Let go of life, have incredible merit.

According to the theory of great wisdom, killing karma is the most serious of all other crimes, and releasing life is the first of all merits and virtues.

According to the sutra of the Vatican, if the Buddha is merciful, he will release his life. All men are my father, all women are my mother, and I am born from them. Therefore, all the six sentient beings are my parents, and killing and eating, that is, killing my parents, and killing my dead body, all the water is my first body, and all the fire is my body, so I always practice releasing, living and living, and the law of living, teaching and releasing. If people kill animals, they should be able to rescue them and relieve their suffering.

Master Dixian said, "Not killing is the first of all precepts, but releasing is the first of all good.".

Li Bingnan, an old Buddhist monk, said: "To set free is to save his life and relieve his pain. The Buddhist precepts do not kill him first. Heaven has the virtue of good life. You can imagine the great merit and the boundless rewards.".

In addition to cutting the flesh, the superior merit and virtue must also be released. There is a Buddhist saying that saving one living creature is better than building a seven-level slaughterhouse. The seven-story pagoda is the seven-story pagoda of the temple, so it seems to know how great the merit of saving a living creature is.

All sentient beings are not only their parents in the past, but also the future Buddhas. You are the Bodhisattva if you let them live.

Master Yuanyin said:

The most precious thing for every sentient being is his own life. If he kills him, he is the most angry and the deepest hatred, so killing karma is the most important. The most precious thing for every sentient being is his own life. If he saves him, he is the most grateful and the most blessed, so let life go first.

Release is to save lives. Unlike other merits, release is to save lives in danger, and to save lives in distress. As soon as we release life, all living beings will be saved from death and regain life. If we do not release life, all living beings will only be killed. Release is an act of saving lives. Therefore, the greatest merit is incomparable with other small virtues!

The most important thing is to convert and chant Buddha. "If you convert to Buddha, you will not fall into hell. If you convert to the law, you will not fall into hungry ghosts. If you convert to monks, you will not fall into animals." After three conversion ceremonies, Wuming received the blessing of the three treasures of Buddhist monks, and the animals will not fall into the three evil ways, so that they can reincarnate and be reborn, and Wuming heard the holy name of "Namo Amitabha" in person. The six-character Hongming is very popular. It is planted with Taoist seeds, and will be able to meet the Buddha Dharma, chant Buddhism and practice, live in the Western Paradise, and break the six cycles of life and death forever. This is the most important meaning of release.

Releasing is the easiest way to eliminate karma, because it can be released in any time, place, number of people, and money. It is because it is easy to do, everyone can do it, and it is too easy to eliminate karma, so our enemy creditors will do everything they can to prevent us from releasing, and not let us remove karma, so releasing has suffered the most obstruction and caused the most criticism; This is due to the deep karma of all living beings. Because of the heavy karma, people's lives are not blessed, and good people are saved from death. Because of the heavy karma, people are not blessed to save their lives and pay off the death debt.

The merits and virtues of liberating are immeasurable. The brief description is as follows:

（1） You can be born in heaven and enjoy the bliss of the infinite. If you also cultivate the Pure Land, you can be born in the Western Paradise.

（2） Longevity, health and fewer diseases.

（3） Avoid natural disasters and disasters.

（4） Generations will prosper and continue to grow.

（5） Be in harmony with the nature, follow the Buddha's order, be grateful for things, and all Buddhas are happy.

（6） The official salary is prosperous and smooth!

（7） Good luck and peace in all seasons.

（8） Relieve injustice and revenge, eliminate all evils, and be carefree.

（9） Many children are suitable for men. All you want is success!

（10） There is no armed robbery and no war.

Today, I share a story about Taiwan's release. The father released the tortoise and the son was saved by the tortoise.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Blessed life is limitless. There is an incredible blessing in releasing.

Sixteen years ago, as a father, Mr. Lin released a big turtle; Sixteen years later, as a son, Mr. Lin was saved by the turtle!! Cause and effect, good deeds and good deeds must be rewarded!

There is a shop in Keelung, Taiwan. The name of the shop is "Fate". The owner, Mr. Lin, is very kind.

