Giving food is prescribed by Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha himself, who said that anyone can give food.

  To give food is to overtake living beings, eliminate karmic obstacles, overtake debtors and accumulate blessings.

  Giving food is as simple as releasing life.

  All you need is: a glass of water, some rice, a clean place, and a ritual, and you are done.

  The merit of giving food is however very great as it is blessed by the Buddha, Bodhisattvas and good deities.

  The merit of giving food once = the merit of feeding a thousand billion Buddhas

  Many sentient beings ask Zhuge Changqing, "Can giving food really save living beings?

  Is it true that Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha said that giving food can transcend living beings?

  Amitabha Buddha, we are grateful for the blessings of the Buddha and the good deity. The compassionate Buddha and the good deity specially arranged for two boys with magical powers to see the whole process of giving food, and let "Pixue", "Yumei" and "Shui Xia" record it. "They were able to record the event and tell the world about it.

  They saw the whole process of giving food with their heavenly eyes.

  I would like to thank "Piaoxue", "Yumei" and "Shui Xia", the two magical boys who gave the food. Thank you to them for showing up and saying what they wanted to say, they were the Bodhisattvas of compassion.

  They shared the sight of the two Avatar boys seeing the alms giving during the alms giving exchange.

Hello, Mr Zhuge Changqing.

  Amitabha Buddha!

  I am sharing with you the scene of the 17 year old boy and another boy who saw the food giving.

  The following was sent by the same teacher.

  I. The almsgiving scene as seen by fellow almsgiver Yumei, the Avatar Boy     

   1. A boy of 17 years old saw thousands of sentient beings, and he dared not look at them.

  2. The beings were rushing to eat many vegetarian meals.

  3. He saw a large golden lotus flower open in front of him and many went up into the air.

  4. There were several lotus flowers, and a large one opened before him. The beings stood on the lotus and laughed.

  5. I asked the young Bodhisattva about it he said that the beings were like people, they could not see their faces and they were not wearing clothes.

  The sight of the almsgiving seen by the charismatic son of the almsgiver "Shui Xia".

  1. At noon today, my elder sister was not at home, so my son and I went to the land temple to give food.

  2. My son saw many beings with fire coming out of their mouths and the feeling of their bodies being burnt by fire, which was very painful.

  3. Later it felt like it was raining from the sky and put out the fire on their bodies, and he saw a lot of food that they wouldn't eat, and he wondered if there was fire in their mouths and they wanted water, and then a lot of water appeared and they drank the water before they ate, and they ate happily.

  Amitabha Buddha.

  What they saw was a miraculous sight of food giving. Very good.

  I. The first miraculous boy saw the sight.

  1. We gave food to a boy who was seventeen years old and he saw thousands of beings.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. Omen of countless beings coming to the scene of the almsgiving. After the alms-giving call, the sentient beings who need to be overtaken are filled with gratitude and joy and quickly assemble to participate in the alms-giving.

  2. Sentient beings rush to eat many vegetarian meals.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. It is very good that the omen of food giving succeeded in rescuing them, enabling them to eat and relieving their hunger. The merit of giving food is very great.

  Buddha Shakyamuni said in the Sutra on the Taste of Manna: "If you give food on one day, all the hungry ghosts in the world will be fed. If you give food for many days, all the hungry ghosts in the ten directions will be fed".

  3. He saw a great golden lotus flower open before him, and many went up and floated away into the air.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. It was very good, the heralding Buddha and Bodhisattva had enjoined and overtaken them.

  4. There were several lotus flowers, and a large one opened before him. The beings stood on the lotus and laughed.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. There were many lotus flowers, auguring that the Buddha and Bodhisattvas had blessed and transcended many living beings.

  The appearance of one in front of him foretells that he will enter the Buddha realm with great merit in the future.

  Why did they all smile? It was to thank the person who gave the food.

  Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha said in the Sutra of the Buddha on Giving Manna to Hungry Ghosts, "At that time, all the six hungry ghosts and spirits in the ten directions came to gather. They look up to the practitioner. They were like seeing their parents. "When those hungry ghosts saw the giver of food, they looked up to him as if he were their parents.

  5. I asked the young Bodhisattva about this he said that the beings are like people, they cannot see their faces and they are not wearing clothes.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. This is the sight of the sentient beings before they are transcended. After drinking the nectar water, receiving the ritual blessing and eating the food, they will put on beautiful clothes.

  Why is it necessary to recite the eight Buddha's names in the food ceremony? Because the eight Buddhas have great magical powers, and one of them, the "Myriad Coloured Body Buddha", will change their clothes for them.

  6. Zhuge Changqing suggests that you can tell the kindred spirit "Yumei" and the boy with the divine powers to continue to observe and write more detailed descriptions and insights in the future to share with more kindred spirits.

  Secondly, the second Avatar boy saw the almsgiving.

  1. At noon today, when my elder sister was not at home, I went to the Land Temple with my son to give food.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. Continued food giving will bring blessings.

  2. My son saw many sentient beings with fire coming out of their mouths and the painful feeling of their bodies being burnt by fire.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. What this divine boy saw was exactly the pitiful sight of hungry ghosts before they were transcended.

  Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha said in the Buddha's Sutra on the Rescue of Flaming Hungry Ghosts: "Flaming hungry ghosts, with thin, withered and scorched bodies are extremely ugly, and their mouths are on fire and they swallow like needle blades ......".

  Amitabha Buddha, the boy saw, to verify the Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha said the true is not false ah.

  3. Later it felt like it was raining in the sky and put out the fire in their bodies, and he saw that there was a lot of food they didn't eat, and he wondered if there was fire in their mouths for water, and then a lot of water appeared, and they drank the water before they ate, and they were very happy to eat.

  Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. Seeing the rain is the sight of manna water sprinkling all over the Void Dharma Realm, ah, manna water can quench the fire on their bodies, it can extinguish the fire in their throats, it can make them eat food.

  What the Avatar Boy saw was the very sight of each step of the food-giving ritual changing.

  Zhuge Changqing repeatedly stressed that the food-giving ritual should be followed? Because then it will be complete, eh? It is true and of immense merit to give food continuously and to save living beings.

  4. Zhuge Changqing suggests that you can tell your benefactor "Yuxia" and his son to continue to give food, to continue to observe, and to write about what you see and feel in the future, so that you can share it with more benefactors.

What are the acts of abstaining from killing and releasing

 戒杀与放生的行为包括哪些

 1. Do not kill a living being with your own hands.

　　2. Do not abet others to kill.

　　3. Do not help others to kill.

　　4. Abstain from eating meat.

　　5. Do not engage in trades related to killing.

　　6、Whenever there is worship, regardless of what is being worshipped, use vegetarian dishes, flowers and fruit, not animal gifts.

　　7. If you see someone killing a human being, you should discourage them or buy the animal to be slaughtered with money and release it. If this does not work, or if the person does not sell the animal, then you should have compassion for the slaughtered animal, and even better if you can recite the Buddha's name or mantra for it.

　　8. Do not abuse the animal.

　　9、Other actions that are contrary to killing.

　　10. Abstain from killing and releasing animals yourself, and advise others to do the same. 

   1、不亲手杀生。

　　2、不教唆别人杀生。

　　3、不帮助别人杀生。

　　4、戒除肉食。

　　5、不从事与杀生有关的行业。

　　6、凡有祭拜，不管拜的是什么，一律用素菜、鲜花、水果，不用牲礼。

　　7、见人杀生，应加劝阻，或用钱将临宰之动物买而放之。若劝阻无效，或他不卖，则应对被杀之动物起同情心，若能为它念佛号或往生咒更好。

　　8、不虐待动物。

　　9、其他与杀生行为相反之行为。

　　10、自己戒杀放生，也劝别人戒杀放生。
