All sentient beings in the nine dharma realms, whether they are suffering from internal physical and mental diseases, worries, external human persecution, or unexpected distress; Or whether it is physical, psychological, career, human affairs, even intelligence, bodhisattva progress, or even Buddha's fruit, if you have something to ask for, but can recite the holy name of Bodhisattva wholeheartedly, Bodhisattva will see with a thousand eyes and protect with a thousand hands, so that it can be happy from suffering and satisfied.

Nanwu Guanyin Bodhisattva. According to the Lotus Sutra, Guanyin is a merciful Bodhisattva. If people are in distress, just call his name, and he will come to help them. He has a compassionate heart of "praying for thousands of places, and the bitter sea often makes a boat".
As we all know, "Amitabha in every family, Guanshiyin in every household". From these two words, we can see that the mercy of Guanshiyin Bodhisattva goes deep into every family.

The Dharma Hua Sutra · The General Items said that Sakyamuni Buddha replied to the question of the Bodhisattva, "What is the reason for the name of Avalokitesvara.
According to the sixth volume of Shurangama Sutra, the initial practice of this Bodhisattva was not to hear from the outside, but to hear from the inside, so as to achieve the "dynamic and static two phases, clear and not living". If the common people's ear root is to separate the voice from the outside, which is moved by the external environment, such as praise or slander, causing the annoyance of greed, hatred and love, causing the evil karma of killing and stealing, and suffering the bitter retribution of life and death, this is to observe and analyze the falsehood of the voice in the world, and be able to enter into the stillness of the solution and escape.
The Dharma Hua Sutra, General Mercy, said: "If there are hundreds of billions of sentient beings suffering from all kinds of sufferings, the Guanyin Bodhisattva will be named with all his heart. The Guanyin Bodhisattva will be relieved when he observes his voice." That is to say, if there are sentient beings in distress, as long as he hears that there is a Guanyin Bodhisattva, and devotes himself to chanting the holy name of Guanyin, the Guanyin Bodhisattva will immediately hear the voice of each sentient being and give relief at the same time, So it is called Guanshiyin.
The Sutra of Compassion also said, "The Treasure Buddha teaches that you should observe all living beings, have great compassion, want to break all the sufferings of all living beings, and want all living beings to live in peace and happiness, so now you should be called Guanshiyin." It can be seen that the Shurangama Sutra is based on the self-cultivation of Guanshiyin Bodhisattva, while the Dharma Sutra of Compassion and the Sutra of Compassion are based on Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Why is Avalokitesvara also known as Guanzi? According to the original meaning of the Sanskrit word "Ashfala of the Azaru Zhidi", it contains the meaning of "observing and governing" or "monarch", that is to say, observing and governing all laws. Now let's borrow the words of Master Taixu to explain, He said: "Because Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva has the wisdom of Prajna, and can see all the five implications are empty, so he can save the suffering. Ordinary people who hold the five implications for the world and for me cannot see all the five implications are empty, there is self, others, others, and me. If they can see all the five implications are empty, then everyone's right and wrong can be eliminated. If they really achieve no one without me, then they can take the suffering of all people as the suffering. Only in this way can they achieve great compassion, achieve the great personality of selflessness, and play to save the suffering The role of rescue. Self-interest is wisdom, altruism is compassion. The Bodhisattva, based on the body of intelligence, plays a compassionate role, and observes all living beings in the Dharma world. He is free and unhindered, and is known as Avalokitesvara. It is also known as freedom. Avalokitesvara is to observe freedom, which is also Avalokitesvara, and the Great Compassionate Heart of the Dharma Sutra is called Avalokitesvara Freedom.
