自己两个任务,第一发现感恩的对象,第二找到自己的过错,这齐了。为什么?儿子就回来孝养你了,你不用再想别的了。这老人家想什么?什么都没想,就是感恩这个拐杖,感着感着福报现前了。诸葛长青:阿弥陀佛。时刻感恩,一切都会越来越好。
君子乐得做君子,小人冤枉当小人,你看老人家面露笑容,满面风光,一点烦恼都没有。你看君子乐得做君子,最后怎么着?七个儿子争先恐后来养他。这个道理很深,依报随着正报转,一切法由心想生,相由心生,境随心转,心现识变,这不都是这个道理吗?所以问题不在外,问题在内。内,我没有问题,我们最大的问题就是发现不了自己的问题。所以我们要感老和尚的恩,我们要知恩,我们要报恩。(本文资料摘自学佛网)
