The key is to act immediately

学佛行善积福报:关键是立刻行动

To stop evil and do good will be rewarded. The key to learn Buddhism, practice good deeds and accumulate virtue to change fate is to take immediate action.

Good fortune comes from doing good deeds and accumulating virtue.

For example, honoring parents, abstaining from killing and releasing animals, donating and printing scriptures, and helping the poor are all good deeds.

But many people often say that they have known the truth, but have not done good deeds.

Some predestined people stop after doing one or two good things.

This is also a key reason for many people's slow fate change.

Good is rewarded with good, evil with evil, and no good, where is the good reward?

The good fortune is the result of our ancestors and their own fortune, not the pie from the sky.

The more good you do, the greater the reward. This is the basic cause and effect of human wealth and longevity.

Zhuge Changqing believed that it was the most important to do it immediately after knowing the good reason.

In fact, knowing not to do it is just a dream blueprint; Only when you know what to do will it blossom and bear fruit.

There are many wisdom stories in Buddhism that can directly enlighten us.

Today, Zhuge Changqing shares a famous Zen story with you.

Since the Buddha spread the word of Zen with a smile, Zen has been blooming all over the world like a beautiful lotus.

In 473 AD, the founder of Dharma came to China. After the vigorous spread of Huike, Sangcan, Daoxin, Hongren and Huineng, the second ancestor, the third ancestor, the fourth ancestor, the fifth ancestor and the sixth ancestor of Eastern China, Zen Buddhism blossomed all over China, bearing fruitful results and became increasingly prosperous.

In the Tang Dynasty, there was a famous Zen master named "Zen master Daolin" in the Buddhist Zen sect, and he also had a name: "Zen master ke".

Zen master Daolin, why is it called "Zen master ke"?

Originally, "Zen master Daolin" liked to live on an old pine tree with luxuriant branches and leaves for a long time, and all the Buddhist practices were on this tree. To outsiders, Zen Master Daolin looks like a bird nesting in a tree, so he is called "Zen Master Bird's Nest".

Because of the profound Taoism of Zen master Bird's Nest, people often come to consult the Buddha.

At that time, Bai Juyi, a famous literary magnate of the Tang Dynasty, worked as a prefect in Hangzhou, admiring the practice of Zen Master Bird's Nest, and specially came to visit.

When Bai Juyi saw the Zen master sitting on the edge of the faltering magpie nest, he had a famous dialogue.

Bai Juyi said, "Zen master lives in a tree. It's too dangerous!"

Zen Master Bird's Nest replied, "Tai Shou! Your situation is very dangerous. It's not dangerous for me to sit on the tree!"

Bai Juyi listened with disapproval and said, "What is the danger of me sitting in the mountains and guarding one side?"

Zen master said, "Is it not dangerous to have a continuous understanding of nature when the fire meets the fire?"

Bai Juyi changed the topic and asked, "Master, what is Buddhism?"

Zen master Bird's Nest replied, "Don't do evil, and all good deeds! These are just eight words.".

After hearing this, Bai Juyi disagreed and said lightly: "Master, I thought you would say profound truth. Who knows that you said so simple, even a three-year-old child knows this truth!

Zen Master Bird's Nest smiled and said, "Although a three-year-old child knows the truth, an eighty-year-old man can't do it. Although a three-year-old child knows it, an eighty-year-old man may not be able to do it. Don't underestimate these words, but the content contains a profound truth. There are many things you know, and how many people really practice it?"

Bai Juyi was very ashamed to hear that. He even said that Zen master was very wise.

Zhuge Changqing believes that the dialogue between Zen Master Bird's Nest and Bai Juyi has profound enlightenment for us today. First, Buddhism is simple, direct to the heart, without any complexity and superstition; The second is that it is easy to know, but hard to do seriously. This is also a lot of people in the society who want to learn Buddhism to change their fate, but few really implement good deeds and accumulate virtue. Amitabha, the fate is in your own hands. Standing up, saying and doing is the highest level of practical wisdom.


止恶行善,必有福报。学佛修行、行善积德改命运,关键是立刻行动。

   好命运来自行善积德。

   譬如孝敬父母、戒杀放生、捐印经书、救助贫困等,都是行善积德。

   但是很多人往往说,已经知道道理了,却没有行善行为。

   有的有缘者做过一两件好事,就停止了脚步。

  这也是很多人命运改变慢的一个关键原因。

   善有善报,恶有恶报,不行善,哪里来的好福报呢?

  好命运是祖辈及自己福报换来的,并不是天上掉馅饼掉下来的。

  行善越多,福报越大。这就是人间富贵长寿福报的基本因果。

   诸葛长青认为,知道了好道理就要立刻去做,此是最为重要的。

   实际上,知道了不去做,只是梦想蓝图;知道了去做,才会开花结果。

   佛教中有许多智慧故事可以直接启迪我们。

  今天,诸葛长青和大家分享一个著名的禅宗故事。

  话说自从佛祖拈花微笑传出禅宗以来,禅宗遍犹如美丽的莲花,盛开世界各地。

   公元473年,达摩祖师来到中国,经过东土中国的二祖慧可、三祖僧璨、四祖道信、五祖弘忍、六祖慧能的大力传播,禅宗在中国遍地开花,结出累累硕果,日渐兴盛。

   到了唐代,佛教禅宗出了一位著名的禅师,名叫“道林禅师”,他还有一个名字:“鸟窠(ke)禅师”。

   道林禅师,为什么又叫“鸟窠(ke)禅师”呢?

   原来“道林禅师”,喜欢长期居住在一棵枝叶繁茂的老松树上,念佛修行皆在此树上。外人看来,道林禅师好像小鸟在树上结巢一样,所以就称他为“鸟窠禅师”。

   由于鸟窠禅师禅师道行深厚,时常有人来请教佛法。

   当时唐朝著名的大文豪白居易在杭州当太守,仰慕鸟窠禅师的修行,专门前来拜访。

    当白居易他看到禅师端坐在摇摇欲坠的鹊巢边上,于是有了著名的对话。

    白居易曰:“禅师住在树上,太危险了!”

    鸟窠禅师回答说:“太守!你的处境才非常危险,我坐在树上倒不算危险!”   

   白居易听了不以为然的说:“我坐镇江山,守护一方,有什么危险呢?”

   禅师说:“薪火相交,识性不停,得非险乎?”

   白居易转变话题,又问道:“请问大师,什么是佛法??”

   鸟窠禅师答道:“诸恶莫作,众善奉行!只这八个字而已”。

   白居易听后,不以为然,淡淡的说:“大师,我原来认为您会说出高深的道理,谁知道您说的竟然这么浅显,这个道理,连三岁孩儿都知道啊!

   鸟窠禅师微笑说道:“三岁孩儿虽道得,八十老翁却行不得。这个道理,三岁孩儿虽然懂得,八十老翁却不一定就能做到。你不要小看这几句话,内容却包含深深的道理啊。知道的很多,真正认真实践的又有几个呢?”   

   白居易听了十分惭愧,连说禅师高见、禅师真是大智慧啊。

   诸葛长青认为,鸟窠禅师与白居易的对话,对我们今天的人有着很深的启迪意义。一是佛法简单,直指人心,没有什么复杂和迷信;二是知道容易,认真去做却很难。这也是社会上想学佛改命运的人很多,但是真正落实行善积德很少。阿弥陀佛,命运就在自己手里,立说立行,这是实践智慧的最高境地啊。