According to the records of the Sad Hua Sutra, in the past, when Amitabha was the Wheel Holy King, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva was the first prince of this king, named "Bubu". At that time, after the treasure Tathagata gave the record to the Wheel King, The Prince Bu came up to the White Buddha and said, "Blessed One, today I will tell all sentient beings in a broad voice that all the good roots I have come back to Anuttarasambhuti (supreme right and other enlightenment) 。 May when I practice the Bodhisattva Way, if any sentient beings suffer from all kinds of sufferings and horrors, lose their faith and power to pursue the Dharma, fall into the great darkness without light, feel uneasy, sad, lonely, poor and poor, there is no one to ask for help and protection, no dependence and no house. If he can remember me and recite my name, and the voice of asking for help is heard by my heavenly ear and seen by my heavenly eye, it is all suffering beings. If I can't relieve him of all kinds of pain and trouble, he will not achieve the Buddha of the Supreme Buddha. Buddha, today I should launch the most extraordinary wish for the sake of all living beings. I hope that if the Wheel Sage (Amitabha) completes all the victories of the Buddhas in the world of peace and happiness in the Western Pure Land, and enters into nirvana, even when the Dharma still lives, I will practice Bodhisattva to benefit all living beings at that time. When the Dharma of the Infinite Life Buddha was extinguished at the beginning of the night, I immediately achieved the supreme Buddha fruit of Anuttarasambhuti in the following night, and continued to transform all sentient beings. "
At that time, the treasure Buddha, Immediately give him a note and say: "You observe and remember the people in the heavens and all living beings in the three evil ways, and have a great compassion. In order to cut off all the sufferings of all living beings, and to make all living beings live in a safe and happy place, I should name you 'Avalokitesvara' today. After the Infinite Longevity Buddha entered Nirvana, the second Gangesha and other monks only looted, and the land was renamed as the 'world made by all treasures'. All kinds of solemn treasures are boundless, and it is a happy world What you can't achieve is that under the Bodhi tree, you have achieved Anuttarasambhuti, the title of which is: 'All the bright merits of the mountain king Tathagata'
These two great Bodhisattvas, at the place where the Golden Lion played the Tathagata, first developed the mind of Anuttarasambhasa. Amitabha will enter Nirvana after countless times and calamities in the future. After entering Nirvana, the duration of the Dharma in the world is equal to the infinite life span of Amitabha. Amitabha, after living in the world and entering Nirvana, the number of all living beings that have been transformed is equal and boundless. After Amitabha enters Nirvana, some sentient beings will not see the Buddha, but if there is a Bodhisattva who can recite the Buddha Samadhi, you can always see Amitabha's Dharma body is immortal. After the Amitabha Buddha showed that all the treasures of the Blissful World, the colorful lotuses in the water bath, and all the trees made by the treasures still speak the Dharma sound, which is no different from what Amitabha Buddha said personally.
The Great Compassion Sutra also states that the Buddha is in the palaces of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, and in the solemn ashram of the treasures. At this time, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva magnified the light and shone on the boundless and boundless three thousand worlds. He explained that before the immeasurable billions of years ago, he had lived in the place where the King of Light was still, endured the study of the 'Great Compassion Dharani' (Great Compassion Mantra), and immediately transcended from the original Bodhisattva to the eighth Bodhisattva, which should have a thousand hands and thousands of eyes. Because of the holding of the Great Compassion Mantra, all the places in life and in life should always be reborn in front of the Buddhas. Therefore, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva made a vow and said, "If there are sentient beings who can be held to read and recite the Great Compassion Mantra, and if they can not live in the pure land of the Buddhas, I will swear that I will not become the supreme and equal enlightenment."
The name of Guanyin Bodhisattva has been mentioned in many Mahayana Sutras. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who has never been robbed, has achieved great mercy and has benefited all living beings. In the sea of life and death, he is used as a boat raft and as a lamp in the dark night. The constant view of all living beings calls the sound of chanting the holy horn, which is neither bitter nor joyful.