One day, fishermen caught a huge tortoise with fishing nets and prepared to kill it for meat. Mr. Lin happened to pass by and saw the tortoise to be slaughtered. He was raising his neck and kowtowing to people all the time. His eyes were full of tears!

When Mr. Lin saw this scene, he immediately felt compassion. He spent a lot of money to buy the tortoise, and then asked someone to send it back to the seashore for release. He carved the five words "fate number release" on the tortoise shell, which means asking later people to hold up their hands and not hurt it again.

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Blessed life is limitless. Generally, it is not allowed to carve words on it for release. If it is for the purpose of later people to catch injuries again, it is OK to carve words on the big hard shell.

After writing, the tortoise was released. At that time, many people stood at the seaside to watch the excitement. The big tortoise floated and sank in the water. After nodding to Mr. Lin again and again, he gradually left

Everyone was touched by it and made an appointment with each other. When we meet such big tortoises again, the slogan of "no catching, no killing, no eating" is still in the local area today!

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Blessed life is limitless. The slogan of "no catching, no killing, no eating" is moving. Good deeds and good deeds will be rewarded.

Sixteen years later, Mr. Lin's second son was admitted to the Taipei Business School. He took the day boat home on holiday. Unfortunately, he hit the rocks and sank. More than 100 passengers on the boat were engulfed by the waves!

Young master Lin was also floating and struggling in the sea. His strength was gradually exhausted and his consciousness was blurred. He was about to sink into the sea. Suddenly, he felt as if he was held up by something like a round table. When he looked carefully, he was lying on the back of a big turtle!

The tortoise's mouth was as big as a washbasin, which made him jump. He thought that he would be buried in the tortoise's belly, so he planned to turn over and jump into the water, but he had no strength to struggle at that time.

Later, I don't know how long, he suddenly saw that the turtle's back was engraved with the five words "fate number release"!

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Blessed life is limitless. What a magical karma! The father released the tortoise and the son saved it. The magic theory of release and causation.

Only then did I know that this was the big tortoise my father had released! His mood suddenly changed from fear to comfort, knowing that it was to save himself, so he hugged the tortoise while chanting the Buddha's name and praying for blessings.

The tortoise paddled his limbs as if he were rowing a boat. He carried him steadily to the shore in the strong wind and waves. Before reaching the shore, Mr. Lin jumped into the shallow water. When he looked back, the tortoise was still floating on the water. Young master Lin clapped his hands at him and thanked him for saving his life. The tortoise also raised his head and nodded again, as if to return a salute, and then swam away

Only more than ten passengers survived the shipwreck. After investigation, it was found that the survivors were filial sons, virtuous women, and people who usually like to do good deeds. It can be seen that God bless the good people, and bless the descendants of the good people!

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Blessed life is limitless. There is no way out of luck or misfortune. Since ancient times, people who are filial to their sons and grandchildren, respect the old and love the young, and do good deeds and accumulate virtue will be rewarded with good fortune.

Cause and effect are not bad at all. In the vast sea, how could that big turtle know that there was a shipwreck?

How could you know that the son of the benefactor was in trouble in the sea?

They have never met. How can the tortoise find him in the sea and carry him ashore?

Even with a lot of manpower, we may not be able to find it!

Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha. Blessed life is limitless. How did the turtle save Mr. Lin's son? Zhuge Changqing cracked the secret for the predestined.

Zhuge Changqing once said in the previous release article, why would the release person have a good fortune, be lucky in the face of difficulties, and respond to all demands?

Zhuge Changqing believes that there are three reasons: first, release of life is earthshaking, and the Buddha, Bodhisattva and the good god will help in time; The second is that the saved lives will always be grateful, and they themselves and the Dharmapala behind them will use their magic power to thank the people who saved them; The third is that the person who continues to release will have the light of charity, and will emit the charity factor that exists in the universe. When he needs help, the light of charity and the charity factor will notify the relevant cause to help.

The merit and virtue of Mr. Lin, who was released 16 years ago, meet the above three conditions. The blessing has been around his family. So when his son is suffering, the Buddha, Bodhisattva and God of Mercy will notify the turtle to help him. At the same time, Turtle will pay close attention to Mr. Lin's family with magic power, and will be rescued naturally.

