Inspiration for success: quotes that strugglers must memorise carefully
To achieve great things, one must be hard-working, hard-working, patient and strong.
----- Zhuge Changqing
Life is a journey of struggle.
Many people have high ambitions and aspirations, and they always want to do something.
But when they encounter difficulties and obstacles, they become discouraged.
When times are tough, people tend to lose their will.
Some sigh, some are pessimistic and disappointed, some are willing to fall and may break the pot. Some are unable to control temptation and fall into inferiority complexes.
In fact, hardships and trials are also practice questions for God to test people.
God will arrange some difficulties to test the strivers.
How can you think that all good things come easily? Isn't it?
This is why a few people succeed in the end.
According to Zhuge Changqing, if you are filial to your parents and have clear goals, coupled with ambition, a desire to benefit society and nothing that goes against the way of a gentleman, then you can struggle hard and you will definitely succeed in the end. If you have strong confidence and perseverance, you will succeed.
Today, Zhuge Changqing sends this passage from Mencius to those who are fortunate enough to be blessed with strong confidence and perseverance towards success.
Mencius said.
When the sky is about to descend upon a man, he must first suffer his heart and mind, toil his bones and muscles, starve his body and soul, empty his body, and act in a way that is disruptive to his work.
We have all read this famous passage before, but today we are giving it again to those who are fortunate enough to have it, because it is so good.
This passage is from Mencius - Under the Admonition of the Son.
Mencius said.
Shun was born in the field, Fu was raised among the prints and buildings, Jiao Li was raised among the fish and salt, Guan Yiwu was raised among the soldiers, Sun Shu Ao was raised in the sea, and Bai Li Xi was raised in the city.
Therefore, when the sky is about to descend on a man, he must first suffer his heart and mind, toil his bones and muscles, starve his body and soul, and empty his body, so that he can move his heart and endure his nature, and has benefited from what he cannot do.
When a person has a constant fault, then he can change. Trapped in the heart, weighed against the mind, and then made. The man who is trapped in his heart is weighed against his thoughts, and then he is able to act. If one enters, there is no lawful family, if one leaves, there is no enemy or foreigner, and the country will always die. Then we know that we are born in sorrow, but we die in peace and happiness."
Translated into today's words, this passage roughly means.
Mencius said.
In ancient times many people who suffered hardships were selected for reappointment, for example
Shun was appointed by Emperor Yao from the fields, Fu Shuo was appointed by Emperor Wu Ding from the work of building walls, Jiao Li was appointed by Xi Bo Ji Chang from the work of selling fish and salt, Guan Yi Wu was appointed by Duke Huan of Qi as a minister after being released from prison, Sun Shu Ao was appointed by King Zhuang of Chu from the seashore, and Bai Li Xi was appointed by Duke Mu of Qin from the marketplace to the ministerial post.
What does the success of these men tell us?
It shows that if God is about to give a man a heavy responsibility, he must first put his heart through pain, his bones through strain, his life through hunger and suffering, so that his skin is thin, he suffers from poverty, and his work is always upside down and unsatisfactory. Why? Because only in this way will he learn to think inwardly and repeatedly, to be strong and patient, to be indomitable, and to increase his talents which he does not possess. Only such a person will be able to take on a heavy responsibility.
(Zhuge Changqing: For those who are fortunate enough to think about it, are these things honing you? If you are persistent in your faith, you will succeed. You must have patience, persistence and confidence.)
People often make mistakes and only after thinking about it do they wake up and then they can correct them; they are stuck inside and keep thinking about it and then they can do something about it; they learn to show their determination on their faces and express their fighting spirit in their words and then they experience the verve and elegance of a successful person. If there are no worldly ministers who uphold the law and wise men who assist the sovereign within a country, and if there are no hostile countries and foreign enemies abroad, it often leads to ruin.
This serves to illustrate that it is the constant feeling of crisis and sorrow that enables one to survive, while if one longs for ease and pleasure it causes one to wither and die."
Zhuge Changqing: Blessings to all those who have done good and virtuous deeds in the world, strive hard, have faith and perseverance, and you will succeed. Go for it!