The Fahua Sutra - Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's General Product says: "All living beings are in distress, suffering immeasurably. Avalokitesvara has wonderful intelligence, can save the suffering of the world, has full powers of magic, and has wide and convenient cultivation of wisdom. All the lands in all directions are not present at any moment, all kinds of evil interests, hell ghosts and animals, life, old age, sickness and death, and gradually know the end." It also says: "The official office of the court of litigation is afraid of the battle. When the Guanyin power is read, the grievances will be dispersed. The Miaoyin Guanyin, the Sanskrit Ocean Tide Sound, and the other world sound are better than the other world sound. Therefore, you should always read them. Do not doubt when you read them. Guanyin is pure and holy. When you die in distress, you can serve as a guardian. You have all merits. Look at all living beings with kindness, and the sea is boundless."
In Shurangama Sutra, Guanyin Bodhisattva said, "I can get through the root, make the ear sound, and then the body and mind are delicate, and contain the whole Dharma world, so that all living beings can hold my name, which is the same as that of the six and two billion princes of the Ganges Sand Dharma. The two are just like the same." In the Fahua Sutra, the Buddha also told the Infinite Mind Bodhisattva: "If someone takes the name of 6.2 billion Gangesha Bodhisattva and provides food, clothing, bedding and medicine in all forms, it is a blessing for two people, just like the name of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, or even a worship service. It is worth hundreds of billions of kalpas."
In the Sutra of the Goddess of Mercy, Avalokitesvara said, "Blessed One, my name is hard to hear. If someone calls the name of the ten trillion Buddhas or the name of Avalokitesvara again, the two people will be just as happy." "Blessed One: If a good man, a good woman, and all sentient beings are diligent day and night, and call me by my name, all of them will get away from all the sufferings, all the obstacles, all the fears, and all the three karmic sins, and all of them will be eliminated. Moreover, according to this sutra, if you practice as the law, you should know that you are a person, that is, you will get the mind of Avatar, three contempt, and three Bodhisattva, as in your palm." Buddha also told Ananda in the secret sutra of the Thousand-Light Vision of Bodhisattva: "But it is often called the name, and so on, to provide for the merits and virtues of the Tathagata of 6.2 billion Ganges sands. Besides, the blessings of offering sincerely are immeasurable."
Because Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, regardless of the local practice or the cause of benefiting life, is based on the spirit of great compassion, loves all living beings equally, and does unlimited and endless relief work; It is not only sad and bitter, but also merciful and happy. So compassion is the aspiration of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Compassion is the virtue of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Compassion is also the special merit of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Avalokitesvara, driven by infinite compassion, once saved the sufferings of all sentient beings and achieved the Tao of all sentient beings. Those who recite the holy name of Bodhisattva have the same merit and virtue as those who recite the name of Bodhisattva, not only as those who recite the name of Bodhisattva, but also as those who recite the name of Bodhisattva, who provide the name of Bodhisattva to the 6. 2 billion Prince of the Ganges Shafa.
In today's world, human suffering is heavy and disasters are frequent. We are in urgent need of mercy relief from Guanyin Bodhisattva. If everyone can recite the holy name of Guanyin Bodhisattva, everyone can learn from the great mercy of Guanyin Bodhisattva, everyone can carry forward the spirit of Guanyin Bodhisattva to seek voice to save suffering, equality and happiness, and make himself and others become the modern great mercy of Guanyin, which can naturally dissolve the hatred of the people, stop the struggle in the world, save the misfortunes of the world's human beings, and give the happiness of human life and spiritual happiness to the world!
Three Bodhisattvas
Bodhisattva Dharma Body. Avalokitesvara is an ancient Buddha that has been achieved for a long time. The original name is "Dharma Buddha", and the Dharma body is always in the Pure Land of Silence. In order to save all sentient beings, he drove the mercy boat backwards and showed the 3000 world in the form of Bodhisattva. He was divided into hundreds of billions of people. He searched for the voice to save the suffering, saved the predestined sentient beings, and widely dreamed of the Buddha. He was the Bodhisattva who prayed for thousands of answers in his life. In the universe of Dharma, the Bodhisattva Mahatha enlightened by the Dharma Tathagata is limitless. Bodhisattva has endless compassion and wishes, no regrets and no regrets. His compassion and wisdom are incredible. When the Amitabha Buddha in the Blissful World dies after the immeasurable disaster, the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva will appear to become a Buddha in the second half of the day, with the name of "Buddha of the King of Puguang Gongde Mountain", carrying the Western Blissful World Dharma.
