Food-giving induction question and answer: Dreaming of a dragon god who wants to follow the practice施食感应问答：梦到想跟随修行的龙神

Give food, induction is great, blessing is great, persistent, there will be a request.

  Giving food is a good way to directly overtake the living souls of debtors and accumulate blessings.

  Giving food, like releasing life, is simple, convenient and of great merit.

  Giving food is in accordance with the Buddhist teachings. Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha said that anyone with a good heart can do it.

  To give food, it should be in accordance with the rituals. For details, please refer to the food-giving rituals in Mr Zhuge Changqing's Sina blog post.

  Recently, one of the benefactors, Ji Xiao, told a story about how she was inspired to give food to a dragon god who wanted to follow her practice.

Hello, Mr. Zhuge Changqing.

   I am sorry to bother you again, Sensei.

  This week, instead of giving food by the river, I gave food on the third floor balcony of my office and on the grass next to one of the departments.

  I have given food twice, and I don't have many dreams at night, but there are two in particular.

  1. One early morning I dreamt that the janitor asked me why I was not giving food by the river anymore, I told him why and woke up.

  2. I dreamt that it was very dark and there was a very dirty big pool - black and just dirty - and there was a black whirring thing inside that wouldn't let me go and followed me. Later, in that very big black thing, I didn't hear clearly what I was asked, but I was teaching him to recite the holy name, I only remember teaching him to recite the holy name of Namo Amitabha Buddha, and finally I woke up.

A food giver, "Ji Xiao"

Teacher Zhuge Changqing answered and said.

  Amitabha Buddha.

  1. One morning I dreamt that I saw the gatekeeper asking me why I had stopped giving food at the river.

   Zhuge Changqing: Very good. There are many living beings at the river who need your continued help to overtake them, and they turn into old men asking you when you are going to give food. It means that the almsgiving is of great merit and touches heaven and earth, so it is really true. We suggest that you can go to give food once a week, so that you can take care of them and make them receive merit.

  2. I dreamed that there was a black whirring thing that wouldn't let me go and followed me, and later on that very large black whirring thing, didn't hear clearly what I was asked, but I was teaching him to recite the holy name.

   Zhuge Changqing: Amitabha Buddha. Very good. That black thing was a practising dragon god nearby, and you gave food by the river so that he heard the Buddha's teachings and so wanted to study them with you.

  The next time you dream of it, you can give him an enlightenment, give him the three conversions, talk about the cause and effect of Buddhism, tell him some stories about doing good deeds and having blessings, the Dharma, etc. You can make him wish to do good deeds and promote Buddhism, so that he can achieve fruitfulness in the future.

  You can also ask him if he is willing to accept the supernatural service, and if so, you can invite him to participate in the food offering to accept the supernatural service. If you still want to continue your practice, you can ask him to be your protector deity and help you to propagate the Dharma and give food. Just like when Sun Wukong converted to Monk Tang, you can ask this Dragon God to be your assistant.

  3. It is very good that you continue to refine, and you have the mission of responsibility in this life to propagate the Dharma and to propagate it more. Many people, living beings and practising deities need help from the Dharma.

  4. You are a beginner, read more about the basics of Buddhism and Taoism, and read more of your teacher's blog posts to enlighten your wisdom.

  Doing good deeds and accumulating virtue will bring you blessings.

  Have faith and perseverance, cheer up.

   Zhuge Changqing wishes all those who have the good fortune to honour their parents, do good deeds, give food, and donate scriptures for printing, great fortune and good fortune.

    Zhuge Changqing suggests that beginners can do the following.

   Firstly, read the food-giving ritual (written version) a few times. Familiarise yourself with the basic concepts, the basic content of the alms giving.

   We suggest that you, copy or print it out for easy understanding.

All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions.

All the gods and immortals in the three worlds and ten directions.

All the sages of the past and present.

     Do not do evil and practice good deeds. Be persistent and answer all your requests.

What are the acts of abstaining from killing and releasing

 戒杀与放生的行为包括哪些

 1. Do not kill a living being with your own hands.

　　2. Do not abet others to kill.

　　3. Do not help others to kill.

　　4. Abstain from eating meat.

　　5. Do not engage in trades related to killing.

　　6、Whenever there is worship, regardless of what is being worshipped, use vegetarian dishes, flowers and fruit, not animal gifts.

　　7. If you see someone killing a human being, you should discourage them or buy the animal to be slaughtered with money and release it. If this does not work, or if the person does not sell the animal, then you should have compassion for the slaughtered animal, and even better if you can recite the Buddha's name or mantra for it.

　　8. Do not abuse the animal.

　　9、Other actions that are contrary to killing.

　　10. Abstain from killing and releasing animals yourself, and advise others to do the same. 

   1、不亲手杀生。

　　2、不教唆别人杀生。

　　3、不帮助别人杀生。

　　4、戒除肉食。

　　5、不从事与杀生有关的行业。

　　6、凡有祭拜，不管拜的是什么，一律用素菜、鲜花、水果，不用牲礼。

　　7、见人杀生，应加劝阻，或用钱将临宰之动物买而放之。若劝阻无效，或他不卖，则应对被杀之动物起同情心，若能为它念佛号或往生咒更好。

　　8、不虐待动物。

　　9、其他与杀生行为相反之行为。

　　10、自己戒杀放生，也劝别人戒杀放生。