Mr. Lin saved the tortoise and set it free for rebirth. Sixteen years later, it turned out that he saved his own child and set it free for rebirth!

amitabha. Release is to save lives. In fact, release is also to save yourself.

放生，具备不可思议功德。

大智度论云：诸余罪中，杀业最重，诸功德中，放生第一。

梵网经云：若佛子以慈心故，行放生业。一切男子是我父，一切女人是我母，我生生无不从之受生，故六道众生，皆是我父母，而杀而食者，即杀我父母，亦杀我故身，一切地水是我先身，一切火风是我本体，故常行放生，生生受生，常住之法，教，放生。若见世人杀畜生时，应方便救护，解其苦难。

谛闲大师云：不杀为诸戒之首，而放生为众善之先也。

李炳南老居士云：放生是救他生命，解他痛苦，佛戒第一不杀，天有好生之德，可以想见功德之大，所得善报无量无边。

上等功德，除了断肉外，必须兼放生，佛家有一句话说：救一众生，胜造七级浮屠。七级浮屠就是寺庙的七层宝塔，这样看起来就知道救一个众生的功德是多么大。

一切众生不但是过去父母，亦是未来诸佛，你放它的性命你就是菩萨。

圆因师父云：

每一个众生最宝贵的是自己的生命，杀了他，他最恼恨，冤仇结得最深，所以说杀业最重，每一个众生最珍贵的还是自己的生命，救了他，他最感激，福善积得最深，所以说放生第一。

放生就是救急，与其他的功德不一样，放生是救性命垂危，朝不保夕的受果受难的众生，我们一放生，当下众生就免除死难，重拾生机，我们不放生，众生就只有受宰待杀的唯一死路了，放生是救急救命的行为，所以功德至大，非其他小善所能比拟！

放生最重要的是皈依以及念佛。「皈依佛，不堕地狱。皈依法，不堕饿鬼。皈依僧，不堕畜生。」物命在经过三皈依仪式后，承佛法僧三宝加持，畜生报尽，不再沦入三恶道中，得以转世超生，并且物命亲闻「南无阿弥陀佛」圣号。六字洪名盈盈入耳，既植道种，他日因缘成熟，必能值遇佛法，念佛修行，往生西方极乐世界，永断六道生死轮回，此乃放生中之大放生，是放生中最重要的意义。

　放生最容易消业障，因为不限时间、不限地点、人多人少、钱多钱少都可以放生，正因为简单易行，人人可为，太容易消业障，所以我们的冤家债主便无所不用其极，千方百计阻挠我们放生，不让我们消业障，所以放生所遭受的阻挠最大，所引起的批评最多；这是因为众生业障深重的缘故。因为业障深重，众生物命无福值遇善人受救免除死难，因为业障深重，人们无福救赎生命，偿还杀债。

放生的功德无量无边，不可胜数。简述如下：

（一）得生天上，享无极之福，若兼修净土，直可往生西方极乐世界。

（二）长寿、健康、少病。

（三）免天灾横祸，无诸灾难。

（四）子孙代代昌盛，生生不息。

（五）合天心，顺佛令，物类感恩、诸佛欢喜。

（六）官禄亨通，一帆风顺！

（七）喜气吉祥，四季安宁。

（八）解冤释仇，诸恶消灭，无忧无虑。

（九）多子宜男，所求顺遂！

（十）无刀兵劫，免除战争杀祸。

  今日分享一篇台湾放生感应故事。父亲放生乌龟、儿子被乌龟所救。

诸葛长青：阿弥陀佛。福生无量天尊。放生有不可思议的福报。

十六年前，作为父亲的林先生放生一只大海龟；十六年后，作为儿子的林公子被海龟所救！！因果也、行善积德必有福报也！

台湾基隆有一家商店，店名叫做“遇缘号”，老板林先生为人很仁慈。

有一天，渔夫们用渔网抓到一只特大乌龟，准备杀掉卖肉。林先生恰好路过，见待宰的乌龟，正抬起脖子一直对人磕头，两只眼睛都流下了眼泪！

林老先生看到这一幕，顿时生起恻隐之心，不惜花大笔金钱，把乌龟买下来，又请人把它送回海滨放生，并在乌龟壳上刻下“遇缘号放生”五个字，意思是请求后来人高抬贵手，不要再伤害它。