Bodhisattva reports his body. The Bodhisattva's real body is said to be the Bodhisattva's real body. According to the Sutra of Buddha's View of Infinite Life, the Bodhisattva of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva has a body length of 8 billion, which is determined by his Ganges River. The body is purple and gold. There is a bun on the top. The item has a round light. The noodles are hundreds of thousands of days old. There are five hundred Buddhas in its round light. Such as Sakyamuni. 11. Buddha. There are five hundred Bodhisattvas in the boundless sky. Think of the waiter. Raise the five sentient beings in the body light. All colors and forms appear in the middle. On the top is the wonderful treasure of Pilangamani. Think of the crown of heaven. There is a standing Buddha in its crown. High school students are in their late teens. The face of Avalokitesvara is as golden as Yan Fu Tan. There are seven precious colors between the eyebrows. Eighty-four thousand kinds of light flow out. Bright. There are countless thousands of Buddhas. 11. Buddha. Countless bodhisattvas are regarded as waiters. Realize freely in all directions. The arms are as red as lotus flowers. There are eight billion subtle lights. Think of Yingluo. In its wreaths. All solemn things should be observed. The palm of the hand is made of 50 billion mixed lotus flowers. Ten fingers of the hand. There are eighty-four thousand paintings at the fingertips. Like a seal. The painting has 84 thousand colors. There are 84 thousand lights in one color. Its soft light shines all over. Use this treasure to attract all living beings. When lifting your feet. There are thousands of spokes under the foot. Nature has turned into a bright platform of 50 billion yuan. When you step down. There are diamond mani flowers. Everything that is spread out is full. The rest of you look good. Like Buddha. Only the top bun and no top appearance. Not as good as Buddha.
The incarnation of Bodhisattva. According to the records of the Sad Hua Sutra, Avalokitesvara was the crown prince of the wheel holy king Wujingnian before the immeasurable robbery. He made a great wish to break all the sufferings and troubles of all living beings with great compassion and make them live in peace and happiness. For this reason, the treasure Tathagata named him Guanshiyin. "Avalokitesvara, a brave husband," is said in the Huayan Sutra. Avalokitesvara was introduced into China during the Three Kingdoms period. Now we see Avalokitesvara statues worshipped, mostly female. However, at that time, the Avalokitesvara mostly showed a powerful husband. The murals in the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, and the statues in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, both of which are male. Before the Tang Dynasty in China, most of the Avalokitesvara statues were male, and many of the Avalokitesvara in India were male.
The Buddhist scripture says that when traveling around the Dharma world, the Great Master Guanyin often uses all kinds of good skills and conveniences to transform all living beings, and that is to say, what kind of body should be used by all living beings, that is to say, to transform it into reality, that is, thirty-two should. Guanyin Bodhisattva is an ancient Buddha that has been achieved for a long time. The original name is the Dharma Buddha. The Bodhisattva dharma body is not separated from the Pure Land of Silent Light, but is divided into millions of people. It should transform the three thousand worlds and widely dream about the Buddha, show the Bodhisattva and other aspects, look for the voice to save the suffering, help the Buddha to spread, and spread all sentient beings. The bodhisattva's infinite body has already transcended the three realms. Of course, there is no clinging to the skin, color, body and gender. Bodhisattva thirty-two should, Buddha, man of heaven, Arhat, male, female, boy, official, lay person, etc., all living beings should be in what body, and Bodhisattva should be in what body, and save according to the situation. After the Southern Song Dynasty in China, Avalokitesvara statues were mostly female and were widely popular among the people. In modern times, the form of Goddess of Mercy has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the public.

