The wisdom of Confucius disciples is superior: from Confucius' four requirements
Confucius' education is different from that of others. His four requirements enable his disciples to have the world in mind and benefit the common people.
----Zhuge Changqing
amitabha.
Blessed life is limitless.
Confucius, the supreme teacher of Dacheng.
We read the history and marveled at the Chinese culture.
Take Confucianism for example, if you pay a little attention to it, you will find the feelings of sages and sages of Confucianism.
Confucius has three thousand disciples and seventy-two sages.
Confucius used his wisdom all his life to teach students in accordance with their aptitude, and to teach them without discrimination, so that his disciples were superior in wisdom, literary and military strategies, and benefited the society and the country.
Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC), Confucius was named Qiu, and the name was Zhongni.
A great educator, thinker and politician in Chinese history, and the founder of the Confucian school.
In the Spring and Autumn Period, people from Chou (now Qufu, Shandong Province) of the State of Lu. He founded private schools, recruited and educated disciples, and founded a moral theory with "benevolence" as the core. His teaching remarks and dialogues with his disciples were compiled into the Analects of Confucius, which will be handed down through the ages. Since the Han Dynasty, Confucius theory has become the mainstream of traditional culture for more than 2000 years, and its influence is extremely far-reaching.
Zhuge Changqing's research found that Confucius disciples are actually people who have the world in mind and benefit the common people.
Some have become prime ministers, some have become Confucian businessmen, some have become educators, some have become civil ministers and military generals, some have become the commander of the national army, some have become Confucian masters.
All emperors of the past dynasties regarded Confucius as "the supreme master of Dacheng".
Why can Confucius disciples achieve something?
Zhuge Changqing's research found that there are three reasons:
First, the disciples come from all over the country and sincerely respect and learn from Confucius teachers.
Second, Confucius taught students in accordance with their aptitude without discrimination, which made them leap forward.
Third, the disciples benefited from the four requirements of Confucius, namely, "to be determined by the Tao, to be guided by virtue, to be guided by benevolence, and to be guided by art" (summarized as "morality, benevolence and art").
Confucius put forward these four theories to make disciples become sages of life immediately.
Confucius disciples, based on these four theories, have made great efforts to practice and make contributions.
In the Analects of Confucius: Shuer Chapter, when talking about the cultivation of Confucianism, Confucius said:
Aim at Tao, according to virtue, according to benevolence, and travel in art.
Aspiration to the Tao and virtue is the principle of cultivating morality in a gentleman.
Relying on benevolence and traveling in art - ---- is the way to talk about the external morality of a gentleman.
Zhuge Changqing summarized these four requirements into four words "morality and benevolence". How to understand it?
Zhuge Changqing believes that in a nutshell, there are four things to be done in life and work:
One is Tao. In ambition, we should follow the principles of heaven, humanity and the earth;
The second is morality. Always remember to do good and accumulate virtue on the way of life;
The third is benevolence. Start from caring for the common people and benefiting the society;
The fourth is art. You should be knowledgeable and proficient in the six skills.
Zhuge Changqing believes that these four requirements are simply the ruler for shaping sages.
Confucius told his disciples that these four requirements are also my own requirements in my life. I hope you can do it conscientiously.
So, what he did became 72 sages.
Some predestined people said: these four are too simple, and I can do it.
So congratulations, you have the conditions of sages.
In fact, sages and sages are very simple. They just follow the law of heaven, have a good heart and accumulate virtue, and benefit the society.
From this sentence, we can see that the purpose of Confucius to educate his disciples is also to ask them to finally understand the truth of life and the universe and gain true wisdom. Only in this way can disciples really save themselves, and thus understand how to help others and save themselves.
Aspiration to the Tao and virtue is the principle of cultivating morality in a gentleman.
Relying on benevolence and traveling in art - ---- is the way to talk about the external morality of a gentleman.
"Aspiration to the Tao" means that a gentleman should take the ultimate goal of understanding the Tao, abiding by the principles of heaven, humanity and the earth. In ambition, the highest ideal is to be conscious of him.
"According to virtue" means that in the heart, we should have the virtue of caring for others and benefiting the society. Then, gradually expand this mood. A person can perceive others, even other things, and the greater the scope of integration with himself, it can be said that the virtue he holds is also greater. The more pure his motive is to help the world and save the people. Only in this way can love, love things, love society, love the country, and love the whole world be a false statement.
Aspiration to the Tao and virtue is the principle of cultivating morality in a gentleman.
Relying on benevolence and traveling in art - ---- is the way to talk about the external morality of a gentleman.
"Relying on benevolence" means that a gentleman should conduct himself in the world, taking love and love as the criterion, and benefiting people and things as the target.
"Traveling in art" means that a gentleman should master as much knowledge and skills as possible so as to bring concrete and effective help to others, society, spirit and material in a timely and appropriate manner.
The art of "traveling in art" refers to the six arts of "etiquette, music, shooting, imperial, calligraphy, and counting" in the Confucius era. As far as modern division is concerned.
"Etiquette" includes knowledge of philosophy, politics, diplomacy, education, etiquette, etc.
"Music" includes knowledge and skills in music, dance, art, etc.
"Shooting" refers to archery, art of war, military and martial arts.
"Yu" refers to various driving and operating skills.
"Book" refers to literature, history and self-cultivation.
"Number" includes knowledge of mathematics, science and economics.
As a Confucian gentleman, you must have a basic understanding or mastery of the six aspects of knowledge and skills mentioned above. As for in-depth understanding and mastery, we can focus on it according to personal qualifications and causes.
The "six arts" seem to have a lot of content, but in the fundamental sense, they all have something in common. If we can understand what Confucius said, "consistent". It will be quick and easy to grasp the key points. At this time, you can also really do it. You can swim in the ocean of all kinds of knowledge without being addicted to them.
一是道。在志向上要追求遵循天道、人道、地道;
二是德。在人生道路上要时刻记住行善积德;
三是仁。起心动念要从关爱苍生、造福社会出发;