诸葛长青：阿弥陀佛。福生无量天尊。放生一般不要在上面刻字，如果是为了以后的人再次捕捉伤害，在大硬壳上是可以的。

写好之后，就把乌龟放生了，当时好多人站在海边看热闹，那只大乌龟在水中时浮时沉，向林先生再三点头致谢后才渐渐离去……

大家看了都很受到感动，彼此约好，以后再遇到这种大乌龟，都“不捕、不杀、不食”这“三不”的口号，到今天还在当地留传！

诸葛长青：阿弥陀佛。福生无量天尊。“不捕、不杀、不食”这“三不”的口号，令人感动，行善积德必有福报啊。

十六年后，林先生的二公子考上台北商业学校，假日乘日轮回家，不幸触礁沉没，船上一百多名乘客，被海浪吞没九十多人！

林公子也在海中漂浮挣扎，逐渐体力不支，意识模糊，眼看就要沉入海底，忽然间他感觉好像被一个圆桌般的东西托起来，仔细一看，自己正躺在一只大乌龟的背上！

乌龟的嘴巴大得像脸盆，吓他一大跳，心想这下子一定会葬身在乌龟腹中了，于是打算翻身，再跳入水中，但当时已经没有力气挣扎了。

后来不知过了多久，他忽然看见乌龟的背上竟然刻有“遇缘号放生”五个字！

诸葛长青：阿弥陀佛。福生无量天尊。真是神奇的因果报应啊，父亲放生乌龟、儿子乌龟所救。神奇的放生因果理论。

这才知道，原来这是父亲当年放生的那只大乌龟！他的心情顿时由恐惧变成安慰，明白它是来救自己的，于是一边抱紧乌龟，一边念着佛号，祈求保佑。

乌龟划动四肢，好像划船一般，在狂风大浪中稳稳地载他上岸，还没到岸边，林公子就跳上浅滩，再回头看时，大乌龟还浮在水面。林公子就向它合掌，拜谢救命之恩，乌龟也扬起头，又点点头，好像还礼的样子，然后才转头游走不见……

那次海难，只有十多位乘客生还，经调查发现，幸存者都是些孝子、贤妇，还有平时喜欢行善布施的人，可见上天保佑善人，并且加佑仁者的后代！

诸葛长青：阿弥陀佛。福生无量天尊。祸福无门惟人自召。自古以来，孝子贤孙、尊老爱幼、行善积德人都会得到好福报。

因果是一点不差的，茫茫大海中，那只大乌龟怎会知道有海难发生呢？

又怎会知道恩人的儿子落难在海中呢？

他们从来没碰过面，乌龟又怎能在大海中找到他并托载他上岸呢？

即使以大量人力来找，也未必能够找到啊！

诸葛长青：阿弥陀佛。福生无量天尊。大海龟如何救助林先生儿子的呢？诸葛长青给有缘者破解这个秘密。

诸葛长青曾经在以前的放生文章中讲过，放生者为什么会有福报、会遇难成祥、会有求必应？

诸葛长青认为有三个原因：一是放生惊天动地，佛菩萨、善神会及时救助；二是被救的生命会永远感恩，他们自己以及背后的护法神会用神通感激救助他的人；三是持续放生的人身上会有慈善之光，会发射出慈善因子存在宇宙之中，当他需要救助的时候，慈善之光、慈善因子会通知相关因缘去救援。

林先生十六年前放生产生的功德具备以上三个条件，福报已经围绕他们全家，所以他儿子遇到苦难，佛菩萨善神会通知海龟因缘救助。同时海龟会用神通关注林先生一家，自然会被救助了。

  林老先生当年一念仁慈，救下乌龟，放它重生，十六年后，事实证明，他是救了自己的孩子，放自己的孩子重生啊！ 

  阿弥陀佛。放生就是救命，实际上，放生也是救助自己啊。