古今高僧大德和无量居士实践证明,经常念诵“南无观世音菩萨”名号,可以化解灾难、消除罪业,得到护佑、得到无量福报果报。
九法界众生,无论是内在身心疾病绵缠,烦恼困扰,外在人事逼害,意外苦厄;或无论是生理上,心理上,事业上,人事上,甚至聪明智能,菩提上进,乃至佛果,凡有所求,但能一心称念菩萨圣号,菩萨即以千眼照见,千手护持,令其离苦得乐,称心如意。
诸葛长青感恩观世音菩萨对人类的救助,也祝福天下所行善积德的有缘者富贵吉祥、心想事成。
南无观世音菩萨。据《妙法莲华经》说,观音是大慈大悲的菩萨,如果人们遇难,只要喊他的名字,就会前来救助,有着“千处祈求千处现,苦海常作度人舟”的慈悲心肠。
众所周知:“家家弥陀佛,户户观世音”,从这两句话可以看出观世音菩萨的慈悲深入到每一个家庭中。
观音菩萨,梵文
Avalokiteśvara,又作观世音菩萨、观自在菩萨、光世音菩萨等,从字面解释就是“观察(世间民众的)声音”的菩萨。
他相貌端庄慈祥,经常手持净瓶杨柳,具有无量的智慧和神通,大慈大悲,普救人间疾苦。
观世音菩萨:中国民间流传最广泛的人物,她的形象遍布全国各地的寺庙之中,绘画、雕塑及许多工艺品中也有其形象,她集智慧、慈悲,救苦救难良好等品德真善美于一身,到处都受到人们的爱戴和尊重。
《悲华经·受记品》谓菩萨在远古因地修行时期,观音菩萨因发大悲誓愿而蒙宝藏如来授记:“善男子,汝观天人及三恶道一切众生,生大悲心,欲断众生诸烦恼故,欲令众生住安乐故,善男子,今当字汝,为观世音。”。
《法华经·普门品》谓释迦牟尼佛就菩萨“以何因缘,名观世音?”的提问答复无尽意菩萨:“善男子,若有无量百千万亿众生,受诸苦恼,闻是观世音菩萨,一心称名,观世音菩萨即时观其音声,皆得解脱。
《楞严经》卷六所说这位菩萨最初的修行方法,是耳根不向外闻,而是向内自闻耳根中能闻的闻性,由此做到「动静二相,了然不生」。不若一般人的耳根是向外分别声音,致受外境例如赞叹或诽谤所动,生起贪嗔爱恶的烦恼,促成杀盗淫妄的恶业,再受轮转生死的苦报,这也就是观察分析世间音声之虚妄不实,而能不受所动,入于如如不动的大解脱境。
《法华经·普门品》说:「若有无量百千万亿众生,受诸苦恼,闻是观世音菩萨,一心称名。观世音菩萨,即时观其音声,皆得解脱。」也就是说,凡有众生,若在苦恼之时,只要听说有一位观世音菩萨,而专心虔诚地称念观音圣号,观音菩萨便会立即听到每一众生的音声而同时予以救济,所以叫做观世音。
《悲华经》中也说:「宝藏佛授记云:汝观众生,生大悲心,欲断众生诸苦恼故,欲众生住安乐故,今当字汝,为观世音。」可见,《楞严经》是依观世音菩萨法门的自修而言,而《法华经》(普门品)及《悲华经》则是依观音菩萨的度他而言。
为什么观世音又名为观自在?根据梵文「阿缚卢枳帝湿伐逻」的原义,含有「观照纵任」或「君主」的意思,也就是观照万法而任运自在的意思。现在借用太虚大师的话来作一解释,他说:「因为观世音菩萨有般若的智慧,照见五蕴皆空,所以能救苦救难。平常人执五蕴为世界、为我,就不能照见五蕴皆空,有自、有他、有人、有我。要能照见五蕴皆空,则人我是非皆能消除。真正做到无人无我,则能以众人苦难为苦难,这样才能成就大慈大悲,才能成就大公无私的伟大人格,发挥救苦救难的作用。」(见《太虚全书·杂藏》五五一页)
自利是智,利他是悲,菩萨依智能之体,起慈悲之用,遍观法界众生,随其机缘,拔苦与乐,自由自在,无所障碍,因名观世音。亦名观自在。观世音即是观自在,观自在亦即是观世音,而大悲心陀罗尼经,世尊则名之为观世音自在。
按照《悲华经》的记载,在过去的时劫中,当阿弥陀佛为转轮圣王的时候,观世音菩萨即为此王的第一太子,名为“不眴”。(为方便阅读,以下内容已进行了白话。如有不当之处,请以原经文为准。)
当时宝藏如来为转轮王授记以后,不眴太子上前禀白佛陀说:“世尊,今日我以广大音声,告知一切的众生,我所具有的种种善根,全部回向阿耨多罗三藐三菩提(无上正等正觉)。愿我行菩萨道的时候,若有众生遭受到种种苦恼恐怖等事,退失了追求正法的信念和力量,堕落到没有光明的大黑暗处,身心不安忧愁孤独贫穷困苦的时候,没有可以求救保护的人,没有依靠也没有房屋。如果他能够忆念著我,称念我的名号,而那个求救的音声被我天耳所闻,被我天眼所见,如是一切苦难众生,若我不能为其免除如此种种痛苦烦恼者,终不成就阿耨多罗三藐三菩提之佛果。世尊,我今天更当为了众生的缘故,发起最上殊胜的大愿,期愿假使当转轮圣王(阿弥陀佛),在西方净土安乐世界,作完种种诸佛度化众生的胜事,入于无余涅盘之后,乃至正法仍然住世时,我将在那时,修菩萨道利益众生。当无量寿佛正法在初夜分灭去之后,我即刻在其后的夜里,成就阿耨多罗三藐三菩提无上佛果,继续度化一切众生。”
当时宝藏佛,马上为他授记说:“你观察忆念诸天人民、以及三恶道中一切众生,而生起大悲心,为了断除众生一切的苦恼,为了令众生住于安稳快乐的处所之缘故,我今日应当命名你为‘观世音’,无量寿佛入涅盘后,第二个恒河沙数等阿僧祇劫,彼国土转名为‘一切珍宝所成就’世界,所有种种庄严宝物,无量无边,是安乐世界所不能及的,你在菩提树下,成就阿耨多罗三藐三菩提,号为:‘遍出一切光明功德山王如来’.
此二位大菩萨,于金光狮子游戏如来之处,初发阿耨多罗三藐三菩提心。将来无量久远不可计数时劫之后,阿弥陀佛当入涅盘。入涅盘后,正法住世的时间,与阿弥陀佛无量无边的寿命相等。阿弥陀佛住世及入涅盘后,所度化的众生,其数量悉皆相同平等、无量无边。阿弥陀佛入涅盘后,某些众生即见不到佛,但如果有菩萨证得念佛三昧者,即可时时见到阿弥陀佛的法身常住不灭。阿弥陀佛示现灭度之后,极乐世界一切宝物,流水浴池各色莲华,以及众宝所成的一切行树,仍然恒常演说法音,与阿弥陀佛亲身说法没有差异。
又《大悲经》言:佛在补陀落伽山,观世音菩萨的宫殿,众宝庄严的道场之中。此时观世音菩萨,放大光明普照十方无量无边的三千大千世界,自己说明自己于过去无量亿劫前,在千光王静住如来处所,承受学习‘大悲心大陀罗尼’(大悲咒),即刻从初地菩萨顿时超越到第八地菩萨,应时具足千手千眼。由于受持此大悲神咒的缘故,生生世世所在之处,皆得恒常在诸佛面前莲华化生。因此观世音菩萨发誓愿说:“假使有众生,能受持读诵大悲神咒者,若不能往生诸佛清净国土者,我即发誓不成无上正等正觉。”
观音菩萨的名字,在许多的大乘经中,都提到过。在显教方面,例如:《法华经》、《成具光明定意经》、《维摩诘经》、《放光般若经》、《光赞般若经》、《大宝积经》第八十二卷及第一百卷、《楞严经》卷六、《旧译华严经》卷五十一、《新译华严经》第六十八卷、《悲华经》、《地藏经》、《阿弥陀经》卷上、《无量寿经》卷下,以及《观无量寿经》等;在密教方面则有:《金刚恐怖集会方广轨仪观世音菩萨三世最胜心明王经》、《陀罗尼集经》、《一切功德庄严王经》,《大悲心陀罗尼经》、《清静观世音普贤陀罗尼经》、《菩提场所说一字顶轮王经》、《大方广曼殊师利经》、《大日经疏》卷五、《千光眼观世音菩萨秘密法经》、《理趣经》、《最上根本大乐金刚不空三昧大教王经》、《阿俐多罗陀罗尼阿噜力经》、《不空绢索神变真言经》等。
观世音菩萨,无量劫来,成就大慈大悲法门,利益众生,于生死苦海,为作船筏,于无明长夜为作明灯。恒观众生称念圣号之音声,无苦不拔,无乐不与。
《法华经-观世音菩萨普门品》云:「众生被困厄,无量苦逼身,观音妙智力,能救世间苦,具足神通力,广修智方便,十方诸国土,无刹不现身,种种诸恶趣,地狱鬼畜生,生老病死苦,以渐悉令灭。」又云:「争讼经官处,怖畏军阵中;念彼观音力,众怨悉退散。妙音观世音,梵音海潮音,胜彼世间音,是故须常念。念念勿生疑,观世音净圣,于苦恼死厄,能为作依怙,具一切功德,慈眼视众生,福聚海无量。」
《楞严经》中,观音菩萨说:「由我所得圆通本根,发妙耳门,然后身心微妙,含容周遍法界,能令众生,持我名号,与彼共持六十二亿恒河沙诸法王子,二人福德,正等无异。」《法华经》中释尊亦告无尽意菩萨:「若有人受持六十二亿恒河沙菩萨名字,复尽形供养饮食、衣服、卧具、医药,与受持观世音菩萨名号,乃至一时礼拜供养,是二人福,正等无异,于百千万亿劫,不可穷尽。」
《佛说十一面观音神咒经》中,观音菩萨言:「世尊,我观世音菩萨名字,难可得闻,若复有人,称十万亿诸佛名字,或复有人称观世音菩萨名字者,彼二人福,正等无异。」又云:「世尊:若善男子,善女人,及一切众生,昼夜殷勤,称我名者,皆得阿毗跋致地,现身得离一切苦恼,一切障难,一切怖畏,及三业罪,悉得除灭。况复有人,依此经教,如法修行,当知是人,即得阿耨多罗三藐三菩提心,如在掌中。」释尊亦在千光眼观自在菩萨秘密法经中告诉阿难:「但常称名号,等供养六十二亿恒河沙数如来功德。何况至诚供养,其福无量。」
因为观世音菩萨,无论是因地修行或果上利生事业,皆本乎大慈大悲的精神,平等爱护众生,作无限度、无止境的救济工作;何止悲心拔苦,且大慈与乐。所以慈悲,是观音菩萨的志愿,慈悲,是观音菩萨的德性,慈悲,亦是观音菩萨的特殊功德。观音菩萨,由于无限慈悲的驱使,曾经救拔无边众生的苦恼,成就无量众生的道业。凡称念菩萨圣号之人,其功德不但与称念供养六十二亿恒河沙法王子相等,且与称念供养六十二亿恒河沙数如来功德相等。
当今之世,人间苦难重重,灾祸频生,正急于需要观音菩萨的慈悲救济。如果人皆能称念观音菩萨的圣号,人皆能学习观音菩萨的大慈大悲,人皆能发扬光大观音菩萨寻声救苦、平等与乐的精神,使自己与他人都变为现代大慈大悲的观世音,自然可以溶化人心的仇恨,止息人间的斗争,以及拯救全世界人类的不幸,给予全世界人类生活上的幸福,与心灵上的快乐!
菩萨三身
菩萨法身。观世音菩萨是久已成就的一尊古佛,原号“正法明如来”,法身不离常寂光净土。为普渡众生,倒驾慈航,又以菩萨身示现在三千大千世界,分身百千万亿,寻声救苦,救度有缘众生,广做梦中佛事,是千处祈求千处应的一生补处菩萨。在法界宇宙星系中,正法明如来所教化的菩萨摩诃萨已无量无边。菩萨悲愿无尽,无怨无悔,慈悲智慧不可思议。在无量劫后,极乐世界阿弥陀佛灭度时,观音菩萨就会在当日下半夜示现成佛,名号“普光功德山王如来”,运持西方极乐世界正法。
菩萨报身。报身即俗话说的菩萨真身,《佛说观无量寿经》载:观世音菩萨身长八十亿那由他恒河沙由旬。身紫金色。顶有肉髻。项有圆光。面各百千由旬。其圆光中有五百化佛。如释迦牟尼。一一化佛。有五百菩萨无量诸天。以为侍者。举身光中五道众生。一切色相皆于中现。顶上毗楞伽摩尼妙宝。以为天冠。其天冠中有一立化佛。高二十五由旬。观世音菩萨面如阎浮檀金色。眉间毫相备七宝色。流出八万四千种光明。一一光明。有无量无数百千化佛。一一化佛。无数化菩萨以为侍者。变现自在满十方界。臂如红莲花色。有八十亿微妙光明。以为璎珞。其璎珞中。普现一切诸庄严事。手掌作五百亿杂莲华色。手十指端。一一指端有八万四千画。犹如印文。一一画有八万四千色。一一色有八万四千光。其光柔软普照一切。以此宝手接引众生。举足时。足下有千辐轮相。自然化成五百亿光明台。下足时。有金刚摩尼花。布散一切莫不弥满。其余身相众好具足。如佛无异。唯顶上肉髻及无见顶相。不及世尊。
菩萨化身.据《悲华经》的记载,观世音无量劫前是转轮圣王无净念的太子,名不拘。他立下宏愿,生大悲心断绝众生诸苦及烦恼,使众生常住安乐。为此宝藏如来给他起名叫观世音。《华严经》中说:“勇猛丈夫观世音”。观世音大约是在三国时期传入中国的,现在我们看到供奉的观世音菩萨像,多是女相。不过在当时,观世音大多示现威武的丈夫相。甘肃敦煌莫高窟的壁画和南北朝时的雕像,观音皆作男身。在我国唐朝以前观世音的像大都男相,印度的观世音菩萨也有很多是现男相的。
佛经说观音大士,周游法界,常以种种善巧和方便度化众生,众生应以何身得度,即化现之而为说法,即是三十二应。观音菩萨是久已成就的古佛,原名正法明如来,菩萨法身不离寂光净土,而分身百千万,应化三千大千世界广做梦中佛事,示现菩萨等相,寻声救苦,助佛弘化,广度众生。菩萨无极之体,早已超三界之外,当然更无皮囊色身和男女之相的执着了。菩萨三十二应,佛,天人,罗汉,男,女,童子,官员,居士等,众生应以何身得度,菩萨则以何身为现而为说法,随缘救度。我国南宋以后,观音菩萨像多以女相为主,广受百姓欢迎。到现代,女相的观音菩萨形相已深植大众百姓心中。
